The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. It was explained to us about breakfast choices and how to pre-order. We also got told our room was upgraded free of charge due to availability which was a lovely surprise and cant thank them enough for doing so as they didnt have to do that! The room was very well presented and clean. Views from the hotel were amazing! Feels like you're in the middle of nowhere with views of fields but are not far at all from the town and beach, so it was lovely to get the best of it all! The breakfast selection was amazing! From a fully set up table of fruits, yoghurts, fruit juices, and cereals to an option of cooked breakfasts. Myself and my partner pre-ordered our cooked breakfasts each day, and it did not disappoint. It was such a great way to start the morning, and they also have gluten-free bread/toast as an option, which was fantastic! Staff have great knowledge of surrounding areas and were more then helpful with a map to show us the best routes (signal is hit and miss when by the sea/cliffs so it's always good to have your bearings) but signal around hotel and WiFi were spot on! We spent three nights here for a wedding and mini break. We had the best stay! Thank you for your warm welcome and beautiful stay!

A great Hotel, super clean, all the staff were super helpful. Well positioned for clear and open views over the country side. Breakfasts were delicious served by very friendly staff, we had kippers on a couple of days which were the best ever.. I would definitely return to the Beacon Hotel.
Fresh milk on request, complimentary Fudge, and fresh drinking water daily.
Good location easy reach of secluded coves and beaches.
Nothing all was great.

Great place to stay if you want a quiet place to relax. The staff were really friendly and ready to assist with any requests, the room was spacious with a large double bed as advertised and the breakfast was great, with a lovely selection. We used it as a base to explore and it worked quite well. Would definitely recommend it!
The extractor fan in the bathroom did not work well so it was very steamy in there as there is no window. It would also have been great if the bath was cleaned every day so you could have a bath.

Great home, spacious accommodation, friendly staff, great location, free parking and a delightful menu
Would have preferred a couch in our room rather than an extra bed but there is a lovely sitting room available for guests

Very comfortable rooms, we had a beautiful view from ours. Food was exceptional both dinner and breakfast. Comfy lounge to unwind with a drink in the evening. Staff were extremely friendly and chatty.
A little bit isolated so had to drive (or get a taxi) to get anywhere. The views more than made up for this slight inconvenience though.

The staff were above and beyond.
Food was excellent and the
surroundings are beautiful
It was a bit tricky to find the correct
temperature in the shower due the
water pressure being weaker than we
usually expect

Fantastic location, and hotel perfect for our time in the area. Staff helpful and friendly
Only real issue for us both was the scalding temperature of towel rail. Both received burns to bodies. Pointed out to owner who apologised unreservedly but also said it would be too expensive to replace all rooms with thermo controls. There was a warning ⚠️ on it, but due to proximity of shower, would be dangerous for young person, or infirm also.

Such a comfortable bed and lovely views. Excellent breakfast too!
It was a pity the restaurant was closed on a Sunday and Monday as the property is over a mile from the village and I didn’t have a car.

Very clean and attentive staff. Food was great... different menu every night and had many good options. Dinner portions were a bit big for us. Convenient location to explore the main sights and nearby beaches. Rooms are large, clean and bright with beautiful countryside view and big comfortable bed and clean ensuite.
It's a pet friendly hotel, however, pets are not allowed in the dinning area. So we had to leave our dog in the room alone when we went for breakfast and dinner.
