Location, laid back atmosphere, restaurant food excellent, our host (Juan) was exceptional. He can cater for groups in the 5 rooms available. Liked the music room (must remember this for next time). Huge car park considering the location.
Nothing to do with the hotel, but the whole of Betancuria closed down around 6:30 pm. Nowhere for dining until 12:00. am. If breakfast is an issue, you would have to provide this yourself.

Great location in a beautiful historic village in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. would highly recommend as an antidote to the excesses of the coast.
No breakfast was available as the cook was sick, which wouldn't have been a problem as we would have bought supplies - however there is no shop in the village and although there are some very nice cafes and restaurants they dont open until 11 am for day trippers by which time we were getting a bit hangry, but soon banished with a good coffee and sandwich from nearby Casa Santa Maria

Lovely old historic building with lots of character. Bed was really comfortable. Private parking at the back of the hotel which was great as it can be really difficult to park in Bentancuria.
The shower wasn't very hot. This is not a criticism of the hotel but something to be aware of if you are visiting Bentancuria in winter - when we visited in December there were no restaurants or bars open in the evening.

I like the historic feeling and style of the whole building.
A good restaurant in the evening.
Good shower.
There was no possibility to eat breakfast, and still about 9:45 no other restaurants or bars had opened. There was no possibility to make our own coffee/tea. We had to leave - hiking - without eating at all. That should have been communicated better!
Many reviews mention the good breakfast, so we felt sure about that issue, otherwise we would have had a little supply with us, of course.

Lovely location, old house with lots of character - very quiet (only 5 rooms), and the patios are gorgeous.
The room was okay, with a single bed on the main floor, and a double bed on the mezzanine.
As mentioned in a few reviews, the lovely owners are not on site most of the time, so you may have to figure things out yourself, for example; on our first morning, other guests explained to us that we could use the kitchen´s teapot to make our own coffee (we supplied our own coffee and water).
The room was nice, but worth noting that as two tall people, we both bumped our heads in the staircase leading to the mezzanine - not a big deal, we´re both clumsy. There was also almost no natural light (only one very small window opening on the patio).
There were quite a few "air fresheners" in the room, to which I had an allergic reaction, so we looked for them and kept them out of the room.
We didn´t get a chance to try the restaurant as they were only serving food from 6pm to 8pm, and we were still out and about at that time.
We struggled to find the place with the GPS due to streets being closed to cars (this may be more of a google issue that the hotel can´t resolve, but worth noting) - there is a parking next to the hotel, which is super useful once you know it.

the wonderful old house, the historical surroundings, the tasteful "carne de cabra"

Nice breakfast, quirky little honesty bar.
Shower ran cold after few minutes

Juan and his wife are the kindest and most caring hosts. staying at the oldest casa rural in fuerteventura was the greatest experience i had, i can highly recommend. the whole property is a gen. the more than spacious room and bathroom are authentically furnished without those maritime deco objects you usually find in accomodations in the islands. the bed is a dream and very comfy. the dinner they prepare by themselves was so delicious. i can highly recommend the cabra stew that would be simmering for the whole day in the old kitchen. i will defo be back on my next trip to the island.

Fantastic location in historical property. Owners extremely welcoming and attentive. Great French home cooking. You won’t find any where more interesting on the island to stay .

Super location to relax.

Wonderful location in old village centre. Host friendly and welcoming. Nice supper provided after late flight.
Everything covered in dust, but that's the nature of Fuerteventura in a dust storm. Then we had a thunderstorm - first in 3 years!

We loved the historic centre, the old quaint accommodation which has been in the family for generations, and the room, which were all great. Very friendly owners and as there isn't anywhere local to eat in the evening they offered evening meal to their residents. The room and bed were comfortable and we slept so well as it was so peaceful. We liked the honesty bar and the generous liquor after dinner. Overall a lovely experience.
We would have preferred more choice at breakfast as it was the same every day.

Very warm and friendly welcome and nice chit-chats during the day.
Old farm house with a charming flair.
Village is overrun by tourist during the day, but in late evening one can enjoy the historical village.
Trusted the guest to help oneself to drinks (e.g. draft your beer on your own and note it on a block).
Host drove me to the next village since there was no bus connection.

Quirky and different in a beautiful little town
Very quite and peaceful and wonderful hosts. Very easy going with an honesty bar and tea and coffee whenever you want

This hotel is possibly the weirdest place we have been to, so if you like unusual and character, and are a bit of a free spirit, this is the place for you! It's a largish 15th century building with many spaces and terraces located in a 15th century town. There's a music room full of ancient and sometimes falling apart instruments. The town is beautiful, although if you don't have a car and want to buy any sort of provisions (even a loaf of bread or bottle of milk) the nearest place is about half an hour taxi ride away. There are, however, eateries in the town.
The owner Juan, along with his French wife Leyla are a delightful couple, who suddenly disappeared for a couple of days during our stay, much to the dismay of a couple who arrived on Saturday and left on Monday without ever seeing their hosts! The place was pretty empty because of the pandemic.
Our room was rather dark and we couldn't even shut the door, let alone lock it! But this was all part of the rather surreal experience of staying here, so it is not a big criticism. Also, we didn't know we had to book breakfast for the next day so went without on our first morning there, with our hosts nowhere to be seen..

Perfect spot in lovely old town. Friendly people, relaxed vibe.
We like to hike early, but the owner needs his beauty sleep, so breakfast starts relatively late at 8:30 ;)
