This island home is located steps away from the best beach on Galveston Island. Enjoy the stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico and sunsets over Galveston Bay. "Changes in Latitudes" is part of the Pointe West community which includes a private beach club. The beach club features an infinity pool, full restaurant, pool-side bar, gym, gift shop, game room, lazy river and much more. World class fishing is right around every corner (Gulf Coast surf fishing, San Luis Pass, Galveston Bay). Some of the best shelling on the island is also steps away. Come enjoy all that island life has to offer in Galveston island's premier community.

Changes in Latitudes is tastefully decorated, 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom home in the exclusive and luxurious Pointe West resort located on the West end of Galveston island. This is a family friendly home steps away from the private beach walkover. The home has 2 large private balconies with outstanding views of the Gulf of Mexico and community lagoons.

The home has 3 king sized beds and another bedroom with two bunk beds. Linens are included with the rental.

The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped and features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. In addition to all of the basics, the kitchen has many extras (e.g., large serving platters, large griddle, crock pot, Keurig Coffee maker, regular coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, wine bottle opener, toaster and waffle iron).

There are 5 Smart TV’s. The home also has a washer/dryer and has high speed internet access. Below the house are charcoal BBQ grills and a cabana shower to rinse off after a great day at the beach. There are also two picnic tables below the home. It's a great place to unwind and after a day at the beach or beach club. Also a nice location for cocktail hour.

Both balconies have fantastic views of the beach, lagoons, large palm trees and the beautiful Pointe West community. The lower balcony has plenty of brand new adirondack furniture (captain's chairs and table), the perfect place to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner and soak in the views. The upper balcony of off of the master bedroom is equipped with brand new adirondack lounge chairs and a bistro table and chairs, a great spot for your morning sunrise cup of coffee.

Guests are as close as you can get to the community private beach crossover which leads to beautifully groomed and wide beaches, the best on the island. Guests may also enjoy the many amenities that the Pointe West resort has to offer. Wristbands for the amenities are $25 per person, children age 3 and under are free, and are good for the duration of your stay. Amenities include, infinity edge pool overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, hot tub, lazy river pool, children's pools, game room, fitness facility, poolside bar, restaurant and resort activities.

There are many options for fishing at Pointe West. Guests can surf fish, right at the beach. San Luis Pass also offers world-class surf fishing and Galveston Bay offers many wade fishing options right off of the Pointe West property. The community also has a fishing pier on the bay side of the resort.

If you like shelling, some of the best on the island is available at Pointe West. Conch shells, Scallop shells, oysters, sand dollars, etc. are not uncommon.

Right across the street from beach access - we didn't even wear shoes from the house to the ramp. House had everything you need except for toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash & lotion), so be sure to pack. All beach gear (even boogie boards) was nicely organized in the outdoor closet, and property owner had beach towels available to use, adding to the convenience. Brenda (owner) was very communicative and responsive, and it was evident that she was invested in giving renters a great experience. Recommend this property!

Brenda is an awesome host. Communication was always timely and detailed. The house is extremely well stocked and well kept up. Beach is just a short walk away, but if pools are more your thing I highly suggest you rent a golf cart or load up your people in cars as it is quite a hike to either pool area. Over all A++++

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Changes In Latitudes! The home is in a wonderful neighborhood in Pointe West - beautiful ocean views from both balconies, and easy beach access. The walkway to the beach is just a few steps from the house. The beach in this area does not allow vehicles - so it's very quiet and peaceful for long walks. The home is fantastic and Brenda was very communicative and accessible. Another plus is access to the Pointe West Beach Club - nice pools, lazy river for the kids, and a great restaurant/bar. Highly recommend this property and location to anyone.

Our family stayed at this beautiful home. It was within steps of the ocean. The views from the decks are incredible. Brenda was very accessible and available anytime you contacted her. The home had plenty of necessary supplies. We had everything we needed! It was decorated beautifully and immaculately clean. This was truly the best home we have ever stayed at through VRBO. The neighborhood looked like a picture perfect beautiful little coastal community. We loved the amenities made available through Pointe West club as well. After this experience, we will always request to stay at Changes in Lattitude when we visit this area. It was our best experience anywhere! Thank you!!

Chnages in Latitude was a great house. It was clean and well stocked. Bed were all very comfortable. The extra beach toys and supplies were an awesome added bonus. The location is perfect with very quick access to the beach and a quick golf cart ride to the club amenities. Communication with Brenda was smooth and easy. My kids loved all the real pictures in the home too. We have never stayed this far west on the island but we really enjoyed it!

The property had everything even a panini maker! Our family throughly enjoyed our time together relaxing and Brenda ( property owner) was amazing!! I had just come out of having a double mastectomy and really did not want to miss our family reunion and it was the perfect house for me to relax , take in the beautiful sunsets and view of the water . We got to spend some quality family time together. The house is so comfortable . We will be back next year!

This house is exactly as pictured and described. The owner Brenda is amazing and so welcoming. This neighborhood could be out of a movie. It is perfect and so relaxing and quiet. Quick and easy access to the beach. My entire family raved about the house and our vacation. They have everything at this house that you could need while on vacation. We will definitely be back!

Everything was exactly as described in the posting, and it was clean, bright, and welcoming. The balconies were amazing for any time of day! Brenda was incredibly helpful with all of our questions and always responded in a timely manner. The beach was just steps away, and the provided wagon and chairs were perfect. The property was just as lovely as the listing photos. Everything we needed was there, from beach gear to a high chair to a fully functional kitchen (with two coffee makers.) The neighborhood was clean and quiet, had great access to the beach and there are pools that can be accessed for a small additional fee. The owner's communication was exceptional!

We came for spring break, and it was perfect for our group. I do wish the restaurant had been open, but that couldn’t be helped. The house was lovely, and Brenda answered all our questions promptly. We would definitely return.

Property was well-maintained and wonderfully located. We stay on the west end between Christmas and New Year each year - we were impressed that this was the first time we experienced Christmas decorations (nice ones!) at a property there. This was a nice touch as my immediate family was extending our holiday and exchanged gifts during our stay. Kitchen was well-stocked. We had plenty of space for both group and solo time/activities. Everyone enjoyed the setting and felt comfortable and engaged. Brenda was responsive and the home was nicely decorated. The only complaints we had were not on the host - it was a foggy/humid weekend (it happens) and there were decidedly over-zealous fireworks celebrants during the weekend. Overall a great time for my family.

Beautiful home just south of Galveston, away from the bustling crowds, and located in a planned beachside community. This home is equipped with everything a family could need: plenty of kitchen supplies for cooking and grilling, books, toys and games, even a pack-n-play and high chair for the little one. The gracious hosts have thought of everything to make a family vacation fun and memorable. Loved the outdoor shower for cleaning up children and toys after an afternoon at the beach.

This is a wonderful property. We’ll furnished with everything needed for a great vacation. Our grandkids loved that it was so close to the beach. The kitchen is well equipped and stocked with supplies if you plan on cooking meals while you’re there. Highly recommend for a family get together!

My friends and I absolutely loved this rental. The king size beds were incredible as myself and 2 other friends are currently pregnant . The convenience of the boardwalk being right across from the beach house made it easy to take our 4 year old down to the beach for the morning, back up for lunch, and then plenty of time to hit the resort for the afternoon at the pool. We had a couple of questions during our visit and Brenda was quick to get back to us. Would stay here again and recommend to family and friends!

We had such a great stay in Galveston. The place was beautiful, clean and stocked with just about anything you could want (and more!). The location was perfect. Brenda was one of the most communicative owners I've experienced.
