Clean and improved

I like that everything I wanted to use was actually working. New seats in reception was much needed 🙌. I also think the beds were new from the last time I stayed and good to see a new curtain in the room. And im not sure but I think the carpet in the room had been removed also much needed. All over very pleasant and good to see things are clean and tidy.

The first shower box on level 2 doesn't have hot water just cold that should be sorted. And this is a hard one because it's also good to see its clean- but the roof over the showers it's a mirror. I saw a guy standing there watching me shower when he saw me looking back he went that's something you seriously need sorted.

Provide heavy bed covers and heaters if possible.

Near to intercity bus. Easy to reach.

First night was too cold, the bed cover was too light. But we were soughted the second night. No heater in room. Also, the toilet sit cover was loose in one toilet and uncomfortable to use.

Could probably be less price wise but passable for a one night stay to get to the bus stop!

It was very close to the bus stop so very useful.

The room was very small, the walls where not properly sealed to the walls so you could hear everything that was going on. The bed had stained sheets.

La cocina sucia sin ventilación, no tiene utensilios, todo viejo y sucio, no tiene refrigeradoras para guardar las cosas, secan lo que lavan sobre toallas, los secadores de platos son también limpiadores de mesa. Terrible y antihigiénico. La sala con muebles viejos y sucios. Ah el wifi tiene que ser conectado cada rato

Not recommended

Just the staff they are very friendly but the whole staying experience is very bad.

Everything is dirty and the bed is stink .

The location

Reception was arrogant. The room was extremely basic and, it was dingy and dark, it felt grotty and there was no air in the room so it felt like you couldn’t breathe properly.

Awesome atmosphere

Everything works, but its old.

A lot of the facilities are very old, but its doing the job. Toilets could be cleaner.

All of the facilities are old. Chairs are not comfortable. Toilets are not always clean. Often soap is missing in the toilets.

It's a great hostel for a quick stay

Great staff as always, convenient location and great price

They had a sign in the bathrooms that it may take up to 5 mins to get hot water, it didn't come even after the 5 minutes. Not a huge deal for me, however it could be a deal breaker for others

Great location, great staff, great value for money.

Everything - staff are wonderful, friendly, and helpful. Location is great for food and venues as well as for getting to and from the airport. The room was as expected for what we paid for. Overall a really good place to stay for good value of money!

We didn't have a fan this time around which we definitely needed to cool down after our trek back to our room in the evening! But once we cooled down, the room was a good temperature.

I was happy I only had to stay for a night.

It is cheap and kinda well situated.

One of the worst Hostels I've ever been to. It is an old, run down place (kinda looks like someone started renovating a decade ago and just stopped halfway through) and seems like it hasn't been properly cleaned in a while... If you can find a different hostel, go there!

wouldnt stay again

central and cheapest i could find.

everything, unfortunately, the quality of the hostel is very low. Not clean, strange smells, everythings is old and worn out, very loud everywhere all around, you can hear everything out the windows and other hostel rooms. the beds are basic and you can feel every movement of the other person in a bunk. i didnt expect much as it was the cheapest stay, so you get what you pay for.

Omg! Talk about location location Carparking was perfect 30sec walk to Sky tower Countdown was 2mins away The city never sleeps , will always book here now for concerts etc Luxury is not everything, but this backpackers was well worth our monies

If you have no other options.... Stay here....

The location. And the 24 hour access.

I had little choice of where to stay given the last minute choice to visit Auckland on a busy weekend. This place seemed to be the least of the evils out there. It was cheap! But it was old, run down, and noisy. The bunk beds were flimsy so when the guy below me rolled over, the whole bed moved. There was no night light, so when I got back to the room I had to figure out where things were in the dark. I could hear Auckland partying, crying and drinking when I got to bed, so I ended up using earplugs. The showers were almost non-existent. They were but a dribble and took an age to warm up. They requested that showers be limited to 4 minute but took almost that long to warm up. The day we arrived, the dispenser in the bathroom for the handwash was on the floor, with it's contents dribbling all over floor. All in all, very much a low quality place. You get what you pay for.
