The property is nice
We booked a room that supposedly had a closed bedroom with a fold our couch in the living room, but there was no door or distinction between the bedroom and the living room. We have kids and this was not what we planned. We had wanted a room to ourselves with the kids in the other room, and didn’t have that because instead of a separate room, the entire apartment basically had no walls. That’s not what we booked and that was disappointing

location right in the town centre.
having to enter by 'fire escape' staircase on the outside of the building. In the rain.

This hotel is a nice piece of history and the location is superb. It is right next to absolutely everything in Stralsund. We came by train and there was no problem being without a car.
If you dont like to be up at 7 every morning because of the load workers renovating the house on the opposite side of the street/alley ask for a room the has windows to the courtyard.
We had to be up early so they were like human alarm clocks. But if you are coming to relax and sleep in - apartment nr 3 is not your ideal option.

Large appartment with beautiful details.
Getting the keys from hotel next door was slow.

I liked the position in the middle of the town. In front there is a bakery and a couple of small ships where to have breakfast and something to eat for lunch.
We arrived and the shower was on the ground, unglued from the wall, not usable. We immediately addressed the topic to the personnel but it was repaired only the day after. So the first day we could not shower.
Then they asked for prepaid car park but it was not available and we asked the same day the money back for the service we did not use.
We received the money back only after one month!! after many emails and phone calls and discussions.
For me customer service was a real disaster.

- a good location
- stuff speaks fluent English
- a safe place for bikes
- the reception is placed in the hotel next door (the information about this is only in German)

the building is historical, very impressive architecture and high ceilings. the furniture I. the room was also modern but also included some traditional flair matching the history of the place. we appreciated that there was a kitchenette and a fridge.
it was not clean enough. in my son‘s bed we found big dust and dirt balls and pieces of food. under the beds in general dusty and dirty.
In the kitchen several items were not clean. unclean knives and spoons in the drawer and the plate for cutting bread was placed next to a trash can under the sink. when I took it out, the wooden plate was so dirty with crusty left overs (of god knows what), I had to put it back and never consider using it again.
for the price we paid, there was not enough items in the bath. just two almost empty bottles of liquid soap for the sink and the shower. no conditioner , no real shampoo.
when we entered the room there was also a note saying that we had to separate our trash (that’s fine) and we had to bring down the trash bags to the yard (!) , otherwise they would charge us 50€.
this apart hotel is next to another one and it uses thr reception if that one. the neighbour hotel had some kind of disco going on, we could not sleep until 2-3 am in the morning. we could hear the music and feel the vibrations

My apartment was big with huge wooden doors and wooden floors. You could sit outside on the terrace. Key is picked up at the hotel next door.
Possibly a few rugs on the wooden floors.

perfect location, very nice spacious room, only Wi-Fi connection could be better

We LOVED the location, it's in the best part of old Stralsund and is convenient for both town explorations as well as beach visiting. The building is gorgeous and the room is nice and big as well, with a quite good kitchen and an overall interior that blends the old elegant style with modern furniture really nicely. Also, just opposite the street, there is a bakery and cake shop with amazing breakfast!!
The staircase of the hotel got quite loud during the night with other guests arriving late, despite the big heavy doors, it was loud enough to wake us up once or twice. (+Though the kitchen amenities were good, it would have been a nice touch to get a bit of tea or coffee or bottled water included, just as a small token of welcome. But this is just a gentle suggestion)

Location was great and in a beautiful building
The toilette inside the room emitted light to the whole room when somedy goes in the toilette during night waking up the other persons.

exceptional apartments, really beautifully located in the center of Stralsund
The double bed were two single beds and did not fully stay together…

The location is very good. The night shift receptionist did his best to assist us when we arrived.
While I fully realise this is a no-frills accommodation, leaving a couple of single-serving Nescafé packages would have improved things a lot for us with little-to-no cost.
The morning shift receptionists were cranky and not very helpful during checkout. I felt very unwelcome.
Most of the facilities advertised such as concierge services may have been available via the reception (which is located in the hotel next door) but we felt it was not very approachable.

Excellent location, sea is nearby, Ozeaneum, market square and shops are 10mins walk by foot We enjoyed our stay.
I know this facility is pet friendly but sadly our feet were covered in previous resident's pet's hairs.

to make use of hotel facilities even though we were guests from the Aparthotel next door. electric charging facilities for our Tesla

In the heart of the Altstadt, the apartment was reasonably spacious and comfortable. Everything that should work did so. The weather was good whilst there so the space gets quite warm.
Not dislikes really:
On the fourth floor, in the attic space... a bit of a climb but I knew this in advance.
The kitchen area had no cloth, scourer or t-towel... I mentioned this to reception but nothing happened, so not ideal for dealing with dirty dishes. The shower gel container in the shower was also empty and not refilled. None of this is a disaster however, it is not a good reflection on the place.
