Villa Arcangela A and B are two apartments that are part of a medieval building, that used to be an ancient Saracen watch tower. It is placed high up on a picturesque tract of rocky coast, at a height of approximately 100 meters (330 feet) above the sea level, and almost sheer above the sea itself. Every view of the seascape in this area is truly breathtaking.
The building is part of a bunch of ancient houses that cling to the top of a rocky spur, all facing the sea and the sun, and surrounded by lemon growths. Here the authentic locals of Amalfi live their life, with its quiet rhythm, and there is no crowd of tourists.
You will reach it walking uphill for approximately 20 meters (20 yards) along a short pedestrian alley. Once beyond the main door, you will find yourself in a small yard, closed on three sides by white walls, and open on the fourth side on a spectacular view of the coast and of the sea.
Terrace
The terrace is 80 square meters (860 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a characteristic pergola with a bamboo roof. It is equipped with tables, chairs and two sun loungers. From the terrace you will enjoy a wonderful view of the sea and of the coast of Amalfi.

The apartment has an incredible terrace with a beautiful view of the ocean. The apartment is nice and I definitely recommend it but it does need a little renovation in terms of paint work, furniture and shower door. The host was very attentive and the overall experience was great. The view will make you forget about everything.

I stayed here with my daughter and one of her friends during the second half of September. It is a 30 minute walk (and 7-8 minute drive or bus ride) from the town of Amalfi. It is perfect for 3-5 people who want a place to rest up and eat and then enjoy all the coast has to offer. The patio size is amazingly large and the view is even more so. I can't state how incredible the views were. There's a market less than a kilometre away and a bus stop just down the steps from the place. Of course, if you have an issue with steps, Amalfi is probably not the best location to vacation.
Antonio made sure we had what we needed and directed us to the location with a helpful and cheerful attitude that we appreciated after a long trip there.
Great restaurants, beaches, and services (like boating) are nearby and you're in the middle of the coast with easy access within 30-35 minutes to Positano or Salerno.
We were happy, after a busy day to Ravello or Capri, to come back to our little respite with a wonderful view to relax and recharge.
Finally, if you are thinking of going, September is a wonderful time to go. We had 7 days of sunshine in the 70's (mid 20's in Celsius) and the crowds were very manageable (no issues with reservations or anything). It was vibrant without being overwhelming.

Good but not perfect
Very nice and clean apartment. Good AC (useful in August). Antonio (the manager) is a very helpful and kind person. Small micro-market few minutes from the house is quite expensive it's better to go to Maiori as in Amalfi there is no market neither. The only problem were the guests in the other part of the house. A group of young people making parties till 4am. During the night it was really impossible to sleep. They stopped a bit after few interventions. But one should know that I even the two parts of the Villa are separated you will hear the others (not an oasis of silence... )

The accommodation was fantastic
The accommodation was fantastic. An indescribable view of the sea from the beautiful, very large terrace was of course one of the highlights.
The very nice and stylish accommodation left nothing to be desired. The pictures reflect the real situation very well.
Especially great was the excellent care and support from Antonio [the caretaker], who was always available for us and gave us great advice.
We would come back anytime and would recommend the property to anyone looking for a fantastic location in the idyllic mountain scenery of the Amalfi Coast. From there you can make many nice trips and enjoy the many good Italian restaurants.

The villa is in an amazing spot - the view is spectacular!
Easy travel by bus to Amalfi - bus stop next to the entrance of the villa, and in Amalfi there are countless ways to travel by bus and ferry.
We loved our stay at the villa.
Our host Antonio was very willing to help and be of assistance - brought us lemons from his garden. :)
Summer In Italy service was good and they were quick to answer all questions.

From the pictures, we fell in love with the terrace - and we were not disappointed. This was perfect. The apartment inside is fine too, everything worked out fine and we (mom, dad and 3 sons of age 21, 19 and 14) had a very nice week.
Good service and quick feed-back. Everything worked out fine with Summer In Italy.

Stunning view
My wife and I stayed at Villa Arcangela in beginning of October 2018. This is a really stunning rental with a breathtaking view of the Mediterrainean Sea.
The Villa is within walking distance from town of Amalfi (2.8 km) - but take the hilly terrain into consideration. There is a bus stop litterally outside the frontdoor of the house.
Even for this off-peak season the traffic on the Amalfi cost is a challenge - I hate to think of traffic conditions during summer period :-)
We truly enjoyed the visit, and the very friendly and helpful assistance from Antonio. We definately will consider revisiting Villa Angelica.

Amazing terrace and views
Amazing terrace and views. Outside table and chairs, sun loungers and deck chairs. Well equipped villa, everything you could need in a kitchen. Spotlessly clean. All the little things to make the first day hassle free (washing up liquid, toilet roll etc). A great location and a pleasant place to stay.
Warm welcome from the caretaker.
The booking process was easy, and the information provided about the property before our trip was excellent and made it very easy/straightforward.

Great property and management. Thanks Antonio! Go to his restaurant in Conca the town just above Vettica if you have the time.
Lots of space inside and outside with the patios. Kitchen had everything that we needed too. Antonio helped us out with everything local including buses, restaurants and taxis, etc. I miss the Amalfi Coast already!
