Lovely villa in Cannes
What a very well appointed and positioned villa in Cannes.
We were two families sharing the villa. Alll the rooms were spacious with their own bathroom.
The lovely sandy beach was a mere five minute walk away. The villa was approximately 20 minutes from the old town. -an easy walk.
We had an excellent stay.

Perfect holiday location
Our stay in La Croix des Gardes was everything we had hoped for. The house is chic but cosy; the living area large and well furnished and the bedrooms and bathrooms very well-kept. Its location is perfect. Marie Noelle was very helpful and courteous. All in all we had a lovely experience here.

Great house, wonderful location- We look forward to coming back!
We spent 10 days at this house with our extended family (kids and grandparents) and had a wonderful time. This is a great place for families or groups looking to visit Cannes. This house is perfectly located by the public beach, and is a short walk from Le Suquet, the Marché Forville, the Palais des Festivals and La Croisette, as well as public transportation, the train station and boats out to the islands for those interested in venturing further afield. A couple of top-notch bakeries are close by for those like us who like to wake up and buy fresh bread or croissants for breakfast. The house is spacious and beautifully decorated- two bedrooms are equipped with large double beds and ensuite baths, and two additional bedrooms are each furnished with two beds and bathrooms just outside the door. The owner has equipped the baths with luxurious soap and towels. In addition to the comfortable living room, featuring a decorative fireplace, luxurious sofa and arm chairs, there are also three wonderful sitting areas outside (a roof terrace and two separate patio areas on the ground floor), as well as an outdoor hot-tub. If you need a little break from sun and exploring everything Cannes has to offer there is a great selection of English-language television channels, a book shelf with numerous English-language titles, as well as an amazing selection of thousands of free movies available on the television. The caretakers David and Marie Noelle are lovely, and were available to answer our questions throughout our stay. We also greatly appreciated being picked up at the airport and being driven back on the day of our departure. We're so glad we found this location and can't wait to return soon- Merci!

Highly Recommended Villa
I stayed at Villa Picaud with my husband and teenagers for a week’s holiday to get a bit of sun and relaxation and I couldn’t have picked a better place. The house is very spacious and tastefully decorated, but is also cosy and feels like a home from home. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a good supermarket nearby which makes family entertaining at home easy, and with the indoor dining area and 2 outdoor eating/relaxation areas you are spoilt for choice. The outdoor hot-tub is a real bonus and we certainly made good use of it. There is also a good coffee shop across the road if you want a change from the Nespresso machine at home. We made great use of the beach which is only a few minutes away and there is a lovely walk along the seafront to reach the town for shopping, sightseeing or dining with a convenient short bus journey home if you are too tired to walk. The only problem was that the week went by too quickly, so we will have to book for longer next time!

SPACIOUS, COMFORTABLE AND PRETTY VILLA
I spent ten days in the lovely Villa Picaud close to the centre of Cannes in April and it was a perfect place to stay as it was an easy walk into town and a stone's throw from a beautiful beach. The house is bright, pretty, clean and beautifully furnished and there are lots of books to read, art on the walls, and a well equipped kitchen with an Nespresso machine for coffee fans.
One of the best things about the house is that there are several outdoor areas so you can always find a spot to relax and read a book even if the house is full of people. There are shady spots and sunny spots so you can dine in the shade or underneath a parasol in the sun. And you can enjoy a sundowner while relaxing in the hot tub on the back patio.
I really slept well in the comfy bed in the Master Bedroom with its luxurious, soft, white bed-linen. This room is right beside the front patio so perfect for early morning cups of coffee before breakfast. It is on the ground floor and would be perfect for elderly guests and it also has a large ensuite bathroom. It is beside the extremely spacious living/dining room where you can relax on the super comfortable large couches to read, have a nap or watch TV.
While the house is perfect for a large family, I thought it would also be great for two couples with two children each or a group of adults. The upstairs twin rooms are very pretty with lovely furniture as is the other double which is also upstairs. One of the twin rooms has access to a small roof terrace which is the house sun-trap complete with comfortable sun-loungers and table and chairs. Perfect for sun worshippers and also the teenagers!
I stayed in the house for over ten days and found it to be such a relaxing place to stay - it was a pleasant stroll into the centre of town - about a fifteen minute walk - and you could take the bus back if you wished but I loved the walk along the seafront. The nearest grocery store is less than a ten minute walk on the back road to town - and if your load is heavy this is the road where you can catch the bus in and out of town.
There is plenty to see and do in Cannes - the daily food market and the surrounding bars and cafes are just the place to have a glass of wine and watch the world go by while down on the seafront you will find the best places to share a plate of delicious oysters and chilled white wine for lunch. Also a day trip to the Ile St. Marguerite - a 15 min boat trip away - is highly recommended!

Fantastic location; spacious and inviting.
I planned a long weekend in Cannes with friends. I wanted
to go shopping, take in the sights and be close to the action. Booked Villa Picaud and was picked up at the airport for the short drive to our destination which was a great added service. The house was lovely; well fitted out, spacious and inviting. It had a good balance of indoor and outdoor living space and there even was a jacuzzi! I couldn't believe
how close the house was to the beach. We were also in walking distance to the most popular restaurants and shops in Cannes. I plan to rebook again – although this time it will be strictly business and the house is perfect for my needs.

Excellent Plus!
We recently spent a multi-week vacation at the lovely Villa Picaud in Cannes. The home is stunning. It’s very large, comfortable, beautifully furnished, and ideally located. There are 3 terraces to enjoy the peaceful outside green surroundings. It comes with private garage parking, which is unusual to find in a popular place like Cannes. The home is wonderfully maintained and should even a small issue arise, the caretakers respond immediately. Villa Picaud shows pride of ownership. Mairead keeps it in top shape so that her vacation guests can enjoy a care-free interlude. We loved the half block walk to the golden sandy beach and the short walk into centre ville. We highly recommend Villa Picaud to anyone who is planning a vacation in Cannes. If you have a large family/group, this is one of the few rentals that can accommodate you in style. Merci, Mairead, for sharing this jewel.

Another wonderful stay at Villa Picaud
This was our Fourth year at the villa and once again it did not disappoint. The location is superb and the all one could ask for is provided right down to the personal services offered by the caretakers. A friendly face at the airport after a long trip is priceless. The property is very well kept. The owner renovates one area each year which is a testament to the overall management of this property. We love the villa and will continue to return. Many Thanks, Mairead, David and Marie Noelle for another great year!!

Lovely house for our big family
Our big family stayed at Villa Picaud for one week in the beginning of July, and it was the perfect start to the holidays. We were all very satisfied with the house, the location and the service we got. As we were a group of very different needs, including my grand mother of 88 years, and my nephew who is 2, it was easy to organise the day when the house was so near both the beach and the city center. And with all the space in the house we didn't have to sit together at all times. Except for a few missing light bulbs, we didn't lack anything in the house. So thank you very much :) Kristin Granbo

Well equipped villa close to the beach.
Villa Picaud is nicely located close (100 meters) from the beach. It easily can sleep eight people without any feeling of crowdedness and has three newly renovated bathrooms. You can alternate between the two patios depending if you want sun or shadow. The house is very well equipped with beach chairs, parasol umbrellas and floating toys as well as a kitchen with household utensils of most kinds. The livingroom is generously furnished and a large television set offer all the channels you will ever need. This was our second time in the house and we will gladly recommend it to friends and relatives. Services provided are excellent like airport pick-up or grocery shopping at a nearby supermarket so you don't need to rent a car.

Wonderful Villa!
We have been coming to the South of France for twenty years to attend the Cannes Film Festival and have stayed in all type of rentals, in all areas of Cannes and have found "Villa Picaud" to be the favorite for many reasons. The location is very private, yet minutes away from the town-centre, area restaurants, grocery stores, the Palais, the beach etc. The Villa is well equipped on all levels. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable which allows privacy when needed. The common areas are large enough to accommodate our colleagues for dinners in the courtyard or family visiting from the U.S., we never feel short on space. We do quite a bit of cooking, the kitchen yet small is well laid out and easy to work in. Forville Marche, the local open air market has absolutely everything you could want from fresh flowers, cheeses, local produce, fresh fish, meats etc. minutes away via the bus or walking. David and Marie Noelle are the Villa caretakers that have made our stay easier each year. Being pick-up at the airport after a long flight by a familiar face is a great welcome to Cannes. We highly recommend the villa to anyone heading off to the South of France for work or vacation. We will be back for the fourth year in a row, 2014.

Villa Picaud Easter 2013
My family and I enjoyed a memorable visit to Cannes at Easter. Your villa played a huge part in our experience. It was such a home from home with all the comforts that entails.
The location is ideal, close to the beach and the buzz of Cannes.

Villa Picaud Easter 2013
Ideal location. Only a few minutes to the beach and a lovely walk along the coast to Cannes centre (there is also a regular bus service with the bus stop just 2 mins away). The Villa is very spacious, private and comfortable and we had a lovely welcome from the caretakers, Marie-Noelle and David.

Villa Picaud July 2012
The description of the house at this web-site is very accurate. The house is so inviting and perfectly located. And so fully equipped! Sun chairs to take to the beach, and towels, are included. The walk takes less than five minutes. For our family of five it is also perfect that you don't need a car. Our youngsters can easliy walk to the centre in 15-20 minutes for some party and we parents can have a nice stroll to the market to buy fresh berries, fruits and vegetables.
I also want to mention that the welcoming, good advise and service we received from the caretaking couple was perfect. We are looking forward to going back!

A perfect villa - A+
We return every year - totally happy with this charming and bright villa that is so close to the beach. The pictures show it very well. The owners care and the couple who help with the house are wonderful - have them pick you up at the airport - it makes the trip that much better.

Fabulous holiday
Spent a lovely week at this villa and loved it. It had been recommended by a friend who comes every year. Villa was really comfortable and everything was done to make us feel welcome. Great beds and we slept so well. Good tv system with lots of english channels. Enjoyed the hot tub. Great access to town. Beach minutes away. Good bus system and we used it every day coming back from the market. Felt that we were staying in our own home. Very well looked after by the property managers. Picked up at the airport and brought to the villa. Brought shopping and dropped off at restaurant at very reasonable rates. We will definitely be back and have booked another week in the summer already.

Villa Picaud, A Dream Vacation
Our stay at Villa Picaud was everything we could have hoped for. We absolutely love the Cote d'Azur. This location couldn't be better for exploring the Coast and also for trips to Provence, the mountains, the perched villages, the Gorges of Verdonne, Monacco, Cannes itself -- the list is endless. A highlight is always returning to Villa Picaud. It is beautifully furnished, yet comfortable. There are original professional oil paintings on the walls by the owner which capture the essence and beauty of the area. The layout of the home allows for privacy for large or small groups of guests. There are two patios and a balcony deck for outside enjoyment. Plus a 50 meter or so walk to one of Cannes nicest beaches. It is also a short walk to the Vieux Port and most of Cannes attractions. There is wireless internet to keep one connected to home and the world (should one wish). Having a well planned and well stocked kitchen was a definite plus. The property caretakers, David and Marie Noelle, were very helpful and always available for any questions we had -- they also helped us out immediately when we found we had locked ourselves out of the house! We are trying to think of an improvement to offer, but come up short, as everything was just right. It was such a lovely vacation in a home that felt like home! We would recommend Villa Picaud to anyone who is visiting this enchanting area of France.
