Lovely spacious condo for 5 adults. We especially enjoyed the walking tour of the development/former state hospital. Close to many sites, with great restaurants within walking distance. Very clean and well appointWould absolutely stay here again if in the area.

We stayed at the condo for our son’s hockey tournament. Our kids are 1, 8, and 12. They all loved it! Open and a ton of room. The host is great and very accommodating! We’ll definitely be back.

What an excellent and convenient place to call home for 3 nights! Beth is a fabulous host. We couldn't have asked for a better location, accommodation, or experience.

We enjoyed our stay but we were a bit cold & couldn’t seem to warm up the condo. TV remotes needed new batteries to work & can opener broke so we replaced it.

The apartment was perfect! We loved all the beautifully restored buildings within The Village Commons, conveniently located close to downtown, beaches, and restaurants. We would definitely return.

My family and I just spent two weeks at this very fine Vrbo in an historic building. It’s just as the website describes……high ceilings were the best…..marble and terrazzo floors…nice area rugs….well-appointed kitchen….etc.
Just as important to our stay, our host, Beth, was personable, professional, and quick to respond to all of our questions.
We’ll definitely try to stay here again someday when we return to Traverse City.

2nd time we’ve stayed in this beautiful condo and probably won’t be the last. This time for the Cherry Festival. Close enough to walk downtown but far enough away from all the hustle and bustle. So much to do in Traverse Commons. This year we took the Asylum Tour which was great. Breakfast twice at Red Spire, our favorite, and dinner at PepeNero, so good! All in all a wonderful few days.

Beth was prompt and efficient in her communications with us. The condo was absolutely beautiful and spacious. The location was lots of fun and convenient, as there was a basement/tunnel area below with lots of choices of delicious dining. The building has a very interesting history. Outstanding experience!

My stay in Traverse City was incredible. The space was clean and beautiful. The patio was perfect for a relaxing night in with wine. I enjoyed all of the local cuisine and shops located right in the basement of the building. It was a short drive to downtown. The grounds and living space were immaculate. If you haven’t been to Traverse City you need to book this home. We will be back to enjoy more time here.

We absolutely loved this property! Six women enjoyed hanging out together in the spacious and open kitchen/living area. Very nicely appointed, super clean and had everything we needed! It was great to be able to enjoy shopping and restaurants without ever leaving our building. Other places to explore were super close in the complex too. It was just a short drive to downtown TC! We wish the weather would have been a little better so that we could enjoy the huge balcony more (but we did hang out there a bit, just had to wear our coats). Would stay again!

Simply put… this condo was a great place for my sister’s and I to reconnect and spend quality time together. It’s very artistically decorated and super quiet. And yet, just down a few floors there are restaurants, shops, and a great tour of the asylum history. We couldn’t have asked for a better place. The beds are comfortable and there’s high quality furnishings. Thank you Elizabeth for your thoughtful gift and hospitality. 💜
P. S. The elevator worked perfectly every time!

Great place to stay with wine and coffee right outside your door. Host was very accommodating, texted us when condo was available as we requested an earlier check in if available.

When a good friend invited our group to his wedding at a resort in Glen Arbor, MI, we decided to look for accomodations in Traverse City so we could explore all that the area had to offer. I would definitely consider this condo to be the 3rd floor luxury "penthouse" of the Village at Grand Traverse Commons and it was perfect for our group of six. We were amazed by the history of the Commons as well as the beauty of the condo itself. The large kitchen, living area and balcony provided more than enough space for everyone to spread out. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony and people watching as they entered all the shops and restaurants on the ground floor below us.
There are numerous shops and restaurants on the ground floor of the Commons but keep in mind that most of them close by 9pm. The Commons is a quiet area after hours. Our group made this mistake one evening and got locked out of the building. Thankfully our host Beth was quick to respond and helped us get back to our room. My advice for those looking to book adventures in the Commons is to book them well in advance of your stay. We would have loved to take a formal tour of the building but many of those were booked out weeks in advance. Even the Red Spire Brunch House downstairs was regularly filled.
Overall, this was an amazing location to explore and experience a real piece of Traverse City history. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Spacious, clean and cheerful condo. The balcony was private and offered a wonderful outdoor setting. We were able to walk to the wedding venue and enjoyed the local businesses.

Beautiful and interesting building
The pictures on VRBO do not do justice. The ceiling heights make the property so interesting. A fun stay and a great location. We would stay again.

Location is excellent!
Quiet and beautiful condo with close proximity to Traverse City downtown and both penisula's for wine touring. Loved Trattoria Stella's for Italian in the lower level of the building. This place is super clean with lots of touches that the host added making it special experience.

The condo was perfect for our small group friend reunion. A bedroom for each, upscale furnishings, and very tasteful decorations made our stay easy and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped although I confess no cooking was attempted. We had a beautiful spring weekend so spending time on the spacious balcony was an added bonus.
The elevators for the building are pretty cranky; neither were operating when we arrived which was the only issue we had. At least one was working for the rest of our stay so pack light just in case!

This property is astounding! Located in beautiful Building 50 of the Village at Grand Traverse Commons, it is ideally situated to explore this historic property. Without going outside, you can shop in the Mercato, dine at a few restaurants, even grab coffee. Short outside walks to so much more. The condo itself is gorgeous and extremely well-appointed. The main living space was wonderful for our party of 6 adults to relax together, while each couple had a spacious bedroom. Lots of small details made everything a breeze. Hope to stay here again!
