It doesn't get much closer to the ocean than this! Kahana Reef is just steps away from the water, with amazing views of the ocean and the islands of Molokai and Lanai. Whether you lay in a chair on the grassy front lawn, sit at the lanai, walk to the sandy beach next door, or take a dip in the pool, you can hear the peaceful sound of the ocean from everywhere on this property. It is a smaller complex with masonry construction, which adds to the peace and quiet of it all. It’s also centrally located between Kapalua and Kaanapali, for you to enjoy all that West Maui has to offer. It’s an amazing location for a relaxing getaway.
Guess how much we have changed our cleaning practices since Covid-19 came along? Not at all! That's because we have always taken the time to provide unequaled care with our housekeeping. We sanitize every light switch, every handle and every surface-every time. We even change the mattress pad and wash all our comforters and blankets with every guest; our cleaners say it's "unheard of".
Our property is Owner operated and maintained, which offers a level of care that you won’t get with a management company. We care that each of our guests feels at home while visiting Maui.
This is a spacious top floor, 611sf, one bedroom, one bathroom unit. The kitchen is fully equipped and has granite countertops and newer appliances. The bedroom has a king-sized bed, and there is a queen-sized pull-out sofa bed in the living room. With new finishes, new bedroom furniture, "Westin Heavenly" mattress and box spring, 70" television and much, much more, you'll get the most comfortable, oceanfront stay at an affordable price.
Kahana is centrally located minutes away from Kapalua, Napili, and Ka’anapali, where you can enjoy the best beaches, golf, and restaurants. There are also lots of restaurants within walking distance.
Free wifi, cable TV, parking, phone, gas bbq grills available on ground floor, laundry facility on-site. No air conditioning is provided in this complex.
Minimum 4-night rental. There is a $200.00 cleaning fee. Daily maid service is an additional charge. 17.42% State and County Taxes added to all rates, rates subject to change in accordance with State of Hawaii statutes.

This was exactly as shown. The lanai was great with the ocean view & sound of the waves. We discovered that near sunset the sea turtles come up to the seagrass covered rocks below the sea wall to feed. We also saw crabs & the last evening a group of dolphins was playing in the waves. The location is very nice with China Boat right across the street, Dollie’s & The Beach House in walking distance & the Sea House & it’s amazing happy hour just a short car ride away. Would love to stay again.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The view of the ocean is as pictured - we could see whales everyday right from the balcony. We had everything we needed. Just a note, there are no condiments other than salt and pepper, so if you plan on cooking a lot, you might want to pick some up. Kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. The condo was quiet so it was a great place to be at the end of a long day of sightseeing. Would definitely stay here again!

My wife and I have stayed in a least 50+ VRBOs all over the world. Bree and David’s condo was the best. First of all, they are kind and gracious hosts. They kept in contact with us for many months before our stay. When the fire destroyed parts of Maui they assured us that since we were coming in January that we would be fine. Their condo is decorated in a minimalist style, but there is nothing you need that is not there. My wife spent hours every day watching whales swim through the channel. The condo is extremely comfortable and cleaned in a superb manner. We were ready to write an excellent review the moment we walked through the door. It is furnished with a large, clear LG TV that has perfect reception. The furnishings are all comfortable, especially the king sized bed. Parking is easy and the laundry is right downstairs. We could not be any happier than we were to stay in this lovey condo. The views are absolutely stunning all day long. Thank you Bree and David for a remarkable stay

Located right on the water near beaches and local shops. LaHaina was off limits due to the terrible fire in August. There is a lot to see and do,renting a car is a must from the airport. There is no A/C in the unit,but the prevailing winds kept us comfortable. The tourism time is about to start,businesses are just getting opened back up after not having power and drinkable water in some areas. We were all supplied with all the utilities. Had a great week of relaxing,entertained by the sea turtles, dolphins, dugout canoes and surfers. Be sure to visit Slaughterhouse beach, great swimming,snorkeling,and watching sea life.

This condo was perfect for our stay. We loved the top floor with a birds eye view of Lanai, the sunsets and the turtles just below us. The condo had everything we needed such as beach chairs, a cooler, ice packs, etc. The bed was heavenly and sheets were extra soft. We meet great folks at the pool and around the grounds. Everyone was very friendly. This is our 3rd time staying at this condo complex but by far, this unit was the nicest and worth the top floor experience. We will be back!

I recommend staying here. Everything about this property is amazing. Clean, quiet, fantastic view and location. We saw turtles and whales right out in front. There was easy access to the beach beside it. Beautiful sunsets in the evening. Having no A/C wasn’t a issue. The breeze and the fans were enough to keep cool. We will definitely miss it.

The condo was very nice. We had a few things come up during our stay and they were all addressed and resolved promptly. One had to do with the code suddenly not working at the front door, which the owner fixed immediately by resending it. Another was that our parking pass for the complex blew out of the window of our car and the owner promptly delivered another one. We couldn't ask for better response whenever we had a question or needed to resolve an issue.

This was such a great property, it is far enough away that it is quiet but close enough to everything so you can do what you want. The whales were amazing!!! Sitting on the lanai and drinking coffee and watching whale spouts and breaches is amazing. Leaving the doors open gives you a perfect breeze through the condo. Hosts were very responsive to any needs.

Actually thinking about booking for next year already! The view from the balcony was super nice, we enjoyed relaxing out there and watching the whales 🐋 😀. The condo had everything we needed. I was very concerned about no A/C but sleeping was fine, there,was a nice breeze. My only suggestion would be to swap out the balcony furniture with more of a high top style, my short self had to use a pillow to comfortably see over the railing.😉

We loved our time here! The condo is perfect, the views are great, especially during whale season! No AC, which I feel is pretty standard for condos in Maui; but for the most part, the box fan and tower fans provided were sufficient in keeping us cool. David and Brigette were easy to communicate with, and very accommodating! Would definitely recommend their place if you’re in west Maui!

We were lucky enough to stay just over two weeks. Everything was great about the apartment, it was clean and tidy, bed was comfortable and the view was everything we hoped for. Whenever we reached out to the owners we got a swift response. Can totally recommend grabbing the beach chairs out the cupboard every morning and sitting under the tree on the little beach by the apartment. The most relaxing place to be! We did bring binoculars to get a better look at the whales and sea turtles passing by every day. And yes, we can also confirm that China Boat across the road was great. All in all a truly wonderful stay!

My husband and I stayed at Kahana Reef for one week during Christmas. It was a wonderful experience. The condo was nicely equipped and very clean. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai and watching the Humpback whales. One morning we saw two whales breaching completely synchronized three times in a row! The whale watching was so good that I even went and got binoculars to see them up close. Our last morning we were treated to a double rainbow over Molokai. We contacted David and Birgette just to let them know a few things and the response was almost immediate. I can highly recommend staying at the Kahana reef condo, you will enjoy every minute. Husband and I had a great little getaway at this cute condo. Perfect location to the beach, food, main hwy and the sound of the waves crashing was the cherry on top to ensure a good nights rest. definitely would love to stay here again. the property has a nice pool and chairs to relax and sunbathe or take a quick swim. couldn’t have asked for anything more

We were stunned by the view from the lanai! The water is so gorgeous, and we even could see humpback whales! The condo itself was spotless with everything we could need. The bed was really comfy. Parking was very easy. ~15 minutes from Front St. in Lahaina.
