good overall. loved the room i stayed in. but didn't like the hidden cleaning fees

the room had a little kitchen, had a washer/dryer. felt like a cozy apartment home vs. a hotel room. would recommend for a longer stay

i wasn't aware that there is an additional cleaning fee every night, i've never stayed at a hotel that charged you extra to get the room cleaned before.

Beautiful hotel in London, my new favourite! ❤️

Beautiful period property in a quiet part of Bethnal Green, we parked close by really easily. The room was super spacious we had a one bedroom apartment it had everything you needed. My only regret was that we didn’t book two nights 😩

It was nice but probably won't return.

Loved the room, was a great size. The building itself was stunning to enter. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was massive and really comfy, like sleeping on a clould. There was air con in the room which was handy for the weather and also being on the third floor. Decor was nice and rather cool. Bathroom was a good size and had all the toiletries. Room had a coffee machine and also a small smeg fridge, which was great to store our stuff for breakfast.

The room could do with basic upgrades. There was stains on the wall that were questionable. There was also mouldy sealant around the taps area of the bath. The showerhead needed to be replaced. The door to the batheoom was a sliding door, but don't think it was aligned fully as there was a decent sized gap when shut. Also the frosted glass - why aren't bathrooms private anymore!? Also, we got a service charge under the door - based on other reviews, I had expected it. Just tell reception you aren't paying it. It's incredible rude to add on as we had forked out 400quid for 2 nights already. Also don't like that it has Shoreditch in the title - it's Bethnal Green.

Comfy stay good location stylish rooms.

Rooms are a good size. En-suite very modern. Kitchenette with fridge and dishwasher is a nice touch. Stylish decor, comfy bed.

We had a lower ground floor room which meant we looked out on a brick wall. However, it was very quiet we didn’t hear anything.

A decently priced option in a great location; just don’t expect luxury!

The location is ideal for anyone visiting friends in Hackney. It’s easy to walk to Broadway Market, Victoria Park, Shoreditch…

This felt more like an Airbnb than a hotel in terms of assistance and services. We had some very confusing interactions with the staff, the air conditioning wasn’t working, outlets were broken in our friends’ room, etc.

Schönes Hotel, man könnte aber mehr daraus machen.

Ein tolles Haus an guter Lage, grosses Zimmer, sauber, gute Ausstattung & Pflegeprodukte. Bei meinem letzten Besuch vor 8 Jahren wirkte alles frisch renoviert.

Die Einrichtung wirkt abgenützt und es gibt einige Dinge, die repariert oder ersetzt werden müssten. Das Zimmer im UG war düster und man sah nur knapp ein Stück des Himmels. Schade, dass das Hotelpersonal nicht aufmerksamer ist und keine Informationen zum Hotel gegeben hat.

Disappointing

Comfortable beds. Good ensuite. Useful to have kitchen facilities if needed. The wedding we attended at the venue was very good and well supported by the staff.

We didn't expect to have the bed against the wall on one side and with no bedside tables. The lounge tv wasn't in a position to be watched easily. We were not informed that the dining facilities weren't available and the limited room service was not suitable for me with dietary issues. There wasn't the option of dairy free milk or spread at breakfast.

Not worth the price

Good sized room that was clean

The location is not great - not in Shoreditch There was no option for early check-in despite requesting this. Some of the staff were not helpful. Rooms were very stuffy and was difficult to sleep. We had maintenance attend the room to fix it but it didn't make any difference.

Ik kreeg een kamer helemaal beneden met weinig zonlicht en oude meubilair. Aan het einde kreeg ik een verzoek om extra service kosten te betalen. Ik heb dat uiteraard geweigerd aangezien dat ik alles al had betaald.

Séjour agréable dans un hotel de caractère et bien situé

La chambre est spacieuse, l'hotel offre tout ce que l'on souhaite pour un séjour réussi, restautant, piscine, salle de sport!

La literie pourrait etre améliorée, le lit était très mou. Nous aurions préféré être dans une chambre aux étages car celles du -1 ne sont pas très lumineuses.

Comfortable over all

The room was beautiful and bed was very comfy. Nespresso coffee pods were very welcome.

£50 deposit we were only told about on arrival. Room looked out on to a yard of large rubbish bins and rubbish trucks were in and out during the morning.

A beautiful comfortable hotel that we’ll definitely visit again.

It’s beautiful and it was especially festive and gorgeous (and it smelled AMAZING). Our room was gorgeous and spacious. We didn’t have a chance to eat unfortunately, but we’ll be back and will make sure we have more time to enjoy all the facilities (including the pool which looks wonderful, I really wish we’d had time for a swim). Staff were very helpful and friendly. We loved it.

Our tv wouldn’t work which was really annoying and disappointing. We couldn’t get Netflix to work or any kind of casting, the tv wasn’t connected to the network it said, and we were just trying to watch a film in bed after coming back from a Christmas party so it just felt too late to ask someone from the hotel to come and sort it out. Not a dealbreaker but it was a shame, especially when it’s nearly £300 for one night.

Fabulous hotel. Convenient for central London.

Wonderful friendly efficient staff Rooms equipped very well. Beds comfortable with good quality bedding. Excellent facilities in room with fridge and top quality coffee/tea.

Would love to have fresh milk in Fridge again.

A very charming hotel

A very charming hotel with lots of character and history. the concept is carried out beautifully throughout the place. loved the layout of the suite. very spacious and comfortable rooms. the location is great.

Nice stay despite noise and children running wild from a wedding taking place that same evening.

The interior of the hotel is beautiful. The room and kitchen contained everything could need, including microwave, various utensils and a washing machine.

Our room (107) looked out onto a bird poo infested exterior, and was the rear of some council flats. The latter is fine but there were loud noises, including glass clanking, presumably from rubbish being thrown/collected.

Great place to stay and with the apartments also for a longer period if you want to cook yourself or something

Beautiful building and renovated with style. We loved it. And our room was super spacious and even had two bathrooms! Where will you find that!

Unfortunately the pool was closed for maintenance, but nothing else really.

A tastefully designed hotel with character

Staff were welcoming and couldn't do enough during my stay. Rooms are always fantastic. Very tastefully designed, comfortable, spacious and lots of amenities.

Pool was closed which was disappointing. I'd looked forward to using the facilities in my down time. I'd expect to be notified of something like that prior to the stay. Air con in my room was broken too though I was given a fan.

A little pricey, but worth it with warm & welcoming staff, & a cozy cute room with unique facilities

Cozy, clean and comfortable room in a beautiful building. The bathroom in particular was my favourite; a big bathtub to wash the day away. Lovely

An additional service charge was added to the room; the cost of the room was already quite expensive and I've never been charged for my room to be cleaned in another hotel before...it should usually come complimentary. However; this charge was later removed thanks to the helpful, friendly staff.

Great for everything but breakfast.

The staff on reception were wonderful, the room was great, the pool was very relaxing. AC was a literal lifesaver. The small plates we had at lunch were yummy too.

Breakfast was a massive bummer. Gluten free options were oats, or normal cooked breakfast with gluten free bread. They were out of gluten free bread, and the oats I ordered never arrived - even after asking/reminding staff. Quality of the rest of the cooked breakfast was meh for both gluten and gluten-free, aside from the mushrooms which were lovely. It's a real pity. Expected more, especially from a East London hotel. I'd stay here again but avoid the £25 pp /a la carte breakfast.
