The beach is only about 100 yards away, and the house is located on a 7th Ave in Milford CT in Laurel Beach Association. The house has a large open floor plan on the first floor. Our family enjoyed a relaxing and restorative beach vacation right before the start of the school year. We were able to spend time with local friends and nearby family for meals and visits. The kids spent all day building sand castles and riding the attached rafts during the change of the tides. This is a magical place.

We were looking for a house that had lots of space for a family gathering and a bedroom/bathroom on the ground floor for our eldest generation. This house had both those things, which is rare in Milford Beach rental properties I have seen.
The owner was very responsive to all our communications and provided everything advertised in the listing. The house has the needed household essentials. There's lots of sitting area inside, a large screened porch, and large outdoor deck. Great for gathering everyone. We also appreciated the abundant parking...I think we were able to accommodate 5 cars on the property, and there was usually nearby street parking as well.
A couple of things to keep in mind: there are 2-3 steps from the main floor to the 1st floor bedroom. My parents were able to navigate it, but seriously mobility-challenged people may struggle.
Also, while most rooms have A/C units, a couple don't. We were very glad that on a very hot day in August, we were able to run all the A/Cs without any power issues.

Family Holiday
This house was just what we needed for family to gather to celebrate the holidays. The kitchen supplied everything needed to have 12 people for a seated meal. The owner was very available and helpful as well. Would love to enjoy it again in a warmer, beach-friendly season.

Old PopPop enjoyed bringing the family together for some fun during covid
Very interesting “cottage” acknowledging that it’s 100 years old. We’ll equipped, good location, plenty of room. Great for grandparents, young adults and grandchildren. Thank You

Wonderful
We just returned from a lovely post-Christmas stay in Milford. The house was stunning and just a quick walk to lovely Laurel Beach. The kitchen was well-appointed with enough room to prepare meals and entertain. The house has an amazing layout that allowed us to spread out. Both bathrooms are recently updated, as is the kitchen. We can’t wait to come back during the summer to enjoy the porches and the ocean view. Brad was easy to reach and very pleasant to work with throughout the days leading up to our stay. I would highly recommend this beautiful beach house.

Old Fashioned summer
This house is for people who truly appreciate summer in New England. Don't pass up the opportunity to experience a vacation that will take you back in time to the lazy days...but you still get a gigantic, huge flat screen TV to watch Jaws on with all your friends!

Beautiful house by the beach
This house was amazing and provided everything we needed during our stay. It's a very short walk down to the beach, which is beautiful. The beds were comfortable and it was close to everything. The reason I gave 4 stars is because of a strong mildew like smell in the downstairs bedroom/ bathroom. Other than that the house was perfect.

Perfect match for our family, loved the beach, plenty of room
This is a large old colonial house just steps from the beach. The owner has done a good job in updating, but house is over 100 years old and there will always be some minor repairs or adjustments needed. The AC in one of the bedrooms broke, I bought and installed a new one, and owner immediately thanked me and brought a check over to reimburse me. Colorful guy, great attitude.

Great Beach House in Milford
This home is far more charming than the pictures indicate! Well stocked for cooking and relaxing. Two minute walk to the beach and short walk to the Audobon Center and the shops at Walnut Beach. Minor plumbing issue that was handled promptly and cheerfully - this is an old house, so stuff happens. We look forward to staying here again.

Beach house
I rented this house for a month. It was wonderful. Very close to the beach in a great neighborhood.
Plenty of room for my family and dog! The beach was perfect, warm clear water. The children had room to play outside, plenty of parking. The home is old but well kept. It was the best rental I have ever had. The family went into New York City by train, very convenient. Hope to rent again next year. Thank you Brad.

2nd Annual Family Vacation
This was our second year staying in this beach house and once again had the best family stay-cation! We had more than enough room for the 6 adults\4 children for our 2 week stay. The beach is definately the best in CT and having it right across the street is why we love coming to this beach house and hope that the home will be available next year :)

Beautiful even in December!
We rented this house to host a family reunion around Christmas. Two families with toddlers fit in the house with room to spare! The house is child friendly with a little childproofing for the younger crowd upon arrival. School aged or older will love the games and books on site! The house is very clean and perfectly oriented for socializing, with a very large modern kitchen. There is a beautiful deck we would have enjoyed if the weather were just a little warmer. The yard is small but the house is a very short walk to the beach (2 minutes) which I'm sure is even better during CT beach months. There is a wood burning stove in the room adjacent to the kitchen (which we didn't use because of the toddlers) but was a great place to kick back and relax even without a fire. The wood stove area takes the place of the dining room which was a minor inconvenience. The living room was very comfy and had plenty of seating for our two families plus a guest or two. The bedrooms were larger than expected and nicely decorated, each with their own color scheme and beautiful quilts. The master bedroom is awesome, it's own little haven, so if you're booking with a group of friends, be sure to put your dibs in early. The house is close to the merrit parkway and 95 (within 5 minutes of a main road) situated among other beautiful beach houses. The owner consistently communicated with us making our rental experience a pleasant one. Please note the rental amount listed on homeaway is incorrect, please contact the owner for the current rental price. We would definitely rent this house again and would highly recommend it to others without hesitation.

Fabulous Rental House
We rented this house in August for a family reunion/vacation. The house was much nicer than in the pictures. We were all thrilled with the size of the rooms, the excellent furniture and decorations, the gourmet kitchen and the proximity to the beach. The kids loved playing in the yard under the huge tree then running to the beach which was only a 2 minute walk. I grew up on the Connecticut shore and NEVER considered vacationing on the beach. I had no idea what a beautiful shoreline Milford had and the lovely homes lining the boardwalk. The kids spent hours playing on the jetty seaching for crabs and building sand castles. It was truly a vacation to remember. I would HIGHLY recommend this house and the person who owns it. The only part we would have enjoyed more is that Laurel Beach Association has a beautiful old 'club house' with a bowling alley and games inside which was locked at all times. That would have put the vacation over the top if the kids could have played there on the rainy days:)!
