we enjoyed the generous space and the quietness environment, but beds are not comfortable (too soft for us), and the cleaness around the property can be improved, especially the rumpus downstairs!

Nice and quiet
Nice large property, quite area. Beds were very comfortable. Although there was an unusual smell when you walked in - upstairs wasnt as bad. Was disappointed at the cleanliness especially the mould on bathroom ceiling.

Takaka home
Great location home was good
and large with plenty of room so that you didn’t trip over everyone.
A couple of things that should be done firstly the oven was filthy one door didn’t shut lights not working and the jets need
clean.
The other thing is there is no handrail on the steep stairs
My wife had difficulties using them.

Worst experience
When we entered the property, it had a really disgusting smell (like that of a dead animal). We moved in and found an empty bottle of beer and dirty socks under the bed. The instructions on where to find the key - was wrong, we spent 30 mins trying to find the key which was not where they said it will be. The property manager charged us an additional cleaning fee despite us leaving the house clean and exactly as we got it. The downstairs room is a garage converted into a room that feels damp. The property is old and is not value for money and the property managers are the worst I have experienced so far. They even charged us for using bed sheets/ towels. I do not recommend this bach, There are better places around with better people managing the houses.

Great Place to Stay
Great Place to Stay. Easy access to the amazing Golden Bay. Comes with a very friendly cat. Accomodation comes with everything anyone could want and plenty of space. Walking distance to Takaka township if one wants to socialise and not worry about having to drive at the end of the night. Would highly reccomend to any visitors to the greater Golden Bay area.

The house is lovely with a beautiful wrap-around deck with outdoor seating. The shared spaces were great for relaxing and accommodated our large group of 9 people. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to others. Bill Bill was great.
The house was mostly tidy, but the bathroom spaces and walls could use a clean. We also found the beds very uncomfortable. I ended up sleeping on my own blow-up mattress. Would suggest replacing some of the mattresses and/or their bases!

This is a sizable property with capacity to accommodate large groups.
This is a sizable property with capacity to accommodate large groups. The living area, balcony and gardens are well kept and spacious but we felt the bedrooms were a little tired and could do with some TLC as could the downstairs bathroom. Amazing views from the balcony and well placed hammock. Would also be good to know in advance that their is a resident cat that requires feeding and likes to be indoors incase of any allergies.
