About this house rental
Oakleigh is a large Victorian villa in a quiet residential area just 200m from the beach and a short walk from children's play park and town centre facilities. With 3 reception rooms and 6 bedrooms, the house was designed for entertaining and for taking in the sea air from the outset. Many of its original Victorian features have been retained and are now complimented with interior furnishings that blend coastal chic with a boutique style.
Outside there is a very private garden with space for alfresco dining and a second elevated space for relaxing on all-weather rattan furniture.
From the side entrance hall there are doors to the recently refurbished Lounge (2024), Games room, WC and Dining room. The Dining room has a wood-burner and table which extends to seat 10 people. The kitchen is fully equipped including oyster shuck, mussel steamer and plenty of corkscrews. A second staircase leads to what would have originally been the servants rooms. On the first floor there are 2 double bedrooms, two single bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. The second floor has 2 double bedrooms, and large shower room and another separate WC.
Set up as a home from home, guests are welcome to use all the facilities including laundry, barbeque, buckets & spades for beach, etc.
Space for 2 cars and plenty of street parking on Lincoln Square.
Hunstanton has a great deal to offer as a resort town with its beaches, fish and chips, ice cream and sea views. Its cliffs are a geological marvel and from here an easy walk to Old Hunstanton sees the landscape transform into sand dunes and big skys. Further afield the coast road travels to Holme-by- the-sea, Thornham, Titchwell, Brancaster; all designated areas of outstanding natural beauty. Fresh fish is available in Thornham and Brancaster Staithe. Travelling 5 miles inland from here, the shopping of Burnham Market may prove irresistible. Holkham and Wells have great walks and beaches to explore. The Royal Summer Estate of Sandringham is well worth visiting.
Some of our favourite places to eat include - White Horse (Brancaster), The Crown or The Globe (Wells), Victoria (Holkham), Orange Tree (Thornham), Hoste Arms (Burnham Market), The Duck Inn (Stanhoe), Rose and Crown (Snettisham), The Lodge (Old Hunstanton). This area of North Norfolk has something to offer throughout the year.

This is a great house to stay in. The location is within an easy walk to the shops and seafront.
The rooms are all comfortable with plenty of room for a full range of ages with plenty of space to escape if needed.
The kitchen is the best equipped that we have seen in all the years we have hired houses.
Marion is a great host and easy to communicate with if needed.
When we return to Hunstanton this will be our first pick for sure.

We enjoyed the break overall, however ongoing building works next door were intrusive.

We had a wonderful stay at Marion’s house. The property is lovely. Very clean, plenty of space, comfortable, well equipped and any correspondence with Marion was quickly responded to.
The house is a few minutes walk from the beach, shops, arcade with the funfair a little further along the promenade. All in all, a beautiful house and a wonderful week.

Lovely house & stay was great. Just one little snag the bins were overflowing outside recycling as bins are not collected until every 2 weeks. We did let the owner know.

This property was perfect. We are a family group covering toddlers, teenagers, grand parents and great grandparents! The property was spotlessly clean when we arrived, and the facilities are made for big groups. Very convenient for local town, shops, beach and amusements. We would definitely love to return.

Oakleigh was extremely well equipped for self catering, very comfortable sitting room and bedrooms. The property was convenient for the beach and the town centre. We had a BBQ in the garden one evening where we were seated on patio with outdoor settee and chairs.

We had a great stay at Marion's house. The house is really lovely, well equipped and very spacious. We were a group of three families with small children and were very comfortable. Perfect
Spacious property, very well presented and fitted out. The house is quite quirky, which my granddaughter loved, with plenty of space to spread out. The fixtures and fittings are first rate and the house is very well equipped. Having two fridges was very useful. Lots of outside space too for relaxing in the sunshine or enjoying the barbecue

Photos don't do it justice!
We had an incredible week here. The house is so well set up, clean, comfortable and homely. The beds are incredibly comfortable and all of the rooms are big and spacious so noone felt they had the worst room.
The two single rooms join and one has a 'secret staircase' down to the kitchen which our 5 and 9 year old loved. We also set up a travel cot for our smallest in one of the double rooms and there was loads of space.
We cooked at the house a lot and it was really well stocked- it felt like home.
Huge thanks Marion. We will be back.

Gorgeous house, great location
This is an absolutely fabulous house. Plenty of space, really well equipped, super clean and with comfy beds and tonnes of towels. We booked a short 4 night stay last minute but Marion sent us everything we needed to access the property and some local area info super quickly.
The house is just a few minutes' walk from the High Street and also the sea front but on a really quiet street - hard to beat. Loads to to locally - we did the 7 mile circular walk to Holme via the golf course with a stop for an all day breakfast at The Beach Hut cafe, visited Sandringham and Wells next the Sea, walked to Heacham and of course visited the local amusements. The Oasis pool is fun for an hour's splash about for younger kids and they do dedicated lane swimming morning and evening for more serious swimmers.
Highly recommended.

Perfect place for a family get together and a retirement celebration.
Bringing the family together during Covid19 was a concern. However this was made possible by the size of the accommodation. The bedrooms were spacious, the use of the garden and terrace to eat outside. The reception areas are comfortable and spacious. There was plenty of hand hygiene and sanitizing products available . There is plenty to do in Hunstanton to meet the differing activities for all family members we all had an enjoyable weekend.

Great property in great location
Very nice house in a very nice location in Hunstanton. It's very closely located to the town centre and local amenities and it's very easy to get to nearby nature reserve and nice beaches like Brancaster.
The garden is bigger than it looks in the pictures. I recommend doing the pick your own at Drove Orchards.

Fabulous week at Oakleigh
Oakleigh is a great house, very spacious, beautifully furnished, very clean and every single thing you could need or want for your stay, from every type of kitchen tool to buckets and spades and ice packs to kites!
It’s also in a great position in Hunstanton, within walking distance of everything. We spent the whole week outside, on beaches, walking, swimming, cycling, bbqing only venturing indoors for some fun on the amusements.
A terrific week, thank you Marion!

Superb Property with everything you need in an ideal location.
Oakleigh is an exceptional property of a very high standard of decor, fittings and provision. The bedrooms on two floors give different generations of a family plenty of breathing space, as do the two lounges downstairs. The kitchen is very well-appointed, as is the garden area. Shops/beach close by. I can't speak too highly of the Oakleigh.

Gorgeous holiday home
We had a great few days - there was more than enough room for us all! The kitchen had everything you would need to cater for 6-12 people - and everything laid out easy to find.
Location to beaches was brilliant!
Thankyou!
