The only things really stopping me from giving an excellent rating are the things I mentioned already.

The room set up was great

No hand towels or hand soap. And stingy with the toilet paper. Only twice did we get a new roll. I had to buy some. Also the laundry room was not open at 7am. I had to ask for it to be opened and finally someone showed up at 7:20. Also our kitchen trash was completely full. Never got emptied.

The elevator was down for half the day, small children running thru hallways screaming, slamming doors, guest rooms and main entry to floor.

Loud noise from hallway. Percolator didnt work. staff called telling me to check out, it wasn't 12pm yet, that was very bad.

Horrible stay.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The Hotel is run down, the room didn’t have any towels, the type of people who were staying there are shady, I didn’t feel like it was a hotel but a cheap apartment.

The stay was okay, I think the building is just older and needs to be renovated.

It was okay, but has the potential to be better. The check-in staff was nice.

When I first went to check in, the room was not ready. I arrived at 3:15 and waited almost two hours for them to give me a room which I consider a late check in and when I asked for a late check out, they did not grant me one. The aircon also was not working and I had to call maintenance. The toilet flush handle was a wet string that you pull up. Also, the security deposit written on the website for booking.com says $100, but they charged me $200.

Exceptional

The ease of access from our room to the pool area. The front desk and overall staff.

It took a while for the requested items to arrive and the patio and grill I had wanted to rent out wasn't available but front desk stated it wasn't booked. To be told it was eventually booked and I had marinated meats gone to waste cause we couldn't BBQ it.

Overall, besides the comfy beds, it was the inclusion of the cooking amenities which was the deal breaker why we opted to book with the hotel. The chambermaids or cleaning staff were very accommodating with requests.

Some if not all of the Front desk or the concierge were very accommodating, but there were some front desk personnel who were not really helpful or responsive to some of our minor and basic queries such as what places they could recommend to go to or what are the modes of transportation to go from point a to b in the island, one staff didn't even bother to answer my sister's query she just told her to search it herself via Google) which we found a little disrespectful and rude. Otherwise the amenities were great. It would have been better if the hotel provided a tram, shuttle or coaster service from the airport to the hotel, main town of vice versa, as the transportation was the downer during the trip as it was difficult and expensive to navigate the island. The hotel could've offered or gave suggestions on great places and tour packages to go to or avail, it would be easier because not all are tech savvy, and a staff or a local familiar to the island can give feedbacks or even tips to better improve the travel experience of guests.
