Idyllic village house of modern construction using traditional Provencal architecture in select 'lotissement', overlooked by Les Alpilles, yet within walking distance of the centre of celebrated St Remy de Provence. Set in a private garden with its own swimming pool , terraces and garage, the air conditioned bastide comprises on the ground floor a large bright 'sejour' with vaulted ceiling for living and dining, bespoke fully equipped German kitchen, the master bedroom with en-suite shower room, and cloakroom. The feature ceramics and stone continue with a staircase to the first floor comprising two twin bedrooms, bathroom and wc. Wooden deck area to the rear overlooks the private wooded garden ground, a shady spot for outside dining. South facing, the 1/5 acre garden grounds have been professionally landscaped blending natural materials to maximise the enjoyment of outdoor living. The lotissement benefits from secure gated entrance for maximum privacy.

we already knew "Bastide des Oliviers" from a previous stay. You just feel comfortable and safe here. Our daily walk along the "canal des Alpine" into town was always very pleasant. Breakfast at "Paul's", lunch often at the "Bar Tabac" and then back home - simply wonderful. In the evening it was wonderfully quiet, you could only hear the frogs, but that didn't bother us in any way.

We had an incredible week at this property. The garden and pool were just what we needed. Clean house with all the basics to make your stay comfortable. It is within walking distance of the city center (about 15 min). St-Rémy is charming and full of restaurants, bars and cafés. Overall a great stay. The only comment I would have is that the pool needs some love. The lining needs to be replaced but I was informed that it will be this winter. In the meantime this won’t hinder your enjoyment of the pool though. A little note, for the washer to work you need to nudge or push in the door a little extra.

Perfect location for a relaxing holiday. Easy and pleasant walk in to town, and beautiful hikes and bike rides on the doorstep in the beautiful Les Alpilles. Such a bonus to be able to come back to relax by the lovely pool and have a BBQ in the evening taking advantage of all the amazing local produce. Miss it already!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette très belle maison, bien aménagée. Les chambres sont spacieuses et la cuisine bien équipée. Le tout est climatisé par un système qui ne fait aucun bruit et qui donne une température très confortable. A l’extérieur, les coins pour se prélasser au soleil ou à l’ombre des grands arbres ne manquent pas. Grand coup de cœur pour la terrasse avec vue qui donne un dégagement très appréciable. 7 jours dans cette maison, c’est beaucoup trop court!

Très bon séjour au milieu des cigales

Super vacances dans la maison de Peter qui est très agréable et lumineuse, et qui a beaucoup de charme. Les 2 terrasses devant la maison et à l'arrière sont un vrai avantage car on peut toujours être au soleil ou à l'ombre en fonction des envies. La piscine 8x4m est ensoleillée de 10h30 à 18h30 environ, donc on peut s'y baigner toute la journée. Merci à Péter pour ses réponses rapides lors de la location de la maison, et merci à Angeline sur place pour son accueil chaleureux et sa réactivité. Possibilité de partir en vélo pour des balades dans les Alpilles depuis la maison . La région est vraiment magnifique.

Saint Remy de Provence is a very lively town full of lovely restaurants, shops and bars. Provence is a a great part of France to explore especially Arles, Baix and Avignon. The market day on the Wednesday was well worth the visit and full of interesting stalls. The house is on a gated development so was quiet, private and very comfortable. The pool and garden were a little small for our growing teenagers but otherwise fine with pleasant shaded areas. The children were happy to have netflix! The walk to Remy was via a canal (bring mosquito spray) and took about 15-20mins as the main road does not have a pathway though it was still possible to walk along. Something to think about if you have smaller children. Driving in the centre can get very busy so we appreciated being able to walk in. Would recommend Carriers de Lumières on a hot day - book in advance to avoid queue. The owner was very pleasant to deal with and Angeline is on hand if any problems.

Another great holiday in Saint Remy

This was our third visit to Saint Remy but the first time to this particular house - and it didn’t disappoint! Spotlessly clean and comfortable with various areas to sit outside, always with one in the shade. Very important for us as the temperature was in the high 30s for much of the time! We much enjoyed the pool, and dinners on the terrace overlooking the canal. A lovely place to stay.

Just as wonderful the second time

Second time we stayed here and just as good as the first. Super quiet neighbourhood just 20 minutes on foot from the center of St. Rémy. Beautiful house with two terraces so that you can have breakfast and supper in the shade in front and lunch in the back with a great view. The house is cool, well appointed and extremely comfortable while the yard and pool are a quiet haven when you tire of exploring the region. Two bio grocery stores within a twenty minute drive and lots of great restaurants make for an expanding waistline but that’s what holidays are for. Highly recommend the maître fromager in St. Rémy if you wish to taste the local cheeses. If you have time I highly recommend you attend a Course Camarguaise as it is a spectacle like no other and one you won’t find outside of this region.

Lovely house, great location

This is a modern, spacious and exceptionally clean villa within easy walking distance of St Remy, which is a gorgeous town. The garden and pool are fabulous with a choice of sunny and shady areas in which to relax. Cannot fault communication with the owner and the agent, Angeline, on site was very helpful. Hopefully we will return again soon. A great base to explore the surrounding areas.

Maison calme et joliment décoré dans un lotissement haut de gamme et sécurisé. A quinze minutes à pied du centre de St Rémy mais assez loin qu’on pouvait se croire à la campagne avec le chant des cigales et une magnifique vu sur les toits du village. Maison idéal pour une famille ou pour plusieurs couples qui veulent profiter de la Provence ensemble. Bien équipé et confortable ceci est une vrai maison ou on peux vivre toute l’anne et pas une résidence secondaire destinée que à l’été.

We loved our stay. The house was really comfortable, well-equipped and clean. The outside areas were fantastic. The house was quite well situated in regard to St Remy. Angeline was welcoming and helpful. Had a great time.

Perfect location, beautifully furnished and equipped - 6 star really!

Exceptional and comfortable base from which to explore this incredible part of France, the historic centre of St Remy is an easy and flat walk, with more than 100 fantastic restaurants and bars we would have loved to be here much longer! We really enjoyed walking from the villa along the Van Gogh trail, to the roman village at Glanum - stunning place and so well preserved and presented. Just back from wonderful evening in Avignon, 20 minutes away, after a super meal we visited the 'Palais des Papes Light Show', it was superb. As was the towns of Nimes, Arles and Aix - we really enjoyed a trip to Cassis on the coast which is in easy reach. Most of all we loved the villa, and its very private garden with pool, great for relaxing over lunches with the best of local cheese, wine, and fruits and very long dinners under the trees on the rear decking - quite magical.

We had a fantastic stay, the house is beautifully decorated and has everything that you would want! It had 2 lovely outdoor seating areas, one gets the sun in the morning and the other in the afternoon which was great. On top of that another area for sun loungers to do a spot of sunbathing. It was a great location, just a short walk to Saint-Remy town centre, where there was a huge abundance of restaurants to choose from. We absolutely loved and stay here and would definitely come back!

Beautifully appointed, extremely comfortable and lovely private garden and pool - fantasic weather too. Lovely town centre, easily walkable from villa, with 120 restaurants and bars - it's superb place for a vacation. Many lovely historic towns, and lovely villages also easy to get to. Can't recommend highly enough!

Villa was excellent, close to the idyllic town of Saint-Remy-De Provence, although you definitely need a car. We had a small party of 2 adults and 1 child which meant that we had bags of room, but the villa could comfortably cater for 6 adults. The local hypermarket was superb, great BBQ and sea food with very drinkable wines at €3! We basically stayed at the Villa for the whole week. On the negative side, I'd say that the decking area needs some work as there were a few loose planks and the pool was over chlorinated. Owner very friendly when we got lost en-route to the villa which was good as the local lady was not so helpful. That said, we'd definitely go back, the weather was superb pretty much every day and my son learnt how to swim.

My family spent an idyllic holiday at this villa in 2009, we found the standard of furnishings and fittings to be of the highest quality. Most of our time was spent in the lovely garden and in the pool, it was all fantastic. St Remy is perhaps the most attractive of small towns in Provence, it was a reasonably flat walk to all of the splendid restaurants and attractions, the main thoroughfare is very fashionable, great for a coffee and people watching for an hour or so. The wider area is incredible, Arles, Avignon, Aix and Nimes are all easily reached as are beaches and the wonderfful Luberon region. Absolutely magic!
