La posizione e l’ambientazione.

Il livello del servizio offerto dal personale non in rapporto con il prezzo (scarsa professionalità). Vuole sembrare un ambiente raffinato ma non lo è per niente. Adatto a stranieri che non conoscono la Toscana. Cena imbarazzante: 45 euro per menu fisso con aperitivo e due portate banali con un dolce, vino escluso. Il tutto con effetto mensa in quanto gli ospiti erano forzatamente accomodati su un unico tavolo.

Idyllic Tuscan getaway.

There is no doubt that this is the most beautiful place. The setting is absolutely breathtakingly idyllic and charmingly rustic. The food was delicious and the kitchen was the Tuscan farmhouse kitchen of dreams. Dave the owner was so helpful in answering every question and went above and beyond as were the rest of the staff. The rooms were comfortable and spacious.

In this day and age, in 35+ degree heat, aircon really is essential, regardless of whether it detracts from the authentic nature of the property. Although our stay was really wonderful, the lack of sleep due to the extreme temperatures in the bedrooms at night definitely detracted from the overall enjoyment.

Eén écht groot minpunt: geen airco op de kamers, men is behulpzaam met ventilatoren maar dat werkt niet. Het is er ‘s nachts bloedheet. Je kan ook geen enkel drankje koel houden, een koelkastje op de kamer zou een mooi pluspunt zijn

Sehr schöner Bauerhof mit netten Personal in ruhiger Lage. Rundum einfach Top !

Ruhige Lage inmitten der Toskana. Ich komme wieder.

Beim Check in vor uns wurde ein Paar (vom Aussehen vermutl. indischer Abstammung) mit der Frage konfrontiert ob sie für das Abenddinner reserviert hätten. Sie verneinten und wurden abgewiesen mit dem Kommentar das es für sie kein Abendessen gibt! Wir waren die nächsten beim Checkin und uns wurde das Abenddinner (mehrere Gänge) angeboten. Glück für uns. Aber nicht korrenkt im Umgang mit Menschen anderer Herkunft.

Un petit havre de paix et un moment extra

Le cadre vraiment extra plus qu'un séjour dans un hôtel, une expérience (si vous prenez le repas) possible de prendre le repas le soir (45€ par personnes avec un super apéro compris). Une super ambiance, une vraie expérience, avec l'impression d'être invité par des amis. On a passé un super moment (du coup, on a repris le repas le lendemain - on est resté 2 nuits), Je vous recommande cette étape si vous envisagez de prendre avec le repas

Sensational stay in a beautiful location.

We had a sensational stay. The place was amazing, the views great and the food sensational. The staff were very attentive. Highly recommend both the dinner and the cooking class.

La collazione era una delle migliori che ho trovato nel mio giro per la Toscana, tutti prodotti freschi e fatti da loro e lo staff era super gentile. E andare a raccogliere le uova al mattino è stata una idea molto apprezzata e che le mie bimbe hanno adorato. Grazie per la vostra gentilezza e professionalità.

over rated and over priced stay

lanscape view and breakfast were good

dinner was higly overpriced and there was nothing special about the food. we ate Fiorentina steak for 65 Eur per person and at the end it was a very salty mediocre steak. room was not comfortable and very hot even the outside temperatute was 24 and raining

Maybe more choices on the wine list. No white wine at all (except the house wine). This must be definetely improved.

Best dinner in a beautiful Tuscany scenery

We stayed 2 nights and had 1 dinner here, and now I think we should have stayed more nights here and had dinner for all nights during our stay. All the staff were super kind and professional, the food was really fresh. And it has breathtaking view of Tuscany field where you can enjoy from the front yard. What we agreed unanimously was that among all the dinners we have had during our 3 week vacation from Swotzerland to Italy, dinner here was the best in terms of beautiful sun set over the golden field, lively chattet with other friendly guests, entertaining and soothing music from the speaker, and delicious food made from fresh material. I miss there already.

When you have dinner in the yard, you'd better wear long trousers to protect your legs from the mosquitos. As South Koreans, we couldn't have long vacation and also had to fly long distance to Italy, so we tended to stay short nights in 1 place and move on. But this place deserves to stay longer nights to refreh you soul and body completely.

Very good

Beautiful, very scenic location. Lovely surroundings of olive groves and vegetable gardens. Great pool. Close to Pienza and Montepulciano. Brilliant breakfast. Evening meals are available for €40 per person and are very good. Friendly staff.

No air conditioning, extremely uncomfortable in the heat. Poor mattress.

Tuscan charm

The ambiance was peaceful and charming. The staff were super friendly. The location was perfect.

The pool could have been a little better maintained and should have a sign for no jumping (there were kids jumping and splashing up both times we went ). Also there was no water in the bathroom mid shower and took some time to be repairs but these things happen.

Spectacular setting!

This is a special place, for sure. Extremely nice staff, a decent pool, and spectacular setting. Great breakfast and a nice farm-to-table meal with a happy hour included right before.

I must say it might be a little expensive for the accommodation. The beds are a little uncomfortable and, of course, we came when it was over 100 degrees and there is no air conditioning. But the fans cooled us well enough. The second course of the dinner was a pretty bad piece of meat (pork butt). It was chewy. Someone got the Florentine steak (a specialty around here) and it was amazing so get that. We'd still come back!

All you need in Val’d Orcia is #PodereSpedalone

The delightful community dinner (including other guests and staff)starting with the “apertivo” facing the beautiful tuscan #sunset at #Val d’ Orcia. Wonderful staff with lovely food. The swimming pool is just the thing our son wanted after really hot summer day trips. The #archi room is highly recommended with entrance to the garden and view to the valley. Most important cities, wineries and view points are 10 to max 60 min drive from this place.

We liked everything about the property. Just to improve: The breakfast could be a bit more diverse and air conditioning the rooms could be a great relief in peak summer times.

Beautiful welcoming place to stay at and relax in while you explore the area.

Loved the outdoor sitting area and the view. The breakfast was fantastic! The staff were very friendly and I felt very welcomed and they made my stay feel special.

I wish there was air conditioning or an alternative would be a screen door so you could leave the door open and let the cool evening air in as the room was a little hot.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Podere Spedalone, it was one of our favorite experiences in Tuscany. We spent time in the pool and took part in their communal sunset dinner. Food was amazing, views were magical and staff became like family!

Tuscan beauty and luxury in splendid isolation

Amazing. So pretty. Lovely pool. Great food and company when we all ate together in the evenings. Wish we had stayed longer.

There was no aircon in our room: that's good from an environmental perspective so hurray... but our room (30) did get really stuffy and it was actually warmer than outside! It would have benefitted from a way to get the air circulating more than the two fans allowed. This is a really small point though cos we loved it and can't wait to go back!

The staff and chef were amazing!

The reception to this farm stay was exceptional and very friendly. They were very helpful.

Directions were not sufficient. We found it okay, but google maps took us to a bad road. If I had not read my emails before going, I wouldn't have found it.

I expected much more and even told my husband how i was looking to staying in that house. However, i left disappointed.

The location itself is very nice, rooms are clean and freshly renovated. Beautiful view. The atmosphere of the dinner together was very nice and friendly. There are chickens- interesting for kids!

1) We arrived at 16. We have asked for iron and ironing board, but the staff didn’t give to us due to “safety reasons”(?!). We have asked to send shirt and dress to laundry, but laundry persons was already out, and we were leaving the next morning (it was a one night location). So we were not given any options to resolve the problem. 2) there was a storm, and the electricity broke down. It was broken when we arrived, and wasn’t fixed until we left. Well, that happens, I understand. But we woke up at 7 am to diesel generator working loudly in the centre of central yard. There is kitchen, it is okay to cook breakfast BUT why don’t you put it somewhere, where you do the wake your guests up? 3) the price of the room was 270€. Normally for that price we would get 2 rooms connected in Tuscany (we were traveling with kids). In that location we got 1 room separated by 1 m high wall. 4) There were no windows to have any view on the valley, only two glass doors. If you open it to get fresh air (there is no conditioner -the house is old) it is kinda uncomfortable, because the door to your room is opened widely. Leaves no feeling of security and intimacy. 5) the price of any activity is 100€ per person. It is WAY too high. Cooking class, horse riding should cost less. 6) the dinner was the reason i booked the place - the atmosphere was great, however, the food was not very tasty, in my opinion. You would expect pizza to be flat, pasta to have any sauce except than meat and two tomatoes. The meat was nice because of the sauce, but it was mostly bones. The desert was not tasty at all ( amd i love cakes!) To sum up: I barely leave opinions here. But now I felt offended. I may sound too arrogant, but, in my opinion, for 270€ you expect a bit more than we got. I would say the price 150€ is more appropriate.
