The Gull’s Nest is a beautifully designed and decorated newer free-standing home with one of the BEST LOCATIONS in Shorepine Village just steps to the beach access and bordering the beach dune. This home has upgraded amenities, comfy beds and linens, wifi, cable TV, gas fireplace. It is adjacent to the fun, private trail system that runs throughout the village and is very close to Cape Kiwanda and all of the shopping, dining and recreation. This home has amazing decor and beautiful art throughout and has been well stocked for the vacationer with BBQ, books, toys, games & bikes. Your dog is welcome too and there is a back deck with access to the walking path, and a fenced side yard for privacy.

Cancellation policy: 1/2 the total cost of the booking is subject to forfeiture if reservation is canceled or changed within 30 days of arrival. 100% of rental rate is charged if cancelled (or no-show) within 7 days of arrival. The cottage is adorable and perfectly located. It was clean, well appointed and quiet!! It is on the other side of a sand dune from the beach but there is a paved path leading to a ramp up to the top of the sand dune. You can either walk along the beach to the pub, coffee house or market or you can take the paved path to these locations. Either way. It's less than 10 minutes to get there.
Also, Kiwanda Coastal Properties is very easy to work with and checked in with us the day after we checked in to make sure all was well.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Relaxing Stay in a Tranquil Setting
This is a very nice two story property with upstairs bedrooms that is behind a sand dune. The beach is on the other side of the sand dune and is easily reached via a paved pathway and then over a wooden bridge. The top of the dune provides excellent views of the ocean and has nice benches you can sit and just listen to the surf.
There is a nice brew pub just up the pathway with excellent views of the beach and surf. Food was good as was the beer.
The home is well equipped and the two car garage will fit my 2021 Tahoe. You just cannot open the back of the Tahoe with the doors closed.
Landscaping is nice with plenty of trees. If you are a cut grass nut, you will not appreciate the sea grasses as they are not trimmed. Lots of birds. Homes are very close, but it is well laid out. This time of year (April) it is fairly quiet and we had sun all week with nightly rain. May be noisier during the summer months. Lincoln City is a short 30 minutes away if you want more choices for food or stores. Casino was very good in both of their high end restaurants.
Some minor issues, but most were easily fixed on our part and the rest we gave to management to fix after our visit as it did not inconvenience us. All in all, a wonderful stay that am would recommend and will be back to.

Could have been better
Received message on day before arrival that fireplace was not working. Upon arrival we found the front bedroom offered no privacy while dressing or sleeping because the blinds were broken, inoperable, and in open position (except for one sagging corner). In addition, the boardwalk needed for beach access was “closed for inspection and repair”.

Nice house and great location
Reported to office manager a few things that did not work so well. —- (1) refrigerator was leaking water on food, (2) upstairs bathtub stopper would not hold water, (3) master bath toilets pocket door would not close, (4) could not use one of the stuffed chairs in family room because of a broken leg.

Great location and overall nice property
Overall - I loved the location of this property. It is a 2 min walk up and over the dune using the ramp to get to the beach as well as it’s a 10 minute walk down the beach or along the road to the Pelican Brewing and other associated shops which is wildly convenient.
Overall had a great, albeit short stay (2 nights) with a few minor gripes:
- when we entered the unit the kitchen was eminating a pretty terrible smell. We tracked it down to the garbage disposal and were able to clear it up but it certainly wasn’t the most pleasant thing to have to do right out of the gate. I would say make sure the cleaning crew adequately cleans the sink/garbage disposal.
- I understand not providing certain items, but there wasn’t even a single paper towel roll. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to stock the place with 1 paper towel roll since there is a full kitchen.
- I think the key pick up/drop off situation could be made way easier with a simple lock box at the front door. Would eliminate trips to the office and/or quell any uncertainty about getting the keys if you are checking in after business hours of the office
In any case, it was a cute, mostly clean, great location property. Would definitely stay again despite the gripes mentioned above

Relaxing
We enjoyed staying here. The walk to the beach was short. The rooms are spacious. Everything you need is in the home. We loved the dog run to let our pups out and not worry about them running away. Very quiet neighborhood and kind neighbors. Will book again.

Wonderful Getaway
We loved our time at the Gull's Nest. The house was plenty big for our family of four (the children loved having their own huge rooms, and the desk in one of the bedrooms was very helpful with distance learning). Couldn't ask for a better location, just steps from beach access (hiking back up the dune is a great workout) and five minutes from Pelican and a wonderful coffee shop. The internet connection was strong enough for all four of us to be on devices as we worked and schooled remotely with no issues. Will definitely stay here again.

Perfect home for our family of six! Nicole, with Kiwanda Realty, was very responsive and helpful with assuring that we had a high chair and pack and play. House had easy access to beach and was a short walk to center of Pacific City. We enjoyed every minute of our stay!

Nice home
The home was nice. There were a few problems but the property management took care of them once we finally got ahold of someone. The instructions for recycling are confusing and the person I talked to in the office (not Nicole she was very good) was less than helpful and even a little rude. Many of the blinds are either broken or not working properly and should be fixed or replaced. The location is good (just a sand dune from the beach) and very quiet. We enjoyed our stay

A nice property close to the north part of town
The owners have done a good job of furnishing and decorating the home, it's close to town on the north end and nice to have the stairs close by over the berm. Nice bedrooms, bathrooms, living and dining area. You can walk the paved path to town 5 minutes away via a street at the end of the path. There were some light bulbs out (we took them in to the office and got 1 replacement) and the blinds needed worked on or replaced in the dining area as they wouldn't open/shut properly. Also the property was not cleaned when we arrived so notified the management, took a walk, drank at the brewery and came back and the housekeeper was just finishing. We appreciated that they were able to get someone right away and our cleaning fee was refunded. Overall a good property.

Fun house next to the beach
Awesome house right next to the path up to the beach. Decorations/paint made it a fun place to be. Only real downsides were there were some noisy/squeaky spots in the living room and one bed room, and also the house is right next to the path. While most of the time this wouldn't be an issue, having dogs that get excited when people go by was not super fun. All in all though, fantastic house and definitely recommend it.

We are 2 adults with 2 kids, and this house was PERFECT for us. The layout was great, the location is excellent, you can walk to several restaurants...They even had a high chair for us in the garage. The owners thought of many things!

We enjoyed our winter beach stay. It was freezing outside but the place was warm and cozy.
The kitchen was well equipped, it was very clean and the beds were really comfy. Also really close to the beach...just over the sand dune! I loved the little beachy decorations throughout.
