Warm family, very welcoming
Really nice to chat with the owner. Very knowledgeable about Cambodia
The common area was great and peaceful. Lots of hammocks to chill, free coffee
I stayed in my own space which it was really nice to take a break from dorms
Lots of rooster around which was nice to feel you’re in a rural area but they cluck all the time, day and night
Also, I got bitten by too many mosquitoes, flies and not sure if other kind of bugs. I wanted to stay longer but that was way too much (usually I handle these things pretty well, I literally had over 100 bites from shoulders to toes)

Awesome host with all the information you need for staying on the island. Really well situated and still relaxed and quiet. Really big garden to chill and relax. Quick access to the snorkeling area.
A lot of roosters in the area, in case they want to do a rooster Showdoww, bring some earplugs. The beds are quite soft so it depends on your preference, also your weight how far you sink in.

Very simple acommodation, but all you need really, with a lovely host. Great location and chill place to relax.
The door to my room had swollen so wasn't able to close it, but it's the type of place that you still feel comfortable and safe despite this.

Amazing location, super quiet and chill place with a lovely green garden. Would definitely recommend staying here. Izza was an amazing kind host!
Not really anything to mention, still short after Covid so things are planned to get renovated/updated.

We spent 8 nights here. This part of the island is quite secluded but we absolutely loved it. The town is quite small but lots of different options for food and good choice of bars. Isan and his family have a lovely set up, very relaxed area to read or do some work. No wifi at the property but if your data runs out theres a small shop in the centre of town where you can get top ups for Metfone and other providers. No cash points or card machines on the island so make sure you bring enough for your stay. The rooms were really cosy and had good mosquito nets set up. We were really sad when we had to leave. Thank you.

Lovely rustic place - great family and peaceful garden setting. Relaxed atmosphere and everything close by. Extended my stay here like many others 😁😁
Places at M"Pai Bay are just getting back on their feet after COVID closed it all. There are some empty places but it was fantastic here and I suggest you go see for yourself 😎

Great location, lovely people running the place. good value.
toilets often didn’t have water, sinks didn’t have any water throughout my stay. no hand soap.. hard to get a drink the bar had little vibe but I think this is something that will change.

The room is comfortable and fair price.
I really recommend this place.

Super chill environment and really nice communal area :)
The showers are cold, there are fans in the room... Its very simple but if you dont mind simple living it's great. I stayed 5 nights and could have stayed longer.
They don't currently do food but are planning to open up the kitchen again soon. You can get beer, water and coffee then they're happy for you to bring in snacks!
Love Lazy Bones <3

Issan and his family are really great people and we had the best time in Lazy Bones. They supported us in everything we wanted to do . Really fair price, cozy bungalows , nice garden area to chill during the day and 2 min walk to the pier- best place to stay on mpay bay !!!!
There was nothing we didnt like at this place

Clean, quiet, affordable, and a lovely owner
Facilities are basic but that was all expected before booking. Other than that, it was a good stay!

I enjoyed my stay at Lazy Bones. They have a really nice garden and it is so nice to just chill there. The dorm was okay. The owner is really nice and helpfull!
I had an unwanted visit of some animals in the dorm. But to be fair it‘s on an island so close to the jungle.

Very nice and cool people, lovely nature, sea, all restaurants and stuff are literally 1 min walk.
Location of this hostel - M PAI Bay is perfect for couples or someone who looking for peace. But for me it was just boring. To closer party place - 15$ and 20-40min on the boat to other island. If you're lucky, because if weather is bad - you're stuck. I expected room, but got something between doghouse and ten - 4m² under triangle roof, mattress on the floor, fan, lovely lights. Still not that bad for 15$/night during end of December. It's ain't bad, but you're definitely will not bring someone here, if you planning to. In total - I think owner should just add proper photos of this "room" to his booking, because me, and I think not only me expected other room

Very friendly place with family atmosphere and chilled space. A bit hidden from the night rush but still in a centrum of the village. The owner and his wife are very kind and both speak English. Their home food was extraordinary and fresh coconut from their tree served with metal straw was our daily dessert. They have also cozy outdoor bar in a wooden style. I would definitely come here again.
Every time we met them they had some honest and warm smiles for us and were happy to help us with everything needed for some paradise days.

Nice Place to stay :) nice owner and stuff. it’s closed to beach but you have your own private green Paradies. I like to wake up and see so much green and do yoga. I want to come back

Very warm welcome by the owner! Told us where to find everything in village, from laundry to where to by either local (2usd breakfast) or western (5-8usd) breakfast. Nice and well maintained garden to hang around in, clean rooms. Can definitely recommend this place for a calm and nice stay in M'Pai Bay! Loved it here.
No curtains.

loved the chilled and laid back atmosphere! perfect vibe to really give you a taste of island life! nice communal area to hang out too if you need to escape the sun for a while! feels so welcoming! big shout out to the owner too! he’s always about and good guy!
we didn’t mind it cause it was so hot - but just be aware the showers are cold! we actually grew to love the cold showers! they were deffo needed!

there really isn’t anything to dislike about this hostel. the owner is extremely friendly and helpful and he is someone you can go to for advice and if you need help he is happy to provide it. He built the property himself and you can see the genuine affection and live he has for this property and the part of this island that it is located in.

This place was so great, ran by the loveliest man and his family, really chill and welcoming atmosphere and the place is just gorgeous. Lots of mango trees and nature, hammocks, a good chill out area, is quiet and the location is great too, so close to the pier, beach and local restaurants
The owner made me feel very welcome and was super friendly and chatty. I had a private room and I fell in love as soon as I saw it. You have your own little triangle hut with a balcony!
Was only going to stay 2 nights and explore the other bays on the island but ended up staying for 5 days!
The toilets and showers are basic but what can you expect on a tiny little island!

Lazy Bones is situated in a nice little village in M'Paibay which is the perfect place to wind down and relax. A very nice community of people, good restaurants and you can either just chill and have a beer or also go out kayaking or hiking to the next bay. Lazy Bones has a nice communal area with comfortable chairs and you can sleep in nice little huts. Issan the owner is very friendly and fun and gives good recommendations and advice for your trip organization. We came for three nights and stayed six :)

My friends and I had a wonderful time here. Beautiful property, nice common area, good recommendations from host, super close to the beach yet a bit secluded. Will definitely be back!

The bed was clean with comfy pillows and was comfortable as well as a mosquito net. The beach was a short walk away enough so that the wind wasnt annoying.
They could mention to bring your own toiletries, which I dont mind at all.

Great location, close to the beach and good restaurants/bars. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Room was basic but comfortable with a decent shower and a good fan
No lock on our room door - apparently previous guest had taken the key and locks hadn't been replaced yet. Apparently theft is really uncommon/unlikely, but didn't feel totally comfortable leaving our stuff in the room unattended. Would be good if there were lockers available onsite to store any valuables.

We booked a room on such short notice but the host was extremely responsive, answering all our questions. He was helpful all throughout our stay, with recommendations on where to go for scrumptious meals. The property is at a rebuilding stage and it is obvious that these efforts will only add more value to this lovely place. :)
Nothing, really. We enjoyed our stay at Lazy Bones. :)

Owner was nice, he helped us find good spots for snorkeling. Rooms were clean and the owner let us upgrade our room when we arrived.
Shower pressure was non-existent in the common areas and private showers and the water heater rarely worked so we had to take cold showers. We were never told we had to pay for water refills, and when we checked out the front desk girl double charged us for a tea and made us pay for a beer we never ordered. Unfortunately we were running late for our ferry so didn't have time to dispute the charges.

We had a really great time at Lazy Bones. The owner is very friendly and helpful, he made us feel at home. The community areas are cozy, nice to have a drink or dinner there. And his hummus is amazing!

Parfait...une expérience hors du commun. Perfect place, hospitality and generosity. I highly recommend this guest house in the heart of pure nature, ideal for recharging one's batteries and possibly meeting people : the lounge area and common areas are ultra comfortable. My bungalow was like a wooden cabin, spacious and functional, very well appointed, with many electrical outlets and a fan as well as a king size bed. Beautiful, very quiet and clean place. A magical and literally exotic island... a magnificent beach... The owner is a intelligent and kind man who has lived several lives and his anecodotes are always interesting. In addition, he is multilingual. His cuisine is perfectionist and patient: he takes great care of his guests, you feel privileged. I had booked for 2 nights, made friends and stayed for almost 2 weeks ... my best experience in Cambodia. Sublime memories for the rest of my life. Thank you Ihsan. Tu as toute ma reconnaissance.
