Experience the beauty and wildlife of Cheyenne Cañon in this beautiful historic 2 bedroom one bath cottage built in 1913. Updated with modern features but retaining the old world charm of the wide trim and wood floors with antique furniture and fixtures. Enjoy the 5 person hot tub on the back porch. Located only 2 blocks from the famous Broadmoor Hotel and a half block from Cheyenne creek. Deer and other wildlife visit the property often. You are minutes away from all amenities, yet secluded in the beauty and serenity of Cheyenne Canyon.

This beautiful 1300sf cottage furnished with many antique and historic pictures from Colorado Springs colorful past. Beautiful stone fireplace with electric fireplace heater. Two bedrooms, full bathroom, dining room with seating for 6, good sized living room, enclosed sun porch, 5 person Hot Tub, BBQ grill, porch swing and table/chairs await you on the back porch. The living room hosts a 55' Smart TV, DVD player and a DVD movie library! Blue tooth sound bar. The kitchen is equipped with modern stainless steel appliances and is well stocked providing a Toaster Oven, Microwave, Blender, Griddle, Rice Cooker, Spice Rack, Coffee Pot, Pots/Pans, Plates/Glasses, utensils and much more! Washer and dryer in basement.

Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate, Creamer, Sugar and sweetener provided.

The master bedroom has a king size oak sleigh bed with a new mattress, night stand and dresser. Bedroom 2 has a full size antique bed with new mattress and Twin bed. Bedrooms are equipped with alarm clocks with USB charging port for your cell phone or tablet. Living room has a new queen sofa sleeper with an upgraded memory foam mattress. Twin Sofa sleeper.

From the property you can hear musical bells from the Will Roger's Shrine and historical churches. Cheyenne Cañon offers hiking, horse back riding, world class mountain biking and dirt bike riding on its numerous trail systems and the infamous Captain Jacks Trail. Stratton Open Space Preserve is just a block in half away! You will find trail maps of Cheyenne Cañon and of the Colorado Springs area of local trails and historical books of the area. The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Will Rogers Shrine, Seven Falls, and Helen Hunt Falls are just up the road. Experience world class golf courses Blocks away. We just finished our long weekend at Captain Jack’s and it was just what we were looking for our family of 4 (kids 10 and 12 years old). It was very close to everything, quaint and cozy. Our favorite part was the yard- it was small and private, we enjoyed grilling and chilling in the hot tub; our kids favorite part. Highly recommend!

Definitely recommend this property! Good location, got to see deer nearby every evening and one walking in front of the house the first morning. We also saw a little black bear in the neighbors yard one evening. The cottage is unique & charming with a relaxing and homey vibe. It was very clean and they did a great job utilizing the space so it felt spacious even though it’s only 2 bed, 1bath. The hot tub was a nice plus! The little extras like coffee provided and a hair dryer in the house just made the stay that much easier. The host was good at communicating and easy to work with. If we are ever back in the Springs we will definitely be back!

This was a perfect place to stay for my sister and I while hiking in Colorado Springs. The house is close to all of the prime hiking spots and easy to get to restaurants, grocery store, etc., so we didn’t waste time driving around. The hot tub was wonderful for sore muscles. Table in the back yard was peaceful and private. The host was very responsive.

Our family of 5 stayed and had a nice time. Kids loved the hot tub. Everything was very clean, comfortable and easy to find (I.e fan/extra pillows). There was a deer in the front when we arrived and the kids looked for her each day hoping to see her again.

This adorable cottage was everything! We immediately felt at home the minute we walked in. It was beautifully decorated with antiques and comfy furniture. We were impressed with how clean everything was as well. The hot tub was so great to soak in after long days of activities. We were sad to leave but will for sure be back! Highly recommend!

Loved our own personal cottage with a hot tub and short little walk to the conference at the Broadmoor. Perfect living room to gather together. Very cozy. Love having a washer and dryer so I don't have to bring so many clothes for an 8 day stay. Thanks so much to the host for all the suggestions of hiking and things to do! From the moment I arrived, he was incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring that my stay was enjoyable. He went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and was always available to address any questions or concerns I had. Moreover, everything I needed was conveniently within range, from grocery stores to restaurants, making it incredibly convenient. Overall, I highly recommend renting from Curtis. This charming property is just delightful. The cottage is well maintained and nicely furnished. It provided a cozy and comfortable setting for our Thanksgiving dinner and vacation. Very clean and well kept in a quite neighborhood. Deer would show up around 3:45 every afternoon for their walk around the neighborhood. Hot tub made for a very nice place to relax and the beds were beyond comfortable. Very nice place to come back to after running around all day. Would definitely recommend!!!

This is an amazing little cottage! The neighborhood is a beautiful. Right at the mouth of Cheyenne canyon. It is super clean and the private hot tub was used frequently. I definitely recommend staying here. I will certainly stay again.

We really enjoyed out stay in Captain Jack's Cottage. The house was well furnished and very clean. We enjoyed the coffee setup and the treats that awaited us in the refrigerator. The hot tub was very nice use in the evenings. If we return to CS we will be booking Captain Jack's again.

Second time staying at this property. Shorter visit this time but it was just as nice and just as convenient as the first time. Great, quiet location but still close to all the action. Great central location for all the attractions in Colorado Springs. Curtis is great to work with and makes it very easy to feel right at home when you walk in. Even the water pressure is great! Hot tub is a great bonus as well! I hate to have to do laundry on vacation but I hate it even more to have to do it all when you get home so the laundry room is perfect!
