Everything we hoped for

The room was very clean and comfortable. We did not eat dinner in the restaurant, but thoroughly enjoyed breakfast, which was tasty and cooked to order. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be returning and can not praise highly enough. The location is excellent in its proximity to Eastbourne, South Downs, High Weald, and National Trust places to visit, which was important to us.

Relaxing, quiet and comfortable, just what we needed.

Very clean, comfortable room and facilities. We had an excellent evening meal and cooked breakfast. The owners were welcoming and very helpful. We would definitely book again.

If you stick to the owners regime you'll be fine

I was staying here with a group from The Netherlands and the location was a stones throw from the South of Englands hedgelaying competition. The food was home made and fantastic.

The owners were very direct with their requirements which left little room for flexibility although between us we all managed to work things out. The mattress on our bed was very soft and my partner and I rolled together making sleeping difficult. The bathroom and in particular the shower cubical were really a bit too small for manoeuvre.

Very nice stay in comfortable and friendly surroundings. Just what we needed.

Room. Was perfect, small but had all we needed. Ownerr upgraded us to a bath rather than shower after long day walking. Food was fabulous 👌 can't fault it at all. Owners very friendly and helpful

Lovely place, lovely hosts

It’s a lovely characterful house with the gorgeous beams that run through the ceilings. On our stay we were greeted by the owner who was very lovely and had been in our previous correspondence due to the fact we needed to check in early as we were going to a wedding. She couldn’t have been anymore accommodating and made us feel so welcome. Would highly recommend
