Close by the other hotels and night life
More private and calm than the other hostels

Spectacular location with a beautiful beachfront. The staff were incredibly helpful. The rooms are solar powered, so the place is also environmentally friendly. Guests have access to the restaurant and facilities of the hostel next door, which were perfect.
Be aware that the sea can be quite rough, so not always possible to bathe.
5.0
Right by the beach and very friendly staff. Has mosquito nets.
Very basic huts. Hard an uncomfortable beds. Very hot and only has fans available which switch off by themselves during the night as they’re solar powered. No pool available but can use the one next door.

Brilliant location just off a nice beach. No real facilities itself, but you can use the pool at the hostel next door, which also has a restaurant and pool table etc.
Staff were friendly and helpful, organising moto taxis and some laundry for us.
Room was very clean and pretty comfortable, and the standing fan was powerful.
The lock on the door didn’t feel particularly secure, but we had no issues and the area felt safe.
There’s no Wi-Fi in the rooms - you have to go to the hostel next door.

Good location, very close to the sea, beautiful and cozy place, far from road noise. Crazy beautiful sunsets!!
The tents always have electricity and you could turn on the fan. There are nice restaurants nearby.
The host is very friendly! He told us about the local flora and fauna :)
If you take a walk early in the morning, you can find different monkeys, squirrels, and beautiful butterflies. If you're lucky, you might see a crocodile.
Very fast internet when the weather is good!
Regarding the hotel:
- The tents don't have air conditioning, and on sunny days, it's unbearably hot.
- The internet is very good, but it only works when there are no clouds (it's Starlink). Although this was more of a plus for us to disconnect from the world.
- The water flows yellow and has a strong chlorine smell in the mornings. It's definitely not good for brushing teeth.
Overall about the area:
- Midges!!! Make sure to bring repellent with you. There are a lot of midges outside (near the tents, by the sea, in restaurants — everywhere!) And they bite very painfully. They almost ate us alive, despite using repellents.
- The sea. Unfortunately, we were unlucky because when we arrived, the sea was stormy and dirty. It had good waves for surfing, but it was really unpleasant to be in the water due to the abundance of debris, seaweed, sand, and driftwood. Swimming was almost impossible—there was a steep slope towards the water, making it very scary to enter the waves.
- Music. And one more downside that unfortunately can't be influenced—the neighboring hostel, which plays music near the pool during the day and in the bar in the evenings. If the music were pleasant and relaxing, but no—it's techno, beats, and so on.

We absolutely loved this place. The tents were super clean and comfy and the sea was right next to us. The manager was always kind and gave great recommendations.
The strong smell of chlorine when you shower which we didn't care at all.

Tyrona Tent Lodge is a beautiful setting right on the beach with access to numerous resors and hostels & their services within a quick walk (5 mins or less). They have basic accomodations, like most resorts in the area (no hot water or AC) but the simplicity brings solace and relaxation. Note that there is no pool and the beach is sometimes unswimable due to currents, but for us, there was still plenty to do- volleyball, ping pong next door, yoga classes, ridiculously inexpensive massages next door etc. etc.. My only wish is that we'd stayed here longer.
There was construction noise from the resort next door that wasn't a show stopper, but it was loud.

location by the ocean and park
it was extremely simple, did not have hot water, pillows were out of plastic with a pillow cover, no hocks… pictures were not what we got. huts did not look out in the ocean.

property was in a very good location far from the noise but still close enough to restaurants and other hostels

Beach, nearby Los Hermanos hostel with its bar
No facilities on the beach. The place should invest it buying a bunch of sunbeds and tents for its guests to use. But unfortunately all what was there is sand. So I had to use chairs of the nearby "Los Hermanos" hostel. So, it is not really a big deal. But I wonder why a hostel can have beach facilities but a more expensive "lodge" cannot.
Also, the cabins don't have an AC and given that they are more of a container type with thin walls, they get ridiculously hot under the sun, like a greehouse. Not a big deal too as the sea is literally 1 minute walk. But for me, growking up in a colder climate, it was hard to fall asleep due to hot air in the cabin.

Beautiful place
It is not about hotel but the bar and restaurant next to it (that is the closest place to eat) is awful.

we stayed in the first cabin, just next to the beach so it was amazing how close to the sea we were!
the beach was very empty and sea water was just perfect for the hot days
arranged nicely, beautiful palm trees around the tents
clean room and bathroom
nice staff, helped us organize a taxi
very good and quite cheap meals in the hostel next door
at night it was quite noisy because of the hostel next door
no wifi
spotty signal
very little privacy, the tents are very close to each other

Great location, right on the beach. It is very calm. They don't offer any breakfast, lunch or dinner, but you can get all of those in the hotel next door, just a few steps away on the beach.
