A beautiful corner of paradise in Athani

The serenity boutique is located in one of the best villages on the island, Athani. whoever prefers quietness should go on this part of Lefkada. The structure is close to the most beautiful beaches such as Gialos and Porto Kazichi. The place enjoys a beautiful sunset and the owner, Tony, is extremely friendly and offered us a warm welcome.

The time-frame for breakfast is too short and stars only at 9.00 am. So if you want to go for an early morning excursion you cannot enjoy the breakfast. The room is made only every three days which was a surprise for us. Air conditioning in the room doesn't work properly and is noisy. Reading lights are poor.

This is simply a fantastic hidden place that you should experience. Probably the most amazing place for a romantic sunset. And the service from the staff/owner are flawless/top notch.

Not great - we would not recomend or return.

The location is beautiful - hidden above Athani on the west coast of Lefkada, near the most stunning beaches. The building itself is very interesting with an Art Deco style and styling which makes it very different from classic ‘hotel chic’. The structure of the room itself was great with an open shower room behind the bed area. The staff/owner was very polite and wanted to be very helpful.

The pool area is in a poor state of repair, with broken furniture and an old bar which was being used as a storage space. The hand rail/bar around the pool area over a drop was also broken. In the room the curtains were not attached, the bedding poor quality and the furniture and pictures on the walls mismatched. it had the feel of a student house rather than boutique hotel at £160.00 a night. The breakfast and bar were poor - packet croissants and ‘Greek’ beer from German supermarket chain. On the last night there was no water - with none in the reception area we were forced to call the hotel a couple of time before someone picked up - I have no idea where who - they did not appear to work at the hotel. They were able to fix the water but there was no explanation or apology.

a little hotel with a big heart

if your looking for new, pristine and a bit soulless this place isn’t for you, but if you want to stay somewhere a little quirky where the people are amazing, the view and the sunsets are to die for, welcoming, friendly, comfortable, huge rooms, clean, and most definitely boutique then you should give Serenity a go, the place has such a good feel to it, you can’t help but relax close to good beaches and restaurants ( you need a car ) possibly the best spot to watch the sun set on the island , drink in hand,leaning on the edge of the infinity pool Toni and Vares ( sorry about spelling sunshine) really do go the extra mile to make you feel at home kick back,relax, chill cannot say thank you enough for a superb start to our holiday

Best place to stay in Athani. The view is amazing, the rooms are very artistic decorated, big, cozy and the infinity pool is magnific. The breakfast is tasty and the people are really nice and helpful, offering you a map and info about Lefkada. There are near places where you can eat (you can also walk to them if you want to drink).

Recommended, very special place

View is amazing, not less. Sitting infront of the room, in the lobby or in the swimming pool and watch the sunset from that location is very special and really amazing. The owner is very nice and can help quite a lot with good tips. Nice breakfast in front of amazing view, very nice way to start the day.

Mattress on the floor - Mattress was OK but I think it is not for everyone. No reading light next to bed. Chairs in the room - looks like design was more important factor than comfort. Generally speaking, except around the swimming pool, chairs in the room or outside the room are not comfortable enough for a lengthy lazy sitting, for example for reading.

Disappointing: Middle-eastern (non-authentic Greek) experience. Overpriced for what it gives.

The air was super cool and refreshing as the property is high in the hills. View at the sea and sunset was also mesmerizing from the high above.

We have stayed at several other places at Lefkada, compared to them this place specifically does not have a good value to cost ratio in my opinion. For what we paid we simply expected a WAY better experience. More importantly, this stay was NOT an authentic Greek experience which we expected. This is because the property is middle-eastern owned with an oriental vibe which was simply not our cup of tea. The breakfast was very POOR (compared to other places we stayed in the area, also had nothing to do with Greek food), and they wanted to charge us additionally for the tea we had without advance warning which was a cold surprise at the checkout. The location is not that great, it is high up in the hills on a narrow bad road, there is no dedicated parking - it is on a narrow street outside. WiFi did not work at all the first day due to unpaid bill. The swimming pool looks nice in photos, but actually it is super cold to go in it. Overall for the very high price paid, disappointing experience. For the same amount of money we paid to stay 3 days here, we rented an entire house with a pool for 6 days in Agios Nikitas.
