A simple but functional apartment style place. Wifi was good and everything worked. Jim is easy to communicate with.
Not much in the way of condiments or accessories.

Gorgeous small suite close to downtown Sechelt. Completely equipped kitchen. Everything well thought out. A bit of a busy street however the views are spectacular!

The unit is a simple place to stay in the heart of the Sunshine Coast. The host and his wife are both friendly, and will help you in anyway that they can.

We spent few days in this location, and it was perfect. There is anything you need in walking distance (beach, walks, supermarket, restaurant, etc.)
The neighborhood is calm and nice. The view is really beautiful.
The communication with Jim is really easy.

Not very welcoming!
Owner demaned 2nd payment even though payment was not due for another week. Told me to cancel if I'm not going to pay. Received strange notes from owner that made no sense.
Bathroom sink not cleaned. Toilet was disgusting - I cleaned it myself (poop under lid, hairs at back of seat - have photos). Bath towels were old and thin and barely big enough for showering.
Fridge not cleaned inside or out. Toaster oven disgusting (have photos). kitchen items seemed to be old and cheap. Coffee pot not rinsed out or cleaned, I had to clean it before using.
Lamp had no light bulb in living room, no soft light or cozy ambience, just blasting bright light, or missing light bulbs, or lights not working at all.
No effort to make the place nice and cozy - no TLC or warmth to this place, most unwelcoming B&B I've ever stayed in.

Great view
Property is clean. The view is the best part of the experience. Sitting on the porch with a glass of wine and the view was awesome.
The property itself inside, the chill space is not very welcoming or comfortable but if it’s just a crash pad then it’s fine.

Close to main attractions
We enjoyed our stay in Sechelt. It is nice to sit out front on the porch for a glimpse of the water. Blackberries grow abundantly on the trail beside it and are delicious. It is a manageable walk to the main attractions (market on Saturdays), groceries, restaurants and beach but the walk uphill after requires a few breaks due to the incline especially if you’re carrying bags. The apartment is well equipped (bring your own laundry detergent) and you can request things when they run out. My one suggestion for improvement would be new bedding as it’s rather thin. The hosts were very pleasant and accommodating and I would return to this location.

Hidden gem in Sechelt
The pictures don’t do this place justice! Just a short walk to downtown, the beaches, restaurants, shops and more, Jim’s place was the perfect spot to set up shop for a relaxing weekend away.

Such a great place to stay. I could sit on the porch with an ocean view and watch 2 eagles in the tree across the street. It’s a short walk to a great little beach that I had all to myself. So much wildlife in the area. I saw many deer on my walks to the beach. The place was clean and comfortable. Very good value !!

Spent 5 days working on the Sunshine Coast and stayed in this basement suite. The owner was extra helpful with a day of booking due to another VBRO property double booking.Bring your fishing rod as the pier is 2 block away. Or walking shoes as Davis bay has a great walking path along the beach. The only issue would be for taller people as the shower is about 5 foot 11. At 6 foot 1 I had to duck a little.

Very nice apartment on the Sunshine Coast
I had a wonderful stay at this very comfortable apartment on the West side of Sechelt. Downtown is within walking distance or a 3 minute drive away. Beautiful view from living room/kitchen.

Modern Apt in Upscale Neighborhood
I could have stayed for. month! Jim's apartment has everything you need to be comfortable for any length of stay. Well equipped kitchen, wonderful bed, plenty of storage and a cozy living area. You could walk to town (downhill), I just didn't because I didn't want to walk back up at night! Sechelt is great town for exploring the Sunshine Coast and Jim has lots of help in the apt with maps and suggestions. Highly recommend it.

Everything you need
We spent 3 days exploring the Sunshine Coast. Jim’s place is nicely located, not far from the ocean and close to shopping and restaurants. The kitchen is fully equipped and the unit is comfortable. It was nice to go back there after a long day of hiking and exploring.

My husband and I stayed in this suite as we prepared for and celebrated our destination wedding. It was a nice and quiet retreat at the end of our busy days. The owner even congratulated us by leaving a card and bottle of champagne on our door step. I would stay here again for sure.

Nice quiet time away
Property was neat and clean, accessible, quiet, private, as advertised.
Owner/managers Jim and Helen are approachable, but not over bearing.
Jim was happy that we reported a couple of small things to be addressed.
We would recommend this place for a short-term stay.

nice and clean little suite including a tea pot for us to make tea.
Our hosts kindly gave us pastries and also fresh lettuce and kale from their garden. Would stay there again in future.

Quiet neighborhood unit with nice (tree) obstructed ocean view from their deck!
The Tangs were most welcoming and great hosts. Jim responded quickly to all emails/messages. The private apt attached to their home in a residential neighborhood was quiet and relaxing. Helen greeted us as she took us into our private 1 bedroom apt with full kitchen along side their lovely two story home just at the north end of Sechelt. It had everything we needed along with maps and area info that Helen left for us. We stayed 6 days and enjoyed the quiet and the lovely Adirondack chairs set up on their front deck just for viewing the water and eagles building their nest in the trees across the street. Helen brought us a small fan that was so helpful on those somewhat muggy days. They are only minutes away from downtown Sechelt and all the lovely activities available during the week and weekend. We especially enjoyed lunches at The Lighthouse Pub in Porpoise Bay and the easy drive up the coast to Penders Harbor and Earls Cove. Helen surprised us with homemade banana bread and cookies one day which were a delicious treat! Helen and Jim have recently planted lovely flowers in front of their home making it warm and inviting.
Minor suggestions for the future might be: adding a Memory foam bed topper to the somewhat firm queen bed for those needing pressure point relief. A hanging rack for the shower would be helpful for holding shampoo and soap etc. And completing the somewhat "under construction feel" by painting the primered baseboards, trim and doors would complete the finished look. Thank you both for a lovely week!
