Awarded Aspire Magazine's "Hidden Gem of Dorset 2016", Nestleton is a beautiful 3 double bedroom (plus travel cot) maisonette occupying the top two floors of a Victorian house, with sea views, balcony, open fire and courtyard garden. The sun streams onto the balcony and front of the house in the morning, perfect for an al fresco breakfast, and streams into the back of the property in the evening. The maisonette has its own entrance and is accessed via a side staircase. Great care and attention has been given to furnishing the maisonette in a beautiful romantic French style and it is only a 5 minute stroll into Swanage town with its many cafes and restaurants, restored Victorian pier, steam railway and long sandy beach - great for children. It is also a great place for water-sport lovers, and has a scuba diving school by the pier. Durlston country park and castle is only a 15 minute walk away and the property location will therefore also suit walkers who wish to explore the Jurassic coastline and this area of outstanding natural beauty. Corfe Castle, Studland Bay, Poole Harbour, Brownsea Island and Blue Pool to name just a few, are all in close proximity to Swanage. Children and pets are very welcome!

We had a lovely Christmas here, the apartment is really comfortable and well equipped and had been beautifully decorated for Christmas. It’s really well placed for all the sights of Swanage and the local area.

We all enjoyed staying here...loved all the French shabby chic interiors....people with limited mobility may have difficulty with steps and stairs in the property....and there is a steep hill to climb, but that was ok with us.It was very well equipped and the sea views were lovely. The town of Swanage and its surroundings is very interesting..

Lovely House, great Location
A really nicely presented house, we loved the balcony and sitting out in the morning. Just a 200m to the town which had everything we needed and lots of things locally to entertain. Loads of extras like games, video games and TV channels. I'd highly recommend.

Smashing Place to Stay!
Communication from the owner before you arrive is great, you know exactly what to expect & where to locate all the important things cutting down potential stress. The location is good, really close to the town & all it's amenities, a short walk to most places but far enough away from any hussle & bussle. The only down side is the lack of parking but the owner gives handy tips on where to park before you arrive. Inside the property is beautiful with high spec throughout, obviously well loved & maintained by it's custodians it is a lovely place to stay. We were sad to leave.

Fabulous property, with fabulous views and a very friendly owner.
Searching through Vrbo for a last minute family holiday in Dorset we chanced upon this property and knew instantly this is where we wanted to stay.
Moira was exceptionally friendly and attentive throughout the booking process and once arrived we knew we had made a great choice.
With a "shabby chic " look the property is full of character and is extremely welcoming. Each room was a delight but the balcony topped it off. We were lucky with the weather and were able to enjoy breakfast outside with great views to the sea, along with watching some very bad drivers try to reverse park on a steep hill! (The parking proved to be no trouble - we were lucky to have a place outside for the whole duration of our stay).
Staying in April, it did go cold at night, but the heating is quick and efficient and soon warmed up - we had no need to use the fire but I would imagine that would be so cosy in the winter.
Everything we needed was available in the kitchen, except for a lack of tea spoons, but that is hardly a problem!
The beds were all very comfortable. We thought the bed in the Master was a memory foam bed, until we realized at the end when stripping the beds that it was actually just a lump of foam - it was so comfy I might just do that at home when mine needs replacing!
Now back home, we are already planning on booking a return. Sooner the better I hope.

The perfect seaside retreat
We had a wonderful holiday, staying with the whole family, kids and grandparents. The property is perfectly located a few minutes from the high street, beach and pier. Beautiful sunrise and sea views from the balcony and the master bedroom is spacious and serene. It’s really well equipped and the welcome pack is a lovely bonus. On a clear day take a walk through Durlston Country Park to the castle. Studland Beach is heavenly. The Pierhead is a fantastic restaurant.

A lovely place to stay
We had a very enjoyable holiday in Swanage. It's a quaint Victorian town with safe sea bathing and many interesting places to visit and for walking in wonderful countryside. Nestleton is a very attractive property with fascinating decor. The beds are really comfortable, and the facilities good. There are plenty of games for the children to play. Good quality cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge in the kitchen. Downstairs there is a pretty little courtyard area which is good for al fresco eating. We thoroughly recommend Nestleton.

Chic and comfy
The apartment is very well equipped, with comfortable furniture and good quality gadgets. The owners have provided everything needed for a super holiday, come rain or shine. Parking is a bit of a nuisance but we managed to find spaces not too far away

Lovely short break
The owner was very helpful, and the maisonette was located very close to the beach and the town centre. The views of the coastline were great from the front of the house and the veranda and especially from the master bedroom, where the sunrise is magnificent.
Facilities in the house were great, bedrooms comfortable and the kitchen nice and large.
It was easy to walk to all parts of town, and to Durlsdon Castle. The Seventh Wave cafe there was excellent, beautiful views, great food and superb service.
We would definitely recommend this lovely rental property.

A truly pleasant getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at this property in Swanage. The house is spacious, clean, and well furnished. It's right next to the town area and you can be on the beach within 5 minutes of walking. There are plenty of lovely shops, pubs, restaurants, and the usual seaside expectations such as ice cream parlours and fish n chip shops. There's great attention to detail and there was a bottle of wine and box of biscuits waiting for us on arrival - a very nice touch. We fully intend to come again.

This is a beautiful house. All the furnishings and fittings are high quality. The setting is fabulous with a view of the sea from the balcony and the high street within an easy walk. Parking can be tricky on the road but it is wide enough to stop and unload and we always found a space a bit further up the hill.Moira is a lovely host - responsive and helpful. We had a bottle of wine and a huge Dorset Apple cake waiting for us on arrival which was really thoughtful and very welcome.Cannot recommend highly enough.

4 night stay
Property is an excellent location for access to the centre of Swanage, less than 5 minute walk to beach and town centre restaurants and has lovely views from the Lounge and front bedroom. Parking is a little unpredictable and can require walking up a steep hill at times
The property contains everything you could possibly need - cooking utensils, toys, video games and much more.
We felt very comfortable during our stay.

Great Stay
Lovely maisonette, had everything that we needed. Good position for my husband and I but on a steep hill which I could see might be an issue for the less mobile. This in no way would put us off booking in the future.

Great place to stay in Swanage
Despite Storm Dennis trying to put a dampener on our long weekend, we had a great trip. And this property was a huge reason why. It is extremely well decorated and looked after. After braving the elements outside for a while, it was so nice to come back to this cosy place. We traveled with our 3 daughters (11,9,8) and small dog. The kids loved the games in the house and the dog felt right at home. Moira was super nice and helpful on our email exchanges. The house is close to a number of pubs and restaurants but also has a great kitchen if staying in.
All around great experience.
