Very helpful boss lady, she recommended places we should see and was extremely generous with her service, even went to the fruit market to buy us local seasonal fruit (as my son was suffering mid high altitude symptoms, had not much appetite). There are lots of accommodation to choose from in the old town, you won't be disappointed with this one.
The signage to the place could be a bit more visible.

The design is quite nice.
The bathroom shower was constantly clogging. The staff didn’t speak any English and for at least one of them made no effort to help and even laughed at us for not speaking Chinese. The breakfast was barely eatable and overall we don’t think is worth the money considering is an option much more expensive than any other in the same area. In the end only the design pays for it.

The Hotel is actually nice, the design is good and the rooms are comfortable.
The staff is willing to help you bring the luggage to the second floor, especially the male guy was kind.
Unfortunately, the breakfast was nothing special (from a western point of view) and the breakfast area was quite dirty and sticky. We asked the staff to clean but they've only used paper without any cleaning solution because they didn't have any they said.
What troubled me a lot during my recent stay is the closeness to a firefighters station. 5 AM -ish they pumped up on the stereo a kind of national anthem and it was repeated 3 times until 7 AM, in addition to this I could hear from my bed the noisy firefighters while performing a kind of morning physical training.

Design and location . Staff are nice.
BF was not good kitchen was not clean, dearty table and spoon with knife. i eat second day outside. No good options for western food. No iron for clothes.

Great staff! Extremely helpful despite your occasional language barrier...

The aesthetic of the property is like a muji store but also gives the impression of a Japanese spa. This really gave me a relaxed and zen vibe that was really needed after a few days in the mountains. The staff was warm and welcoming and the bed was super comfortable. I wasn’t sure but it seemed like you could turn the shower into a sauna. The heated floors were also a delightful aspect in the room.
Although the property was outfitted well, the layout was a bit of a baffle. I think they used the space as well as they could but it was a bit awkward that the bathroom had a gap and from certain locations, other people in the room could see. Also, I wish the bathroom walls extended to the ceiling to help with sound.

The hotel is nicely designed and comfortable. The staff was super nice and helpful, speaking very good English. The breakfast was very tasty. In the evening we were served delicious Yunnan tea.

Nice location for this hotel. The breakfast was good.
The weather was cold during my stay, and the room is not very well isolated. Good thing there was air conditioning to heat the room + an electric blanket.

The employees were absolutely amazing people! When we arrived, they noticed that my wife has shortness of breath, so they asked if we were okay, wife had a little high altitude sickness, they immediately told us to take a sit and then went to the kitchen to bring us some ginger sweet tea which really really helped!
They were very friendly throughout our stay, especially Meimei, who we think is the manager of the property. She was very patient throughout our many questions.
I would encourage you to speak to them about your travel needs, they can introduce many good places to visit and travel! They do have a driver there that'll take you around, of course, for a fee! But way better than potentially getting ripped off from the other tourist agency.
Nothing!!
