Zum Übernachten ok, aber nicht komfortabel

Die Lage ist super!

Wir haben kurzfristig eine Unterkunft benötigt, da wir auf einer Veranstaltung in Bayreuth waren. Die Lage ist super und man kann auch um die Ecke kostenlos an der Straße parken. Das ist auch schon, zusammen mit dem netten Personal, das einzig positive. Insgesamt haben das Gasthaus und auch das Zimmer einen alten und schmuddeligen Eindruck hinterlassen. Wir waren nur zum Übernachten dort, können also nichts zum Essen sagen. Wir werden allerdings nicht wiederkommen, da wir uns nicht wohl gefühlt haben.

Ghost Hotel

Nobody was there for check in. Had to wait outside for over 2 hours until somebody opened the premises.

Disappointing

It was pretty quite.

Thanks to the lucky coincidence, I managed to check in. The staff is never at the hotel, and it's impossible to reach them by phone or email. There is no internet connection in the room at all. They could have brought some shampoo and toilet paper to my room without a thousand requests.

Brilliant double bed but otherwise disappointing room

Bed was good it was a proper double [i.e. 1 bed for two people] unlike most German Hotels. The shower was good but the nozzles needed cleaning to get the jets right.

It was built into the eves. The wooden floor had not been moped so it made my bare feet dirty. It was expensive but that was probably due to the Mozart Festival being on at that time.

Badly run and unprofessional hotel. Not recommended.

Breakfast was good.The beer garden was good.

I arrived pretty late, around 10:30 as my train journey was disrupted by the large number of people using the €9 ticket. A big problem all over Germany. Checking was supposed to be by 20:00. Nobody at the hotel. I called the contact number and they were very reluctant to come and let me in even although I had emailed them telling them I would late. Eventually, will reluctance they can sand let me in. Not very professional. As for the hotel. It’s more like a beer garden with an attached hotel and it does not seem well run. There was no Wi-Fi information, the light in the toilet was out, a generally run down and poorly finished quality throughout.

my room was spacious and bright. the furniture provided was fitting and comfortable.

the internet connectivity was very poor and hardly any internet in the dining hall.

Superb

Clean and modern room, but with few socket. The hotel is close to the highway and not far away from the inner city.

real getaway location but close to everything

the location was fantastic. While you felt that you were in a fairly secluded place you were only ten minutes walk from the centre of Bayreuth. We came home late one night and the owner made us a meat and cheese platter even though the kitchen was closed. excellent value
