We loved the friendliness of the staff, the amazing doggies and the beautiful scenery
No reception, no wifi (i had alot of work to catch up on, and have a daughter that needs white noise to sleep) our fan was making noises, we were mostly without electricity, despite that there was no loadshedding... Our fridge stank like rotting flesh, so much so that we ended up throwing away many food items, even though we only uncovered later that it was the fridge itself. It was so bad that we avouded using the fridge, just to not have to have the smell permeating through the house.

The location is good but unfortunately for us we could not make the most of it as it rained most of the time.
I think there could be some walking paths in the adjoining mountain.

Very quiet and charming! Farm is beautiful to walk around and lovely to relax and be off the grid for a weekend.
Was perfect

We took our own food, we had a warm welcome and met several friendly dogs, we had a lovely walk, the location is sublime, basic but functional. Would love to stay again.

The dish cloths was in a poor condition.

the surroundings and cottage and set-up are delightful - owner really super (a real 'gentleman' farmer!!),
THINGS THE OWNER CAN SADLY DO NOTHING ABOUT :
- the dirt road to the place was just unexpectedly further than we thought - and not in a good state! ...we drive a small car which did not do well on such roads!!
- the farm is very secluded - so no wi-fi
- sadly, the much-needed cool weather (after soaring 40deg temp's the previous day!!) and rain set in the day we arrived - so we could not really appreciate all the farm had to offer

Amazing place, lovely hosts who also guided us through their gardens, all their family members. Very comfortable rooms to stay with all facilities.
Accessibility to the place is a bit tricky, especially while reaching in the night. Google maps helped well but better roads could be of great help to reach this beautiful stay.

Loved the peace and quiet and the beautiful night sky...
Wi fi, too far to access...

The peace and quiet and beautiful surroundings. The cottage was simple, but had everything needed and plugs.

Self-catering. I liked the isolation.
I couldn't see inside the top cupboards or in the mirror - I'm too short.

We stayed in Blue gum the cottage was cozy and clean. We loved the location and the friendliness of the owner and his children. Its the best get away if you are wanting your children to experience farm life. Milking the goats and cows was an awesome experience for the kids. Then fishing for bass on the dam surrounded by the farm animals. Getting woken up in the morning by the sounds of chickens the children loved. Peaceful and a great place to see so many stars at night.
Maybe more comfortable chairs /couches to sit on outside to relax and take in the beautiful scenery

We chose this place as it promised to be quiet. We had a wonderful time. This is a real friendly guest house which has great service and a good atmosphere. The rooms are really clean well maintained and up to scratch. It was better than the pictures.
They could add handles in the bathroom for older people to get in and out of the bath/shower. The walking trails wasn't clearly marked which would help too.

Lovely rural location, very peaceful.
The shower was very small and cramped.

It was clean, neat and so wonderfully quiet. Loved all the animals especially the very well behaved dogs Fluffy and Jack who guarded us.

PEACEFUL STAY
STEAK IN BRAAI PACK WAS TOUGH. NO TEASPOONS? NO CELL SIGNAL.
SHOWER IN BATH, NOT GREAT FOR OLDER FOLK AND WATER WAS COLD.
BEST TO HAVE SEPARATE SHOWER
