Very satisfied with our holiday house, however we had a problem after using the dishwasher when we found a puddle of water inside which seemed to indicate a blockage somewhere in the pipework, we called 2 phone numbers and left voice mail and text message but received no replys, when leaving the property we left a message in the kitchen to explain what had happened.

The views from the house were outstanding, with many villages and towns to visit within a short drive. The property was a bit difficult to find around the narrow roads and lanes even with a GPS, The house was very comfortable and peaceful in a lovely location overlooking the hills and valleys. The small terrace with table and seating at the front entrance would have been a feature but really needed TLC. Overall it was a lovely peaceful stay in a delightful location.

We really enjoyed our holiday in Mount Cottage as a familiy with grown-up children. It is spacious, cosy and well-equipped, and it has been the first holiday home ever with enough light to read in the evenings! The views from all of the windows are great (and a visit to the Dominican priory in sight on the other side of the valley a "must" - just lovely), and the views from Minchinhampton and Rodborough Common on the hilltop, all within walking distance, fantastic. There is so much to do: walking, running, visiting the well known Cotswolds highlights, but also wonderful places that escape most guidebooks like Fairford or Selsley. We will definitely be back!

Perfect for a tranquil and serene holiday with amazing views. Well stocked and comfortable cottage. Spent most of our time on the patio overlooking the view. Good location and not far from many of the recommended Cotswolds sights. An excellent place to chill out and enjoy the surrounding nature.

We really enjoyed our stay at this home, the location as well as the cottage itself were great. Lots of room inside the cottage when the weather is not so great, but also the surroundings have many opportunities for walks and sightseeing.

We really enjoyed our week at Mount Cottage. The view over the valley is excellent, from every window and the patio. The kitchen is spacious and of course has the same view, with even more panorama. The living room and the library both have lots of comfortable seating. Parking was always available on the road very near the cottage.
It's an easy walk down to Nailsworth, though not surprisingly the walk back up with a bag or two of groceries is a bit harder. The cycle trail heading north from Nailsworth is excellent for walking: level, well surfaced, and shady enough to be cool on hot days.
We had a great time, and hope to be able to come back soon.

We knew the view was going to be beautiful but on arrival, it did take our breath away. The house was lovely and well equipped and really cosy. We were thrilled to have found a lovely gem of a place! Cathy was very kind and helpful. Thank you for sharing a stunning home!

Absolutely great and beautiful location. Property very well equipped. Some areas and furniture need a little attention but didn't detract from us enjoying ourselves.

We spent a perfect couple of days. Very spatious house, quiet neighbourhood, beautiful walks possible starting at the doorstep. The communication with Cathy, our host, went very well. Highly recommended, we hope to return here sometime.

Thoroughly enjoyed our short visit to the cottage. It was clean and roomy with good facilities. The views from the cottage were beautiful overlooking the Nailsworth valley.
The parking was tight on the adjacent road but never failed to get a space close to the house.

My friend and I stayed here whilst attending a course in Stroud. What we liked most was the beautiful garden, well equipped kitchen and peaceful surroundings. Lovely views from the kitchen diner for breakfast. Beds were comfortable and there was loads of space. What we struggled with was finding the cottage in the dark. The directions given were comprehensive however navigating the tiny lanes of the villages was really confusing in the dark so I’d recommend you get there in the light if you can ! I’d really recommend staying here. It was great.

We had a great week end break in the Cotswolds. The property is closely located to many National Trusts places, so plenty of walks and sightseeings for the whole family. The cottage is very cosy, very well equipped and offers stunning views, especially in the morning and at sunset. Ideal for relaxing

A very pretty house, super comfortable, with an amazing view. We were a party of 5; 2 children and 3 adults, and the place was just great.
Kathy replied always promptly and was very helpful.
The view from the kitchen was simply stunning! Even though it was cosier and more comfortable to sit in the living room, I prefer to sit by the kitchen's large window, just enjoying the view. I couldn't recommend it more!

Really enjoyed our stay. We spent a few days writing songs and recording a new album for Ivan Campo and sadly didn't get to do much walking in the area. The cottage had everything we needed and is very comfortable. Would highly recommend, even for just the views!

The only criticism I have is the quality of the Wi-Fi. It could be due to the location of the cottage, but the internet connection was very slow and the Wi-Fi coverage across the cottage was poor.
4.7
The cottage was in a stunningly beautiful location. We loved the breakfast room and patio panoramic views. The cottage was perfect for us with a well-stocked kitchen and amply-furnished rooms. Excellent.

We only slept at the property, as we were in England for a family funeral and spent our days at the family's house and only returned to the property late in the evening . The kitchen was well equipped but it was disappointing that there was no basics supplied e.g. milk, butter, salt and pepper for breakfast.
4.7
The property has everything you could need plus lovely views in a quiet location. We had a lovely long weekend together. There were even a hot air balloons floating by early in the morning.
The on road parking is also not a problem in this location.

Nice spacious house, the kitchen is large and well equipped with a gorgeous view. Only thing I would say is that unfortunately the cleanliness could have been better and considering the price per night, there should be at least some bread and milk for guests upon arrival. It's peaceful and a great location nonetheless, Tetbury was easy to get to by car.
4.7
The space was great for the family, quiet area, peaceful. Good value for money. The view is amazing.
Finding the cottage was a bad experience. It took me 30 minutes going from door to door to check the location. The streets nearby are very narrow difficult to park especially if you have a large car. The beds are not that comfortable. The cottage could have been in a better shape and cleanliness.

We were visiting from the United States to see my father in law and wife’s extended family with our two young daughters. We have been to Nailsworth and the surrounding areas several times but we’ve never been lucky enough to stay at such a lovely cottage. The views from the patio and dining room are stunning. We didn’t miss a sunset the entire week. Our girls had an amazing time playing on the patio, in the garden and in the house all week. The house isn’t the most modern but don’t overlook it…I don’t think you could find a better view at sunset in the area. Will not hesitate to book again on our next visit.

This is a lovely house with stunning views. The house itself has an amazing kitchen diner, very well equipped and spacious. We enjoyed many walks up and down the hills! Morrisons is a short drive or walk down the hill. We ate Sunday lunch at the Amberley Inn (up the hill) and would highly recommend it. All in all, we had a great stay and would recommend!

The Cottage is spacious and bright, with amazing views. It was good for a family get together. A good area for walking, as long as you are all good at hills! We enjoyed Sunday lunch at the Amberley Inn.

Inspiring and beautiful place
A friend and I decided to go away for a few days to do songwriting for an album we are working on. We wanted somewhere that would be inspiring, of a reasonable size, detached from neighbouring properties and easy parking. This cottage fitted the bill perfectly. It was much bigger than it appeared from the photos (it's usually the opposite) so we had plenty of space for the two of us. It would be ample room for 6 too.
The scenery from the large kitchen diner window was breathtaking. The cottage has everything you could need and had plenty of character, especially with the log fire blazing.
We both enjoyed our time there immensely and came away with 14 songs towards the album. Sadly though, my friend passed away unexpectedly a week after we returned home, so we'll never get to visit again or finish the album. I'm glad some of my last memories of him were at that cottage in such beautiful surroundings, songwriting.

Wonderful few days in a stunning part of the world with amazing views from almost all rooms in the house! Not as near Minchinhampton as suggested (5 min drive not walk!) but wonderful walks - to Minchinhampton and beyond.

We were so lucky to stumble across this cottage which had availability only due to a last-minute cancellation. It was just perfect for us - very homely, well-equipped kitchen, warm and cosy, comfy beds.... with a view to die for! I could happily live here, but put your walking shoes on - the hills are steep and you need to be fit. Might need a 4 wheel drive to come in the ice, but I would love to go back again.

Lovely place and location, great communication with the owner as our stay got cut short with the lockdown. Great views over the valley and it was lovely to watch the mist gathering in the morning. Property has plenty of space and all the kitchen essentials for a rental property. Central Heating kept the place warm and the open fire was a bonus. (Made a change for us to sit indoors with a fire)We will return as we have connections in the area.Graeme
