Totalmente recomendable

Ancient property in a courtyard, stunning location next to the monastery, which is worth touring too.
The hotel rooms were excellent t with enormous and ornate bathrooms.
Very comfortable and worth staying at this location.
.
Due to new building works in the area the access to the car parking was hard to find, but this a minor point
4.0
Beautiful historic building, large room, nice bed
Drain in bathroom clogged, strange noises from the bathroom drains, unhelpful staff, impossible to find the hotel when arriving by car, hotel was locked when we arrived, poor breakfast, noisy air conditioning

liked the history of the building, paintings on the walls, the quiet village location
there was a bad sewer smell in the bathroom. it was also quite cold in the breakfast room.

its nice to be in historic surroundings and in an interesting room. Staff were very helpful. we would never have found the spanish cafe on the edge of the village which would take dogs. Dogs of course were welcome but were also charged for. it was the correct thing to have breakfast which was good
the rooms had been constructed out of the ancient building I guess in the 70s. The bathroom had an ancient jacuzzi which contained the shower - difficult to get in and out of and I would imagine freezing in winter. there were two tiny windows at floor level which opened and two roof lights which appeared not to. no ventilation in bathrooms. The biggest problem was location. there were road works and physically driving to outside the building was a problem (resolved by phoning the hotel to get instructions) . this ought to be a short term problem. there is no bar in the building so not possible to meet the other guests. There is nothing of interest in the village. Trying to find something to eat on a holiday monday evening in the village proved impossible and we had to drive through two villages to find a tapas bar for some food. They dont allow you to leave unattended dogs in the room, nor take dogs to breakfast (which is fair enough), but the dog had to be tied outside while we had breakfast

nice old building, garden
during the village festival (end of August) THE WHOLE NIGHT there was VERY LOUD MUSIC, it was impossible to sleep since it took place on the square right in front of the rooms

history of building is special.
the room we had was without windows

Absolutely stunning interiors, beautifully renovated room in old style with an enormous bed, bathroom with jacuzzi. The way all the old parts were preserved but still made into a super comfortable hotel room was admirable. The little town is also charming with nice green areas and a nice Plaza and very close to Haro.
The hotel allows you to bring your dog but NOT to leave it in your room to go out and have dinner or breakfast unless you keep it in a cage! They suggested to leave it in the car(!) which in a warm country like Spain easily can become a death sentence for your dog.
