Awesome place, everyone enjoyed them selves. Clean and spacious. Most definitely one of the best lodges at Mabalingwe. We will definitely be back.
Jacuzzi did not warm up, but was not a major for us.

An amazing family getaway with peace and amazing wildlife. Very generous size property fully equipped for all age groups. Furnished to high standards and would definitely visit again

Beautiful view, kitchen is well equipped, space for kids to play.

Well laid out and well furnished.
Needs a deep clean and a lot of maintenance.
While everything has been thought of and provided much of it needs maintenance or replacing.
Getting to the property requires an off road vehicle as about 30min of the trip is on a terrible dirt, rocky road.
Game viewing was pretty disappointing, we assumed the reserve had the big 5, but predators are in an enclosure which you can only access on Wednesday and Sunday.
Other than that only a lot of impala and Worthog.
The bed in the main bedroom is broken and uncomfortable.
House really needs deep cleaning, we found scorpion, lizard, rats and a ton of spiders inside the house which I think can be prevented if cleaned properly, especially when guests are expected.

the house needs a little bit of maintenance here and there

We loved the little fish pond infront of the house. It is a lovely house with everything you need. Wish we could stay longer.
Dishwasher is leaking and not cleaning properly. Bo hot water in kitchen

A beautiful private lodge nestled in the Mabalingwe Game Reserve. We loved the entertainment area and the pool with the views of nature. Very spacious property.
We had a little difficulty getting there, road was very bumpy and not great for a normal car so we battled.

I loved the house, very spacious and well decorated. The bathtub with a bush view. Also the fact the about 6-7 people could bath/shower at once was fantastic. Animals just taking walks around the house was beautiful to see. The infinity pool was also beautiful. We had a brain and had an option to either use gas brain or traditional wood.. Kids could also play pool upstairs which was also nice. The kitchen was FULLY equipped, when I say fully,I mean exactly that, everything a kitchen needs and more.
The road from Mabalingwe entrance to the house itself was HORRIBLE, lots of gravel , rocky with down hill and down hill depending on the direction you were going. It took us a good 30 minutes of rattling gravel to eventually make it to the house. In addition, it will take you + 20-25 minutes to get to the nearest town should you wish to get some groceries. Essentially a good hour from the house to the nearest town.
I did not like the fact that we were not pre-warned about this very important fact even if it was after payment because we would have been mentally prepared for such.
Despite the fact that the house was beautiful, we were not warned that one of the small sinks in the kitchen was not functional, I opened the tap and in few minutes the whole kitchen was flooded.
The host need some few hosting skills, I did not get a feeling of being welcomed from her, it felt like it was just a transaction. The worst thing was me getting my deposit back, firstly i had to ask for it after 2 days of departure, I was told by the host Lynette that she has taken some time off and not " really" available to make a transaction. It's 2021 and we literally have banks on the palm of our ✋. I found that to be VERY disrespectful to your guests, unless there's a clause in the T&Cs clearly stating the waiting period for the deposit, there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to make your guest wait for their deposit or even feel like they needed to beg you for it. It isBeing a regular SHORTLEFTER, I was very disappointed at this. I eventually I got my deposit after 7 days or so.

The house is beautiful
The road , I think if I knew before hand I would have come with a different car.

The road to the resort is horrible. The host was also not very helpful and not friendly. It will only be fair that travellers are told of the long, gravel road, it’s not only long but have big stones on it…I am extremely disappointed with the location though the place is beautiful.

Loved the space. Loved the game vehicle!
It just happened to be a very cold weekend. The two smaller rooms had no heating. Perhaps put some oil heaters in or electric blankets.
The end room gas heater was not working and because of loadshedding the aircon did not help
But otherwise a lovely lovely weekend!

5 star lodge facilities. Quiet and secluded.
Neither of these two comments reflects on the Lodge. The game viewing isn't great and big 5 is misleading.

The house was amazing. They have all the amenities, kitchen utensils and appliances you can think of. The view is incredible and the infinity pool perfectly situated to enjoy sundowners.

Location little bit tricky but the host assisted, breakfast was divine

Prporty requires some maintenance: bar fridge leaked water on floor, games room tv does not go on, double bed sises are off, gas stove not all plates r working.
Game drive vehicle needs maintenance. Gears are hard, gages don't work and wipers don't work.
Overall stunning lodge with fantastic views. Will def be back again
