About this house rental
Total remodel! Wood floors, 6 person hot tub, if you have stayed here before you won't even recognize the property now. Bedrooms were enlarged and more beds added to bedrooms 1 and 2. Go to Lake Ozark Vaca website to see more information and photos in greater detail.
The size and layout of this home is not easy to explain, but trust me when I say it has more room than any other waterfront rental in Tan Tar A/Margaritaville. The large gathering areas (3 separate living rooms) and 2 complete kitchens really let you spread out and enjoy the Lake, the home has a great flow to it, is not just 5 bedrooms and a bunch of stairs. Each level is just a half flight of stairs down from the other, with one private suite up by itself for privacy. Your lake view is truly mesmerizing, you will love watching the boats go by both night and day! The main level is walk in with no steps into the house for people with mobility issues. Fast internet, cable TV, and plenty of privacy to enjoy the hot tub and multiple decks.
Golf cart is included in rental for easy access to additional parking, pools, dock, etc. Pet friendly for smaller dogs. There is a 10x24 boat slip in a very protected cove just down the street. You may also fish from there and use the provided kayak and paddle board.
If you stayed here before and liked it, you will love it now! It has been remodeled with new furniture, bright, cheerful colors, and a new feel-good, breezy style nautical theme that goes well with the Margaritaville theme at Tan Tar A. Bedroom 1 has 3 full sized beds, each room has its own full bath. Bedroom 2 has 2 full beds and a bunk bed. Bedroom three has 2 full beds. Bedroom 4 is a king with plenty of room for temporary beds. Bedroom 5 is a king. There are 2 sleeper sofas located in 2 of the 3 living rooms.
You can go for a safe walk in the estates on the 5K trail or even better walk the golf cart paths of a 9 hole golf course that is closed down but still maintained daily. The golf cart is a great option for visiting the resort at Margaritaville and it's numerous activities.
Tan Tar A/Margaritaville is an amazing resort that is going through a complete face lift and change in attitude (changes in latitudes). Located on 420 scenic acres, Tan-Tar-A Resort is built for fun family recreation. Tee off on two championship golf courses, built for players of all skill levels. There are eight restaurants from fast food to fine dining and seafood. Escape and relax at the Windjammer Spa, a relaxing massage sounds nice, right? Try my favorite, the "Pure Luxury" package that includes a Manicure, Pedicure, 1 Hour Facial, Detox Whirlpool, Sea Salt Glow, Full Body Paraffin Wrap (4 hours). You are welcome to roam and enjoy the resort including outdoor pools, sandy beach, and dining options range from $5 burgers by the pool to fine dining on Ocean Fish and Duck a l'orange at the Windrose. The buffet at JB's boathouse is a quick and easy way to feed the family. The kids love the dessert bar! Some of my favorite things to do are to drive the golf cart to the Landshark Bar and enjoy a cocktail and appetizer, people watch at the Tiki Hut Pool bar (it has food as well) then stroll over the large shaded deck overlooking the Lake outside JB's Boathouse. Once you are done people watching, Golf Cart back to 51 Elbow cay and enjoy your own private home!
If it rains, go to Timber Falls Indoor Water park. It has over 600 feet of water slides, an over-sized whirlpool, and a lazy river for tubing, activity pool, and floating. There is a three-story wilderness treehouse with slides, water blasters, bridges, tunnels, and a safe and fun 600-gallon tipping bucket! You can also go bowling at the resort, the bowling alley has 8 lanes, 4 of which are set up for bumper bowling. The Bear's Den arcade is state of the art and you can exchange tickets for prizes. When the rain stops, go horseback riding or head to the full service marina for everything from paddle boarding to PWCs, even rent a boat for the day!
The area has many wineries, every dining option you could ask for, amazing fishing, outlet shopping, coffee shops, rental watersports many natural attractions like 2 state parks and multiple caves to explore. You can float rivers, ride horseback, there is even a casino 80 miles away for a day trip. You are by no means limited to the resort for your entertainment.
The new dining options at Tan Tar A are plentiful and include Frank & Lola’s Pizzeria & Billiards too (formerly The Food Court), with 12 beers on tap including Landshark, a simple menu of pizza, wings, sandwiches, and salads, six pool tables, two dart boards, shuffleboard, pinball, and arcade games. There will be a Tiki Bar at the Arrowhead Pool as another taste of Margaritaville’s tropical feel is added this year. JB's Boathouse Grill is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Of course this is just at the resort, there are numerous dining option both on the water and off in Osage Beach. Waterfront restaurants with pools include Redhead Yacht Club, Dogs Days, Backwater Jacks, and further away is Captain Rons. If you are craving Cajun food, Shorty Pants is less than 4 miles away or a very cheap Uber ride from this home. There is amazing dining and views from JB Hooks. A great view can be had from Shawnee Bluff Winery as well.
There is a private lakefront to fish, but no private dock at this time. the cove dock is much safer

Enjoyed the property and all to do in the area. Communication from property manager was excellent.

Needs a thorough cleaning. I left a list at the property. The decks, walkways, windows and screens need repaired. The Golf Cart ‘s alignment is off. The steering wheel wobbles. The grills need cleaned. Tubs don’t drain well and some of the faucets were hard to turn. Vents need cleaned. Various light bulbs need replace. Video game was broken. Mold seen in some of the shower heads and tub jets. White trim and woodwork need cleaned. One of the bedroom doors locked every time the door closed. Ice dispenser produced dirty ice sometimes. Found broken glass and clumps of dust under furniture .
The PROS: Golf cart, the separation of the suites for privacy and individual temp controls, The decorations, grill and decorations were nice and The View was great😊

We took 5 of our 8th grade students for their class trip, our school only goes to 8th grade! We always try to make it special and something they may never get to experience again and this location was above this for them! They had an amazing time and loved the hot tub! If we were to take another group there in the future this is where I would try to stay! It was clean, cool and enough space so nobody was bothering anyone else!

Overall, the property worked well for our family to spend Thanksgiving together. We were able to cook our traditional Thanksgiving dinner and eat together in the two dining rooms.

Accomodates family reunion of 24 and more for visiting, preparing meals with 2 kitchens, eating in 2 large dining rooms and outdoor tables and chairs, sleeping provisions excel in twin to king size beds including rollaways, sleeper sofs and futons. Excellent view on Lake.

House was great. Lots of room, and was very clean. My only complaint, and it’s a small one, was that the house was about 80° when we walked in. On an unseasonably warm day for September 30th, it was less than ideal to walk in to that heat. The first hour, until we got it cooled down, was BRUTAL. Understandable to have it higher than normal, but to not have it on at all was a shock. There was also no checkout folder, so we were left to guess exactly what the expectations were when we left.

The host was very responsive, the house was on the lake. A pool wax nearby. The home was perfect for multi family fun together while offering privacy and alone time when wished. The upstairs deck was perfect for early morning coffee, lake watching, and bird sounds!

This is a great lake house for a family vacation. Having separate areas for each family was so wonderful and the common areas were large enough to accommodate all. The large outdoor deck with two big tables made for easy eating. The owner was very attentive to our needs. We rented a pontoon and utilized the multiple swimming pools available to us.

We had a wonderful family vacation!

Girl's Weekend
This is a beautiful property. So much room! The bedrooms are huge. It is beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the hot tub, the evening sunsets, morning coffee on the deck. Very impressed by the owner's dedication to meet our needs. We asked if there was a Kuerig available, there wasn't at the time. Shortly after our arrival there was a knock on the door and a brand new Kuerig was sitting on the porch. Very nice! Would definitely recommend this property.

Incredible lakefront home
This place was great! We had plenty of space for a group of 6. The back patio and dock is where we spent a majority of our time. Amazing views and perfect place to swim! Kayaks were provided for additional fun on the water! John was a great host and very attentive to any questions we had:)

Great Place!!
We loved staying at this place. Secluded in the perfect area, the views were incredible, our favorite was the patio and dock. We had so much fun with the diving board, slide, and tower. we couldn’t have asked for a better stay and communication with the owner was also great. He answered all of my questions that I had, we had a great time!

Perfect place for a fun family reunion
The house was perfect for our group of 10 adults, 6 kids, and two small dogs. There was more than enough space for all of us to spend time together or get some time alone as needed. The house is beautifully decorated and clean with a perfect view and lake access for swimming. We would highly recommend some kind of water shoes as it's pretty rocky trying to get in and out of the water and we had a few abrasions getting in and out. We loved having the golf cart to drive around the resort and enjoyed the community pool as well.
There was strangely no place to hang a wet towel. No towel bars (or even hooks or rings for hand towels) in the bathrooms. Between swimming in the lake and showering afterward we ended up with a lot of wet towels and no place to hang them to dry.
Overall we would definitely recommend this house for your group and would stay again!

PWC Perfection
This house was perfect for launching our PWCs. The ramp is a bit narrow and steep but a skilled driver can pull it off without issue. The dock has two slips that held our 12 foot Seadoos securely. Plenty of room for the 24 foot boat we rented as well. The house is clean and comfortable. It was 100 degrees everyday we were there and the house stayed cool at 72. Make sure you follow the thermostat directions, if you try to crank the air the compressor will shut off. Kitchen had everything we needed except coffee filters. Comfortable beds, plenty of towels and extra linens. Excellent location on a quiet and calm part of the lake. We even got a visit from the ice cream boat! We will return.

Stunning views and huge home
We recently stayed for a long weekend to celebrate our son's wedding. The house is as described and is nicely decorated. The owners were easy to communicate with, but the property definitely was not prepped for our stay. Decks were filthy and no one checked to make sure that the showers all worked. We had to dig out cushions for the deck from a closet downstairs and find towels for all the bathrooms. It's a nice place, but the prep for our stay just wasn't there.

More than enough space for our group
The house was more than spacious for our group of 8 and overall it was a great place to stay over Christmas. Upon arrival there were some light bulbs out or missing, and John came to fix them that same evening after we contacted him. Coffee maker didn't work on our first morning there and John came back to the house again to bring us a new one. John always answered his phone and addressed our issues but it was a little disappointing that some of the other issues previous renters have mentioned still have not been addressed, like the large heavy kitchen drawer that has a broken track and almost falls out on your feet if you don't catch it. Additionally, the kitchen needs a good refresh of pots and pans. We were cooking Christmas Eve and Christmas Day meals and had to prewash a lot of the pots and pans because they had "gunk" in them and many seemed very old and were in pretty bad shape.

Thanksgiving
House excellent accommodation for a family. Son with 7 month old and 2 +8 months used lower level king with kitchen and living room, daughter and her husband and two dogs slept in other lower level king bedroom. I slept in main level room with 2 double beds. Granddaughters 9,12,16 slept in upper level bedroom with 3 double beds. Utilized other main level bedroom for naps for 7 month old while his sibling was napping in lower level.
The wood chairs around the table on main level are showing wear, loose. The main level kitchen is showing wear with drawers holding utensils not held in place securely.
Lots of hot water from faucets , great hot water heater for the size of this group. Would love a gate at stairway to lower levels on the main floor deck to prevent dogs from getting loose and out on the road. Plenty of linens and towels and dishes and utensils. Only appliance that gave us problems was coffeemaker.
Recommend.

2nd time and still a great stay!
We rented this house in April of 2019 and this go around was just as pleasant as the first time. (see my previous review) they added a golf cart which we were unable to use due to time constraints. Great view of the lake, very calming this time of year. We had 5 adults,5 kids and a dog in our group (2 more adults had cancelled at the last minute) and there was more than enough room.

A large place right on the lake with great views and plenty of room. Would definitely recommend.

This is a great location. Couple of minor issues, but for the size of the house and the price it's hard to beat. Parking is scarce for a party that size, and the shower curtains needs to be replaced. Other than that, would recommend!

The house was clean, had more than enough room and had everything we needed! Great location and beautiful views from the deck. Looking forward to a return visit!!
