The house is beautifully decorated and very cozy with lots of great spaces to hangout. Rooms are comfortable with good beds. Nice views of the water. The cliffs are close by for hiking/walking about. Nice large dining table for gathering and gaming. The location is close to restaurants and near enough to other attractions (e.g. 30 mins to Blue Lagoon).

We loved our stay in this historic, lovely home. Communication was great, home was as advertised. We enjoyed the location, which was convenient to many things, and was quieter than Reykjavik. The restaurants in Keflavik are very good. We liked walking along the water. Overall a wonderful stay.

House was beautiful inside and close to dining and shopping in Keflavik. Did have to drive about half an hour to go to Reykjavik, but we didn’t find that to be too much of an issue. Owner was very nice and she responded quickly to any questions I posed….and there were quite a few. House had a great view of the bay from the third floor. Overall great stay!

Very nice place
This was a very nice place. The second restroom was on the 3rd floor that was fine but a low ceiling.
Still comfortable for 3 workers.

Iceland holiday
This property was exactly as advertised. It was actually too large for just the two of us, but we chose it primarily for its proximity to the airport, which is very convenient. It was charming and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.

Love the house and the location
We stayed at this place twice and love it. The location is perfect and the house has lots of room for a family.
The festival of lights was going on and it caused a little problem with the parking since they closed the road and we were not able to park at the house.

Perfect location for day trips!
We loved this home and location, local restaurants (cafe Duus and Thai Keflavík were our favorites) and an ice cream shop next door! Walks along the sea cliffs, and really no significant noise from the airport. We found the house to be very clean and cosy and welcoming. We had long wonderful day trips each day, getting back to a lovely home in the evening, with a parking spot next to the house- truly great.

Perfect location
We loved our trip to Iceland. I traveled with my family of 5—3 adult children. The house was so conveniently located near the airport and all of what SW Iceland has to offer! We made day trips to do all the Golden Circle has to offer and more!
There is a grocery store and plenty of restaurants in walking distance, although we loved to cook in the beautiful kitchen!
The house was equipped with everything we needed...truly a home away from home. Dagny was attentive to our needs.
We would come back and do it all again!
Perfect location!

Very Nice and Close to the KEF airport
The house was very comfortable and everything was as described. We rented a vehicle for our visit and this place was a perfect home base, 30 min from Reykjavik and less than 20 min from Blue Lagoon. The house overlooks the bay and has a beautiful view of the bay and the mountains across the bay. Shopping and dining are within walking distance.
We enjoyed everything about our stay.

Comfortable Home (away from home)!
The 3-story house is located less than a 15 minute drive to airport and about a 60 minute drive to Reykjavik. The third floor has a fantastic view over rooftops to the ocean a few blocks away. The kitchen is well appointed with all the necessary items to cook your own meals. Several tasty restaurants and nice grocery store are just a few short blocks away. Although we had commuting time to Reykjavik, we were very pleased that we choose this house for our stay. Dagný has decorated the house in an eclectic tasteful comfortable style! I hope I have a chance to be back in Iceland in warmer weather and stay here again! The house and town truly added to the magic of our Iceland trip!

A Windy Beautiful Setting Over the Harbor
This 75th birthday celebration house for myself and 3 friends fit the bill. The setting was fantastic, though it could be windy. Found many treasures in the town..restaurants, craft shop run by town ladies, and exploring the southern coast by ourselves. We did 3 tours that gave us a lay of the land, then explored with the rental car. So much to see and do, and perfect location as it was not in the crowded capital, yet central enough for day trips. Being close to the airport made departure easy for rental car drop off. Hope to return in the Spring.

Wonderful older home
This is a lovely older home in Keflavik on the Reykjanes peninsula. It is fairly well maintained. The owner is very responsive and communicates well. The home is close to the international airport which is convenient, but you can also hear jets at times if you are in the house during the day, but we did not hear any jets at night.

Owner difficult to work with.
Property was ok, owner was difficult to work with. We agreed on a pre-determined price and owner promised to refund the difference because she could not discount it through the Home Away App. I have been trying since June to get the $168 refund from her without success. She will not respond to emails, iMessages or text. If I had it to do over again, I would find another place to stay in Iceland or insist on the discount being applied prior to stay.

Amazing place with ocean view and lot's of rooms. The owner is amazing
We arrive in Iceland to find out that the place we rented ( Cosyness Cottage in Hafnir) was a bad place not even close like the description. Since we could not stay because we were very blessed to find this beautiful place that had everything we needed and more. The view of the ocean was beautiful and the Northern lights amazing. Close to the airport, restaurants , shopping and groceries. The owner was eager to help us with everything. Next time we visit Iceland we will stay there again and want to recommend the place. You will not be disappointed.

Very comfortable
We have just returned from Iceland and we throughly enjoyed the first week we spent in Keflavik. The house was very comfortable and well equipped. We were a bit surprised to find so many personal effects in the house (lots of family photos, toiletries and even some make up), but once we had got used to this we felt very much at home. The house is next to a take away, which was very popular and a little noisy at times.
The description of the house is very accurate and we would recommend it as a base for your adventures in Iceland.

A home with a story
A lovely home shared with us by Dagný. Comfortable, well equipped, great views over the sea and harbour.
Great location to explore the South and Southwest of Iceland, yet only 15 minutes from the airport. Shopping is easy, dining out is easy with many choices of places to eat.
Sadly we were only there for five nights, would of liked to have stayed longer, Iceland is a wonderful country with so much to see and do.
I hope to return again to explore even more!
Thanks to Dagný for all parts played in our Icelandic adventure!

Absolutely lovely!
We adored our stay in this historic property. A short drive to Reykjavik, and close to shops, supermarkets, not to mention the delightful hamburger and fries stop next door. The home is beautifully decorated with an amazing kitchen, beautiful artwork and furnishings, and comfortable beds. Dagny was delightful to work with. We would highly recommend this home!

Ideally situated for a lovely stay in Iceland.
A very nice quirky property, real home from home. Very warm and spacious and ideal for two couples. It was nice being so near to the coast and views from the windows were great.
Property was well equipped but would perhaps benefit from having a hanging rail for clothes in the double bedrooms.
Property is less than 10mins from Keflavik airport which was ideal for us as we had a late arrival and early departure. Despite being so close there was no problems with plane noise.
Dagny was a pleasure to deal with and very helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We felt so at home in this spacious, unique and comfortable home in Keflavik.
At the end of a day of sightseeing, we found a home away from home at Dagny's home in Keflavik. The decor is wonderfully eclectic and lovely, including comfortable, inviting furniture and a well-equipped kitchen. An added plus was in having a washer and dryer to use. The home is very close to the sea and our grandchildren loved the 'Giant's home' across the street. Grocery stores were nearby and well-stocked. The drive to Reykavik did not seem onerous at all and the house is fairly close to the Blue Lagoon. And perhaps best of all, there is a terrific ice cream shop right next door. We were a group of five and having both a living room and family room allowed for quiet reading for some and watching the Olympics for others. The only slight glitch we encountered was in operating the appliances which were quite different from our own in the States, but we managed.
