this hotel has a beautiful view of calafate and the lake but that’s it ! the rest is mediocre at best
the decor is bland , uninspired , even tired looking truthfully. there was no toilet paper, soap or bath mat and only one shower towel . the curtains were drooping off the curtain rings and looked unclean , the window didn’t stay open and i needed it to cause it was hot in the room . there wasn’t any complimentary water bottle which i think would have been a nice touch the mini bar wasn’t cooling properly either . the key lock kept sounding an alarm u don’t know why the walls were paper thin do i could literally hear the people next door sneezing in the middle of the night, this is unacceptable in a hotel that cost me $175 US in summary , the hotel looks like it needs a healthy dose of TLC real soon because the view is worth it oh and they should pave the road so maybe the steep walk up the road leading to the hotel won’t feel as dusty

The reception staff was extremely kind, helpful and knowledgeable, especially Walter! He spoke good English, helped us organise our trip to Petito Moreno glacier before we even arrive to Argentina, provided us all with all relevant information about it and made all necessary bookings for us. Would definitely recommend this hotel for someone who values a nice view to Lago Argentino more than staying in the city centre. Taxis were just 700 pesos max from hotel to city centre. The food at the restaurant was very good, although it is not open for lunch.

Beautiful views of the Lago Argentino and a nice spacious room with a comfy bed. Breakfast was buffet-style with a nice variety of fruit, pastries, bread, ham, cheese, and scrambled eggs on demand. The staff was very helpful in getting cabs for us to go downtown and get dinner.
Overall the facilities are a little on the older side, but it doesn't have a run-down feeling. Not ideal to walk into since it's up a hill through a dirt road but the location gives it prime views of the Argentinian Lake. The only thing I absolutely hated was the WiFi which was PAINFULLY slow. We ended up having to use our international phone data because the wifi was just not cutting it, not in our rooms, not in the dining area, and not at the front desk.

Staff was friendly, helpful and very accommodating. We needed help booking tours and had a lot of questions and they were very patient with us, helping us to book tours and make sure the trip worked out for us. The view from the lounge is great.
The breakfast is a sugar bomb. Almost all sweets, might be traditional in Argentina but was limited what we could eat. Pick ups for tours start as early as 6:30 and breakfast starts at 6:30 and there is nothing else around to eat. may e they could have an option 15
minutes earlier. The rooms are comfortable but do not qualify as 4 star, smell like cleaning solution/ chemicals, bidet leaked so the bathroom floor was wet and the shower sprayed everywhere and was stained. If it were not for the great staff, this would have been a real disappointment.

the view
when I get to the hotel there was nobody in the reception. had to wait around 20 min to check in. There was a bad smell in the hotel. there was hair in the shower really disgusting. The breakfast was really small. Ypu could hear the noises in other rooms

We stayed at 1 night and arrived late at night. Helpful staff which helped coordinate an airport pickup and allowed us to have a later checkout the next day. Breakfast had a nice view over the lake.
Outdated hotel, but fine for a short stay. Breakfast buffet was not very extensive.

Very good location and view. The room was big enough and with a nice view. The bed was also spacious and confortable. The staff was nice and helpful.
- The breakfast is a joke for a hotel of this price range. The food itself is pretty cheap (medialunas were dry and other stuff were not good either).
- The breakfast starting time is not fully respected. It’s supposed to start at 6:30 but some things (like eggs and saussages) were not ready until 7:10 at the earliest. This is very annoying when you have a tour starting at 7am for example.
- Room isolation is not very good. We can hear everything from the hallway and also we could hear the music from the breakfast room very early in the morning.

Extremely uncomfortable beds, small room. Requested a room closed to the entrance since my mom is handicapped. They put us in one that was only accesible through stairs. This was impossible for her. Had to switch hotels the next day. They did not refund any money. Never coming back.

location was good, only a 20 min walk into town and quieter where it is located off the main strip of shops and restaurants. comfortable and clean rooms, nice view from the front of the property overlooking the lake
Dirt road up to the hotel is a bit rough and ready! but often the smaller roads are like that in Argentina. Breakfast was good but could have been better quality for some of the options. however was what we expected for the breakfast and the staff were lovely.

The location is around a 20-25 minutes walk from the city center. The building has a very comfortable layout, the room had a great view of Lago Argentino, it was quiet, the bed was comfortable including pillows and the jacuzzi was wonderful. The breakfast was abundant with many options to choose from and we had dinner there as well and it was very pleasant.
Coffee could have been better. It may have been a post-pandemic effect but the staff seemed new and not well trained. We were given the wrong room and when a few hours later we were informed about the mix up the apology was almost non existent. The biggest irony of all is that the hotel is called Terrazas but the actual terrace lacked of lounge chairs or ANY type of chairs. So the fact that we couldn't sit outside (especially now with covid) and enjoy the beautiful view was quite disappointing.
