We had a family get-together to celebrate 3 milestone birthdays (our party had people from aged 28 to 80) This was the perfect location so that people flying into Rochester didnt have to travel too far, but we were not far from Corning, Ithica or Watkins Glen where there was activities we wanted to do. Loved the house and the area

We had a nice week but disappointed property didn’t have a dock and limited swim area. House needs maintenance.

We wanted to get away with our son and grandkids. We loved this place! So much to do and see. The home included everything we could want.

We had such a good time! The house was a perfect size even with a baby in the house. Close to the wineries we wanted and the weather was perfect.

The second we opened the door, we were hit with a musty, moldy smell. The whole house had to be aired out. I was down with a migraine the entire first evening we were there and could barely function. My friend was having allergy and asthma symptoms within minutes. The next morning, we all had complained about how squeeky the beds were, it was keeping everyone up listening to each other moving.
The next morning, I took picture of black mold on the bathroom windows, mold spots forming on the dining room ceiling and then saw there must have been water damage because the entire living room has been recently drywalled and spackled, it hadn't even been sanded and painted yet. The bunk room was the most mysty smelling, i couldnt imagine letting my child sleep in there. The price you pay to rent this house on top of all of the paperwork and insurance that had to be purchased did not match up with the condition of this house.

Had a great weekend with book club ladies! Property location right in the middle of everything.

had a great time… watch out for the dock with rusted through posts (It’s noted in the instructions).. might not be good if you wanted it for a boat. Hot tub was well used by all.. fun time!

This cottage was absolutely perfect for our girls’ getaway. It was spacious and had a beautiful lake view. The house was well stocked with lots of fun games and plenty of kitchen items. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

We stayed at Winey Duck Cottage for a weekend in March, so it was off-season which made it feel private. The property is fantastic! I would like to visit during the summer when we can take advantage of water activities. We would definitely stay there again.

3 couples; two with four legged kids and one with a two year old.
Cottage was welcoming, the location off the road but still convenient to everything, the views incredible. The hot tub was a welcome attraction after a day hiking in Watkins Glen or sipping wines and brews on the way to Geneva. Built in wooden gates inside were a big plus to keep a busy toddler away from stairs.

Perfect place for our wine weekend at the lake. Plenty of space for all of us. We had reached out due to not being able to find a light around the hot tub (there isn’t one) - the company was absolutely wonderful. They not only got back to us quickly but dropped off lights for use around the hot tub! Would definitely stay here again!

The property was clean and comfortable. 4 bedrooms plus the den with a futon and 3 baths ! One neighbor to the south? was less than friendly but the other neighbors were great. Access to the lake was lovely but for sure bring water shoes. The hot tub was a plus; I needed to hose down the back patio but it was very nice.

Would highly recommend this place! We stayed here for my sister bachelorette weekend. There was plenty of room in the house and it was very clean. The deck and hot tub were also perfect! Super close to all the wineries and right on the lake.

This was a perfect place to relax by the lake and visit some wineries. Loved your sign on the house to take pictures and to locate the property easier. The cottage was so cozy and very accommodating. We will be back !!!!

It was a great place on the lake! Our stay wasn’t during lake weather so the hot tub was a perfect alternative. We had plenty of space for everyone and the kitchen was well stocked with any meals we wanted to prepare. Overall we had a great time!

Property met all our expectations and the management was very effective and responsive. We were there during the winter storm and our heat was not working and they responded immediately and took care of the problem. Will definitely recommend them.

Had a great time at this rental. Great location and loved being right on the lake. The hot tub was nice to have especially on this cold weekend. The hot tub jets didn’t seem like they were working to their fullest strength, but still enjoyable.

This was a great location! And a spacious house! We loved that it had 3 full bathrooms! However there were a few concerns, which did not impact our weekend much, but we would like to note, the house was freezing cold! 2 bathroom sinks were clogged. The top bunk was terribly wobbly. The blinds in the white bedroom didn’t go down. All the ceilings fan/blades were extremely dusty. The white coffee pot didn’t work (thankfully there was another) and though we were told there was not a Keurig there was (please update the listing) so we didn’t have pods. However we loved the view, the heater in the bathroom was great, very sufficient seating, and a nice assortment of games. It was a very quiet neighborhood, with nice neighbors and the kitchen dishes/utensils were well stocked.

We loved the house and location. The deck and hot tub were perfect for enjoying the lake view. It was a very easy process to rent the home and check in and out. No problems with anything. Loved it so much we want to rent the same property for next year

Lovely As Advertised
When we came across this listing we didn't think it would be a great as it looks, but it just as nice as you see in the photos. Love the back deck and hot tub! Sure, there is some ware and tare, but the yard and property is well kept. Everyone who came enjoyed the stay!

Lovely property and great location!
My family rented this house for a week as a celebration for our mother’s birthday. The cottage is lovely—enough space for 5 adults and two energetic children, a lot of outdoor seating (the awning over the back porch is a big plus), and a kitchen with plenty of equipment, plates, and flatware. The internet service is also really good. I really appreciated the location, as well: on a dead-end road, so not much traffic (and the house is set well back from the road, anyway), but close to quite a number of wineries, and also close enough to Geneva that running into town to get groceries or to go to dinner was easy. Everything about our stay was comfortable and enjoyable—would definitely book here again!

Great little place to get away for an extended weekend
This was a nice first time house rental. Went with family and friends for a extended weekend. Location was beautiful, house has all of the amenities, really enjoyed our stay. Only thing that would have been nicer is if the dock was accessible for people to use and if there was a rowboat to use as listed on the description.

Love the Winey Duck
Loved our stay. Only issue was on of the shower nozzles was broken when we arrived but we were able to make due with the other two showers. Online pictures don’t do the house justice!

Beautiful place however, used cigarette butts were all over the property and in the rental upon arrival.

Extended weekend for son 21st birthday.
Charming and beautiful. Tucked away in a quiet little neighborhood. As soon as you walked in a beautiful dinning table for 8. A another little table for 4 and a kitchen with everything you could need if planning on cooking. It’s has beautiful hardwood floors and spacious bedrooms, each with there own little theme and all but one with a beautiful view of the lake. A great way to wake up each day.
Each floor had its own full bathroom making it easy for everyone in our group to get ready and out the door for a day of wine, beer and distillery tasting and waterfall seeing.
The house has plenty of room for everyone. A few cute little areas to sit and read a book, which my mom enjoyed.
The challenges we had was the solar lights around the deck maybe 3 worked the rest were either broken or didn’t work, making it hard to see going down the steps to the campfire pit. There was also no lighting under the deck by the hot tube. We had to use the lights on our phones or flash light to safety get in and out of the hot tube.
The fire pit was close to the edge of the property that sloped down. So we could not all sit around the fire pit.
Our son was looking forward to fishing off the dock but unfortunately he was not able to as the dock was closed off and unsafe to use. Hopefully the owner is able to get those little challenges fixed.
Those minor things however did not keep us from enjoying the hot tube or the fire pit.
My son found other places to go fishing at off the property.
We enjoyed sitting on the deck and admiring the beautiful view of the lake every morning and in the evening. The place has plenty of outside sitting for everyone. The rocking chairs are a nice touch.
I would absolutely stay here again and will be recommending this place to others.

Girls Trip #1
We enjoyed our stay and were very happy with the location and view. The amenities provided were much appreciated. I would suggest some lighting for the hot tub area. Having a hot tub is a big perk of a VRBO but we had significant safety concerns using the hot tub without lighting. Being able to maneuver the snow and ice was rather difficult in the dark.

Extended winter weekend stay
Property management was very good about early communication regarding the property. We really enjoyed our stay. The property is beautiful right on the lake, housed our group of 7 very comfortably, had a decent amount of kitchen supplies if you’re interested in cooking during your stay, and had several other nice amenities that seemed well kept. While property management does provide a list of what to bring and what is included at the property we did hope there would be at least some basic essentials included that were not. There was no hair dryer, limited paper towers, a need for larger pots or pans (there are plenty of smaller pans), and there were coffee makers but no filters or k-cup filters. Everything was fairly clean and nothing in bad shape for an aging rental house. The worst part of the stay is defiantly the mattresses. If the property was to invest in new mattresses then I wouldn’t have any complaints or issues with renting this house again. Many of the mattresses were extremely hard. The mattresses were so hard the as you slide or rolled slightly on the bed that they would literally make loud crack and crunching noises.

Wine tasting trip
This cottage has a very spacious living/dining area with a well stocked kitchen. There are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for a large group. The hot tub was very enjoyable. Our only complaint is that the living area is in the back with no water view.

Nice home for a group. Some maintenance issues and could have been cleaner

Lovely View
It was what we expected for the price. The place was a bit dated. But the view spectacular. The hot tub area could use some lighting and sprucing up.

Great Location
Great house for a group of 8 friends. Great location for visiting winerys. Deck on lake is a great place to hang out. The only issue we had was the recently changed limit of two car parking at the property. Didn't think that was realistic for a house that holds 12 people. Other than that had a great time and would recommend the property.

Definitely recommend and definitely would stay again
