About this house rental

This home is our home away from home. We recently just did several updates to the entire house inside and out. It is very welcoming and cozy. The view of the lake is very relaxing which water can be seen from the three sides of the house. You can fish, float or swim off the dock. You can layout, swing and BBQ while watching the sunrise and sunset on the oversized deck. Come and enjoy my favorite home away from home.

This home is so amazing. To start off the Property Manager was such a easy person to deal and communicate with. Check-in was fast and simple. The home is huge and can sleep so many people comfortable. The inside was very comfortable with large solid furniture and beds.... 3 KING beds plus the beds on the 3rd floor. Because the home is on the lake the views off the huge back deck are amazing. Being able to actually access the water on its own dock was a blessing as well. Will be staying here again...

We were in town with our grown children to attend a dear family friends wedding at the Lumiere venue less than two miles away. What a beautiful day. The home is stocked with everything one might need! Beds were comfortable and the home was spotless. It has an amazing deck and a great water view. Want to come back!

Great stay, only dissatisfied with pool situation. Paid extra money to use pool, pool closed Mondays, then community pool for teens/adults was broke. Would not let 13 year old swim in adult pool with family. He would have to swim in the kiddie pool, 1foot water. Per the community rules/enforcers. Other than great time, swam in the lake, fished off dock. Enjoyed the home.

Not sure I need to say much more other than I got home and tried to rebook the same place. Unfortunately it was not available for the dates we were looking for. The description was 100% spot on and the place was very clean. My only downside is I had to board my Mini Aussie because they don't allow pets. I understand but still it's my only negative!

We made a vow to come back for our anniversary if we are able! Alison Durkee and her husband are a joy! We had family members come and visit throughout our stay and there was plenty of room! Beds were comfy and every family member expressed that they had a great time! Great vibes and my family is well traveled!! We made friends with the neighbors and not to mention the sunrise was immaculate. The fishing was also just as awesome❤

Very nice and calming place

It is a very calming and relaxing place with all you need at your disposal. The only thing that caught us by surprise was not the normal house or hotel type property rules. Which was not a problem if they listed it at the time of booking so we would be prepared. We had to go to pick up some paper towels to replace half-used paper towels due to the rules. I am not sure if that was due to covid-19 and shortage or general rule. But we loved the place view and enjoyed our stay. I would recommend the place. One last thing is the house is lake front but pretty close neighbors.

This property was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday with a group of friends and keep a social distance from the rest of the world. Any questions I had, Allison was right there to answer them immediately. The rooms were big and the beds were too comfortable. If I gave all the compliments I felt the need to share, this post would go on forever. This is my second trip to the lake and I’m already planning my next visit. The security and neighbors at April Sounds were so warm and inviting!

Pictures don’t do it justice. Great downstairs layout. One big open room. Gorgeous master with great views! Everything we needed was at this property. Owner responded to our questions immediately. Deck was great to sit outside and have a glass of wine with plenty of very nice patio furniture to choose from. Will definitely book this house in the future. Can’t believe the great price! Definitely get a lot of bang for your buck here.

Our Family Vacation

Our Family Vacation

The lake house is beautiful and spacious. We had 9 adults and 6 children (13 yrs - 1yr) in the home and we were very comfortable. Downstairs in the kitchen, dining and living area is where each morning we were all able to enjoy each other's company while having breakfast and still have plenty of space to move around. I loved the kitchen! It is big and well stocked with everything you need to cook with and the ovens are large and kept very clean. The bedrooms were perfect for families to have privacy, and the view from the Master bedroom is magnificent and we enjoyed using the jacuzzi bathtub! The yard is nicely kept (green and plush), our granddaughters practiced their gymnastics on it and our grandsons played catch. The lake was wonderful, we went boating and the owners were gracious and let us use their water pull toy for the kids - and adults! We had a blast. We went swimming in the lake and also used the subdivision’s swimming pools. The deck was outstanding (plenty of chairs to use), my daughters sunbathed using the lounge chairs, and we used the swing on the deck to rock the baby. We barbequed and had fun just hanging out on the deck. We really enjoyed the use of the boat slip and ease of jumping in the boat and taking off. My grandchildren fished off the backyard boat deck and caught a few good size catfish and my husband and sons set a trout line and caught some huge catfish. We had a fish fry one night and then I baked some fish another night to have 2 great meals straight from lake Conroe! Everyone was very nice around the area and there are convenient stores, Wal-Mart and H.E.B nearby. We even went bowling one night. I am putting an album together of our family vacation using this lake house and hope others will find it just as wonderful as we did!

Had a wonderful time!! House was large and very well appointed - kitchen had plenty of utensils and linens. Yard goes right down to pier and water. Extra boat slip was perfect for our boat. Deck is very large with lake view - lots of outdoor furniture for our family to dine outdoors. House is in April Sound subdivision with access to pool, tennis courts, and golf course at country club. Can call club ahead and get free pool passes if renting. Definitely would rent again and recommend to friends!!

Just wanted to write and say you have a wonderful house in April Sound. My family stayed at your place over the weekend April 1st, and 2nd to attend my son’s first birthday party. The house is in an excellent location and very well appointed and suited our needs perfectly. Beautiful property and was just as the listing described. The listing photos were accurate but the property is a must see as it is better than the photos can truly represent. The owners were quite helpful and we would highly recommend this property as the place to stay while in Mongtomery Texas. We were close to great restaurants however we suggest you shop at the local grocery store and dine in while you enjoy the view of the water. This has to be one of Montgomery's best kept secrets for lodging.
