Tranquility, excellent attention to detail, felt like I was in someone’s home who was an excellent host! Quintessentially British.
More gluten free breakfast options.

Amazing staff, great location and beautiful accommodations!

The decor (what colour is the pink in the bathroom, please?!), the quiet, the air con. The cat. Staff. Bath. Just the whole thing, really.
The plug points in your hotels are always lacking. I’ve never stayed in one of your rooms and found it easy to use the plugs!
Bathroom grouting/toilet join need a bit of attention.

Beautifully appointed hotel, conveniently located in central London. Steps away from Farringdon Station. 12 minute walk to St. Paul's. We arrived early from Heathrow jetlagged and tired to drop our bags, but the staff made an extra effort to prepare our room quickly while we were given tea in the conservatory, so we were able to revive ourselves before a busy day of sightseeing. There are several beautiful common rooms available 24 hours with honor bars. Our room was exactly as pictured, very clean, very comfortable. We only stayed 2 nights but felt it was an excellent start to our holiday.

it feel very cosy and comfortable and is in a quiet side road in what is a busy area!
Our bed was a little in the small side but it was noted for our next stay to ensure we had a larger bed

This is different from any hotel I have stayed in before. You don’t really need to leave the hotel to have a lovely time. We particularly loved the three large guest areas which are full of books, comfy antique style sofas and fireplaces -all served with honesty bars so you can just pour your own drink and relax as if you were at home (but a very luxurious home). We also loved the location, a stones throw from medieval sites, the river Thames, Tower of London and St Paul’s Cathedral. Easily the best situated hotel we have stayed at in London. lots of really lovely pubs and eateries nearby. Can’t fault it and the staff are wonderful, kind and efficient.
I can’t think of anything I didn’t like.

The service from reception is really fantastic! I got a few gifts delivered to the hotel prior to our stay as we travelled from South Africa on Christmas Day and asked them to put it all in the gift bag in our room, and this was done perfectly! they went to a lot of trouble to search for restaurants in the area that would be open and also alerted me to the fact that the Heathrow Express (that I had bought tickets for, in advance) will not be running.
Breakfast is such a treat, delivered to your room (or you can sit at a table downstairs) and we tried all the options. On day 1 I said I had died and gone to gluten heaven.
I purposely booked a hotel a bit out of the way in the hope that it would be quiet, which worked.
On the nights that someone stayed on the floor above me, it was very noisy. you can hear their footsteps, voices and when they open their taps. I am a light sleeper so I could not sleep while they were awake, which was until 1 am every morning.
I do however understand that the hotel does not have control over this, but this is the only reason why I would possibly not return. The bed was beautiful, but very hard. The rest was perfect.

Charming English hotel, well located. Great bed and shower and service.
A bit dark. The lighting could have been brighter.

What an amazing secret place! An unassuming exterior hides the stunning interior. Great staff that were so attentive and a beautiful room too! The honesty bars add to the relaxed comfort and the breakfasts are high quality.
The location is superb, and with Farringdon Station and the Elizabeth Line two minutes away, what a great base for exploring the best of London!
The room was a little warm but opening windows resolved that. A little more light in the room would be nice ....
