Location is amazing, we had the Madagascar room which come with and amazing view over the main square and church. Loved also the breakfast, having local specialities daily. The staf was also helpful, pointing out right from the beginning the safety issues of Salvador in general. Good to know that you need to raise your awareness in the area and keep your phone safe. Don’t miss the roof terrace, great view!
The only downside was a strong engine noise coming from under the roof in the Madagascar room, probably from the AC engine or heating pump. Luckily we had some earplugs, otherwise would have been a drama.

Heritage hotel situated in a building that was completed in 1645. Great colonial style rooms with antique furniture and settings. Good helpful staff
Once you step out of the hotel during late night hours( Pelourinho area- historic center) not the safest, and you have to take care of your surroundings and yourself
No room service for food or coffee after certain timings and hours

Beautifully restored old building with very gracious (large) bedrooms and salons.
Nothing at all.

Amazing location, very friendly and helpful staff. Property was gorgeous. Room was super cool and breakfast delicious.
The only thing I didn’t like was the fact I stayed 1 night. I wish I had stayed longer :)

wonderfully charming in its decoration in keeping with its 15th century origin. wondering Art Deco comforts. the staff were exceptional & couldn’t do more to help, especially those at breakfast who soon learned what we needed & liked. the staff were so warming & loving to our 6 month old baby & went out of their way to make us happy
needed an on site restaurant in the evening. a kettle in the room also for making hot drinks.

The staff were extremely helpful and nice. Even after we checked out they let us leave our suitcases there for days. Excellent location right on the square in the Pelourinho. Lovely architecture and decor throughout the hotel. Very luxurious. The breakfast is great too.

Room large size and colonial style decoration. Comfortable bed. Large and powerful shower. Excellent breakfast thanks to Maria and Eduardo who served with a nice smile every morning. Location was perfect in Pelourinho but quiet at night. Perfect sound insulation from other rooms. All the staff was extremely friendly and professional.

*Large bathroom with fresh towels daily.
*Everything was exceptionally clean.
*Air con was quiet and effective.
*Reasonably priced minibar.
*Comfortable bed with quality bedding.
*Friendly staff who spoke good English (amongst other languages).
*Breakfast was simple, but well executed and served in the lovely courtyard.
*Central location right in the heart of the old town. We felt safe enough as long as you use common sense.
