My ninth annual visit in advance of a climbing trip to Chamonix. Nice hotel with pool and wonderful staff. The half board summer prices are amazingly good value - a fraction of the winter prices. Despite this the service and facilities are unaffected with the possible exception of the restaurant service - see below.
I have mixed feelings about the Chanterelles restaurant, which sometimes doesn’t really feel like it belongs in a four-star hotel. There is nothing wrong with the food but for a four-star hotel it feels too much like a factory. The restaurant seats well over 100 people but the set menu has only two starters and two main courses plus buffet-service cheese and desserts. All are served like clockwork. The starters are OK, sometimes more than that. The main courses are at times good but sometimes insultingly tiny. The cheese board is excellent; the desserts rather routine. And I suspect the hotel makes a lot of its money out of the fact that most people don’t really want all four courses night after night. The wine list is good. Breakfast is fine. This is a very good place for families on a budget but if you want a “gastronomic experience” I would go elsewhere. I for one would gladly pay more for more interesting food.

The area is nice. Restaurant is fair.
Very old. Very inefficient. It took us 90 minutes to complete check in and park the car in a far away parking lot. The gluten free breakfast was insulating

Ski in ski out hotel, they gave me a room with nice view towards the mountain. restaurant les etincelles was the best with different menu everyday and the staff was very well trained. hot pool is amazing. each room comes with its own ski boots and ski lockers which are heated.
one day we tried restaurant chaumieres downstairs. service was horrible here unfortunately, we where two hours seated just to eat a raclette ( which needs no cooking) and ordered dessert and was never served the dessert we just left. they never apologised for this in fact my colleague got called back to pay orangina we ordered. we did a complaint in the reception but this was not directed. it’s a shame

We enjoyed staying at Village Montana for many reasons. The restaurant Les Etincelles serves an exceptionally tasty evening menu. We were surprised the quality was so good for such a busy hotel. La Chaumiere was also excellent. There is plenty of staff at all times to help and serve so the service is quick and prompt. We arrived quite late the first night so the hotel kindly organised a late night snack for our family, parking onsite, ski rentals, bunk beds for kids and nothing is too much trouble. Would definitely recommend and return!
nothing.

Some waiters in the restaurant stink! 🤕 That occurred literarily every morning and every evening.

Fantastic slope side location for ski in ski out in the middle of the resort.
Brilliant breakfast buffet.
Excellent evening meal with superb dessert buffet and outstanding cheese table.
Not sure how to solve but the pool tables were regularly not in use because the balls had been stolen.
There appears to be a charge for the swimming pool now so we didn't use it.

Friendly and polite staff, superb breakfast, very clean rooms and common places, location to the lifts, view from the rooms. Dinner was also better than expected.
As a couple who likes to spend time in the Spa, we think it’s not clean enough and doesn’t have enough capacity. Outdoor pool is nice.

Food was epic, beyond our expectations and of a very high standard. Cheese board each night was easily the best for selection I've ever had (20+ cheeses). We swapped for the 2nd onsite restaurant for traditional raclette and this was a really nice bonus to be included in half board. Breakfast all good too. Overall, would recommend half board. Room nicely furnished, spa a really nice touch and thoroughly enjoyed a soak in the heated outdoor pool after skiing. Staff all exceptionally friendly and willing to help/make your stay extra relaxing. Also nice to have the option to upgrade half board at the 5* hotel next door, which we did for a special occasion evening. You can ski in and ski out, and to walk back from Tignes Le Lac centre in ski boots is 5 mins walk on the snow so very doable. Boot room very well organised.
I would happily stay again, however given this is a 4 star hotel, and the price paid, I think there are some smaller touches which could be improved on. We had to ask for new shower gel/shampoo twice during our stay which I'd expect the housekeeping staff to replenish each day. There was a bit of random noise during the night around the hotel, it's not well sound proofed - but still slept fine after a day of skiing! The shower over bath was not a 4* hotel shower, would expect better here. The hotel bar is also priced similar to 5* hotels - I would hope the pricing there reflects the level of hotel (and would have stayed in for more drinks if the pricing was more competitive). On the first day, afternoon snacks were provided (similar to most ski hotels/chalets I've stayed in), but there wasn't anything after the first day which was a shame. All small things that didn't impact our stay, but I think I would expect for a 4* hotel.

Hotel is fabulous, excellent staff, very smiley and professional. The food in the restaurant is fantastic, and also options to eat in a different restaurant. Spa is lovely, heated pool very warm. Overall I think this hotel is excellent value for money given the level of the facilities
Could have been a bit warmer in the bar area, there is a fireplace in the centre, but only warm directly near it.

the property was in a great location in Tignes with good access to the lifts in the morning, so getting to ski school was easy. The staff were all friendly and attentive and the outdoor pool a treat.
it would have been nice to have afternoon tea each day or suitable snacks available to buy at the bar, as waiting till 7pm for the children to eat was hard work!

the location was perfect. staff were very friendly and helpful. excellent facilities. the spa treatments were great and the kids loved the swimming pool
we didn’t like the food. I don’t eat fish and I wasn’t offered an alternate. we were half board but because we didn’t like the food we spent most night walking to the village to book in to a restaurant
