Property is a traditional Spanish house with the rooms off the court yard and is surrounded by a 4 meter wall so you have total privacy.
The place is a curiosity shop with nice wee features that you suddenly notice.
It is a very quiet location although I don't think much would be heard outside of the property because of the high walls.
We had 2 younger children staying with us and could barely hear them in the morning due to the thick walls in the place.
Rachel speaks good English and is always available for advice about the area and any problems encountered. The internet went down one day and she got it sorted within an hour.
Over all the area is not tourist orientated but the local supermarket and restaurant/pub is reasonably priced. I would recommend a visit to the restaurant pub.
The weather was not the best in February but I think April onwards it would be ideal especially when the temperatures are high.
The weather.

Good place. Nice vibe and super quiet. ideal for working ( if I had wifi and the electricity would actually work ) .
I decided to sped there few days for this reason. Working and jacuzzi ... but
the main Picture is a Jacuzzi Which was empty and no hot water. Ask before booking if is it going to work . Maybe they should write " no water in the pictures " or " if you put water its going to be cold "
But ok, I went there for working...
Overnight the light would go off - electricity died .
no matter if I had the heater or not, every night I won't have electricity - and that's for me working online was a very big problem
Plus Wifi decided not to work and I left 2 days earlier .
yes , 2 days payed and not used, but it was my choice .
I normally do not write any bad comment,
i let people live easy and do their work,
but , although I wrote a long message explaining,
I did not get any answer.
No " sorry for this "
I don't care about the 2 nights I payed without staying
I only care about a simple " sorry sir, ca we do something? " and My score would have been much higher

I stayed in Casa Abuela for around a month and had a wonderful time. The apartment is characterful place that really beds you into the style and pace of life in Tenerife with a lot of charm. Sitting out in the patio or roof for meals or a drink is the perfect place to start or end a day of outdoor adventures. The owner Raquel is very accessible and really made me feel at home during my stay.
Arico Neuvo itself is a real community led town with a lovely feel to it. The people are all very welcoming and while I was there (November/December) there was a climbing festival with live music and a real Christmas feel with decorations, lights, and wreaths hung up that really brought a holiday vibe to the town.
I was there primarily to hike, trail run, and climb which the island and local area deliver in spades. From your door you have walking access to some great hikes up into the foothills and high quality bouldering down in the gulley (Arico Nuevo on 27 crags with great topo for the problems thanks to the local climbing guru Walter). If you are more of a sport climber there are a dozen crags within 10-20 minutes driving distance including the famous Arico sector.
It takes about an hour and 15 minutes to drive up to the Teide National Park. I spent several days up there hiking and climbing in a truly spectacular venue. Well worth the scenic drive.
Overall, an amazingly well located and equipped home to base your stay in Tenerife 😊.

Everything was nice and good. Although there is room for a lot of people, we where with 2 persons and had the house completely for ourselves.
We've talked serval times with the owner and she was nice and friendly! We would definitely recommend this place

We are family of 6 and there was enough place for everybody. Raquel was really a great host. She explained us all and answered to all of our questions. After just few minutes we got a feeling that we know each other for ages. Children were astonished that we have our own street (= patio) in the house:) The location of the village is really calm and morning/evening breeze on the top is fantastic. You just probably need a car.

The villa was amazing. Very private, with lots of open space. We spent all our time there outside, Raquel the owner speaks English and is very helpful. We were a family of 6 and had a fantastic holiday. This is not your usual holiday accommodation, there are lots of unique items there to make the place very homely. It's also very traditional, but has been sensitively restored to suit holiday makers. The area is friendly but quiet, only 6km from the nearest small town, and just a little further to Medena where you can find supermarkets and tourist attractions. The house is about 25 minutes drive from the airport (TFS). It was nice to stay somewhere where we were supporting a local host rather than a big company. We will definitely be back again and again.

Its a really nice and quiet place. Perfect for relaxing.
We found everything like it is shown on the pictures at booking.com
I can highly recommend this accomodation!
If you like to climb: A lot of climbing areas can be reached in about 15 minutes. A surf school is close too.
