Ledner home is nestled in a hill located just above Rapallo. The town can be reached on foot in a few minutes.
It is an elegant apartment of 140 square meters, owned by the same family for three generations. Outside the apartment is a magnificent and large terrace facing west with views of Rapallo, the bay and the surrounding hills. The apartment is on the first floor of a stately home from the 50s newly renovated and has central heating for the winter months. The house is traditionally in use by non-smokers, with no pets. Our private garage for 1 car is available.
At this exceptional moment we are particularly happy to be able to offer our spacious terrace, which allows you to enjoy the beautiful spring, summer and autumn days lying in the sun, in the shade, or comfortably seated at the outside table under the pergola of the vineyard adjacent to the reading room. The robust WiFi connection also allows home office practice, both in the green exterior area and in the bright interior rooms. This is a great advantage in times of social distancing.
Rapallo is located on the Gulf of Tigullio. The surrounding resort area extends Eastward to Porto Venere and Westward to 5 Terre and Portovenere. It 's very close and well connected by sea and land to Sestri Levante, Chiavari, Zoagli, Santa Margherita, Portofino and Camogli. Genoa airport is only 40 Km. away.

We found the location and apartment to be perfect for our needs. Everything we needed we found to be at hand. The information booklet was very helpful too when looking for places to eat and things to do! Thank you Tirana and Silvio!

Very beautiful apartment and terrace, great host - highly recommended!

A light and airy apartment with amazing views over Rapallo from the terrace, and spectacularly from the living room. Agree with some of the reviews that we were using someone’s holiday home, so not a bland and pristine holiday let. There is a steep climb up from Rapallo, and also up the apartment steps from the road but doable even for a couple in their seventies!
Loved Rapallo for it’s lively centre, and the recommendations in the guest book for restaurants and sourcing of fresh local food were spot on. We had some delicious fresh pasta suppers on the terrace accompanied by some excellent local wine.
Rapallo is a great hub from which to reach lovely coastal towns and beaches by boat or by the excellent train service. And Genova is only half an hour away by train.
Thank you Silvio and Christina

The communication with the owner was excellent. He was very nice and made sure the check-in process was easy and very clear. The property is pretty much as photographed. It is spacious with a lovely terrace. There is a small table and chairs outside under a beautiful trellises. If you want to utilize the terrace by day there are beach chairs at the apartment. It is pretty dated but the photos show that.
There are two portable AC units which can be moved from room to room as needed and since it was extremely hot we needed to move them around to cool down the apartment.
It’s a walk uphill and upstairs from town so you will get your excersice.

We enjoyed our stay in the Casa Ledner very much. The view from the terrasse is spectacular and the breakfast area under the pergola was just fantastic. We arrived when the grapes had already grown, and the Jasmin was in full bloom. The scent was heavenly.
The apartment is very spacious and has three large bedrooms. The wonderful terrasse was overlooking Rapallo, the harbour and the city. The kitchen is small, but well equipped. We also enjoyed being surrounded by original artworks by Mr. Ledner who painted beautiful landscapes of the area.
The apartment is very close to Rapallo centre and to the beach. Walking down takes 5 minutes, up a bit longer as the climb is very steep.
The garage is an adventure. We came with an Opel Combo – a medium-size car but not as large as a SUV/VAN. We did eventually fit into the parking space but getting in was a challenge. Also due to the narrowness of the passage into the garage. Therefore, once we had it parked, we did not touch it anymore until we departed. Instead, we walked and took the train. Parking around the area is rare for any car larger than a Fiat Cinquecento.
All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Ledner and will return in the future. With a smaller car. 😊

We were given a nice reception by Tiziana she showed us the whole apartment and informed us of all the necessities.
We had a nice stay and a perfect starting point for excursions to the Cinque Terre, Portofino, Cenova.
Short way down to town, but with a pram it could be a bit tiring up the slopes of the apartment.
Many thanks to Christina and Silvio for a great stay.

We had a great time in Rapallo, and staying in this apartment was just wonderful. Everything was very well organized. Our favorite place was the main terrace. What a view - and what a beautiful garden! We had many lovely meals in the nice living room, and enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere in the apartment The appartement worked very well for our family. The only challenge was that my husband had rented a too big car. We could use the garage, but there was not much space left.
The placement of the appartement suited our plans well. We had short way to both supermarked, bus, trains and we got to see a lot of the area. We had a great holiday week, and would love to come back.

This is a bright spacious historic apartment which is a joy to return to after a day walking the Ligurian coast. The large living room with beautiful paintings is luminous, three double bedrooms are ample, bathrooms good, everything very clean. The back bedroom is superbly dark and quiet, and we slept very well there; a minor problem with the others is a small chink in the (old-fashioned but lovely) shutters which let in too much light but this can easily be fixed I'm sure. Only other minor quibble is that most of the pillows were very hard!
The owners are a pleasure to deal with: polite, helpful, straightforward, understanding, speak excellent English, as elegant in manners as their apartment!
We benefitted from the location which is a 7 minute walk (much of it steep uphill but do-able) from the centre of town and 10 minutes from the rail station. We really liked not needing a car, we walked to nearby Santa Margherita and otherwise took the local train, very frequent and cheap, runs late into the evening, to Camogli, Sestri Levante, Genoa etc. All the towns are lovely but each is different and worth a visit. All in all we had a lovely holiday, thank you Christina and Silvio.

The apartment in Rapallo is perfectly situated up in the hills a short walk from the downtown area. It is in a gorgeous area and very quiet. The walk from downtown is not far but it could be challenging for anybody with some mobility problems. The apartment is large, bright with large windows and very clean. The garden where you can have breakfast, lunch or dinner is remarkably beautiful. I think it must be one of the finest gardens in Rapallo. Rapallo is a beautiful Italian town that is not overwhelmed by tourists. It is a great central point to stay in Italy and easy to travel by train to so many beautiful places. We found a couple of public beaches were we loved swimming. We loved Rapallo and loved the apartment.

We have just returned from two weeks in Rapallo staying at Silvio and Christina’s apartment. It was one of our best ever holidays. The apartment is as shown in the photos and is very spacious. Mind you, when we were there we spent most of our time on the terrace under the luscious grape vine enjoying the breeze (when we had some!) and the peace and the view. The terrace/garden is on two levels and there are three sun beds although the terrace is never all in full sun as there is plenty of shade. The garden has lots of ferns and succulents and Silvio has an automatic sprinkling system that works over night to keep the garden looking green. The apartment feels like a home. The kitchen has lots of handy gadgets and there are bits and pieces such as flour, oil, coffee bags which are useful. Yes it's not all mod cons (no dishwasher, no air con and the Wifi signal isn't great) but the apartment has plenty of character.
As you can see from the photos, the apartment is up a steep hill but it keeps you fit and the views are worth it. We really liked Rapallo. It is an ideal place to be based in this area as there are buses, trains and boats taking you to nearby towns, beaches and to Genova so there is lots to do. There are also lots of guidebooks and leaflets in the house giving useful information. A must is to take a boat trip to Portofino which we found to be less touristy than we’d imagined. We also enjoyed going to Zoagli, Santa Marguerita and other bays along the coast. It is well worth going up the cable car in Rapallo. You gain height very quickly and there are spectacular views over the bay. There are also two restaurants and a bar at the top and some lovely walks - you can come down on a well-marked path although we took the easy option down!
We didn't do a lot of sitting on beaches but there are plenty of free ones to choose from. We liked the Castle Beach and had a swim there as part of our morning routine (supermarket, café and then a swim before the young people of the house had surfaced!).
All in all this was a very successful holiday for us - even our children, now 19 and 21 - were pleased they'd come with us!
Thank you Silvio and Christina for allowing us to stay in your house - I'm sorry we didn't get to meet you. And thank you also to Tiziana for showing us around at the start and for being nearby in case we needed you.

The apartment is very nice, and everything is in good order. The welcome was very nice from the lady who gave us the key, and a lot of good information about the apartment and Rapallo. The outside places is very nice and useful.

Spacious bright apartment with superb balcony areas.
Kitchen small if you are wishing to cook in.
10 min uphill walk from city centre to the apartment, set in lovely quiet residential area.
Very convenient base for visiting Portofino and Santa Marguerita

We stayed in the apartment for 1 week. The apartment was actually nicer and bigger than the photos showed us, so it was better than we expected.
When we arrived, they met us in the apartment and gave us a tour on how everything worked and other things we needed to know. It was also very clean and we felt very welcomed.
Overall we had a really nice stay. The Landlord was very professional during the process. It was an easy rent and quick return of the deposit. I will totally recommend this apartment to other who are considering a holiday in Rapallo.

We decided on Rapallo as we wanted to stay in one place in Italy for one month. We were 2 couples with family/friends visiting so Casa Ledner was ideal with 3 bedrooms and plenty of space.
Being walkers Casa Ledners' location made a great base (never mind the short walk uphill - think of the views) and with convenient access to the train and bus stations we could easily visit Cinque Terre and Tigullio Gulf villages. Buying local produce (and wine!) in the Rapallo market and shops, then enjoying our meals on the terrace overlooking Rapallo while the sun sets was a delight. Not forgetting aperitivos and meals in the numerous bars and restaurants.
The owner, Silvio, made all arrangements and was very helpful and ensured our stay met expectations. As the property description says it has been owned by the same family for three generations - so don't expect everything to be brand new and modern - but that's the charm of Italy. (Check-out all the owners' grandfather's paintings on the walls - wonderful).
Would we do it all again - definitely yes!

The appartement is really beautiful, and also very peaceful. Everything was like announced in the description and perfectly clean. Rooms are large and two of them have a tremendous view. The terrasse is full of flowers and trees. Very useful is the parking next the appartement and we have been very well welcomed by Tiziana.
The city of Rapallo is both beautiful and lively and the sea is just magnificent and a very convenient place to dicover the ligurian coast and the Cinque Terre.

Listening description was accurated regarding Location, layout, facilities etc.
The property was very clean and very well-maintained.
The owner (Manager) provided very good customer Service.
We would recommend this property to our friends or relatives very well.

This apartment fit perfectly into our trip to Italy. After our adventures during the day we were able to come back to a relaxing atmosphere. We spent the evenings sitting on the terrace under the grape vines drinking wine, eating cheese and pasta. The sunsets are spectacular with the lights of Rapallo below. Although the walk up to the house from town is a steep one, it's definitely worth it. Renting scooters is highly recommended, as it's a fun, inexpensive way to see the surrounding towns - as well as making it easy to get to the house. The owner, Silvio, was very helpful and easy to work with. The house was just as advertised, and if we go back to Rapallo, we would definitely stay here again! Nice place.
