This 3 bedroom home was custom designed to make your stay perfect in every way. The main house has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a modern open concept design. The chef’s kitchen includes everything you need to make the most complicated meal. Dine inside or outside and enjoy the serene surroundings.
The open living room includes a built-in day bed that will comfortably sleep, 2 children or one adult. Separate from the main home is a lovely casita that includes a queen-sized bed and its own bathroom. The casita has a Palapa roof that will remind you that you are in Mexico and yet have all the modern conveniences of a luxury hotel.
The home is surrounded by a tall privacy fence that encloses the pool and hot tub, along with the outdoor kitchen. Listen to the waterfall that flows into the pool and sleep peacefully away from any road noise. Walk out of any room into the garden area and you will never want to leave. The home and casita will comfortably sleep 7 adults or 6 adults and 2 young children.
A new viewing area has been added to the rooftop of this jungle oasis. It is the perfect place to appreciate views of the island. This unique property will give you everything you need to enjoy everything that Isla Mujeres has to offer.

This was my first time visiting this beautiful home and came highly recommended by a friend who has stayed in the home on 3 separate occasions. This home is thoughtfully decorated and welcoming. The home was clean and just far away enough from the hustle and bustle of the main streets.

The property was a great size and location for us and we generally really liked it for our stay. The only slight issue was the quality of the decked area outside which was a bit rotten in places which made it a bit dangerous. However, we did love it and would defintely stay again. The cat was a character and stayed with us when we were outside.

We loved Casa Mayaland and the southern island area! We had everything we needed, well stocked and beautiful, safe property. Will definitely return! Ice cold AC and the pool were great after long days in the sun!

What a great space for vacation. The outdoor living area is absolutely gorgeous. The house is fully stocked with anything you need. Very quiet neighborhood and off the beaten path. We enjoyed our stay very much!!

Everything about Mayaland was great! Such a nice place to relax. I know other reviews talk about "Gato" but she is cool and greeted us upon every return. I to am allergic to cats so pet her with a stick, she likes that!

We were at Mayaland the end of Dec 2023 into the new year.
Overall a pleasant stay. Team was very responsive when we had questions or issues.
2 areas of concern:
1. The water pressure wasn't the best. They did come to fix it but not all showers had better pressure after.
2. There is a cat on the premises which was not noted in the listing. They got rid of it for a few hours the first day but it came back and did not leave the whole 6 days we were there.
There were signs posted on the property not to feed the cat but we did see cat food in the house. Which means the owner knows of the cat.
If you are afraid of or allergic to cats, please be aware. My husband is allergic so he was sneezing alot while we were there but the cat didn't bother us too much.

There is nothing we wanted for. I booked this property for 2 couples. We wanted a little oasis to relax in and thats exactly what we got. It was so clean, very comfortable, and had an excellent vibe. We were happy to be down at the quiet end of the island, and enjoyed the drive along the water when we wanted to go to Centro or the Colonias. I have no complaints about the property at all. The hot tub never got more than a few degrees warmer than the pool, but this was not an issue for us at all. I would book again in a heartbeat. Wish I was still there! For us, the best bonus was the kitty that lived in the yard, very friendly and adorable. She's not allowed in the house, so if you have allergies, no worries.

This property was so beautiful and well kept. It comfortably fit 7 of us and we had a blast. The directions for the place from the ferry dock was clear and understandable. Our host was super communicative. 10/10 no notes.

Gorgeous property in an “off the beaten path” location. Which was perfect for our family (6 adults and 1infant). We rented a golf cart for the duration of our stay, this is a must for any kind of exploring and shopping. There is no phone in the house for local calls, so unless you have a Mexico phone/data plan you cannot contact cabs or order food. The wifi was mostly very good, but at times non existent, so again you were stuck if you didn’t have your own plan to call cabs or food. This is not a complaint, but just advice. It is truly great to be away from the busy area and just enjoy your family.
Kitchen was the best of any place we have ever rented, and we have been renting for years. Very well equipped and lacked for nothing, so if you plan to cook a lot, as we did, it is perfect.
The outdoor space is great. The deck is in need of some repairs however and was a little unsafe for an 11 month old baby. Pool area is amazing, we emptied the skimmer ourselves once or twice a day because there is a lot of foliage. We also swept the deck area often, again because of the infant and large amount of tree droppings. If there was any negative, it was probably this. In the 9 days we stayed, the pool staff only showed once and did minimal cleaning. Same with the gardener. The debris took away from how spectacular the space is.
Any issues we did have were addressed promptly and resolved very quickly.
Overall, we would not hesitate to rent again.

Beautiful property! This was our second time on the island and we had another wonderful experience. Quiet neighborhood. The house had everything we were looking for our vacation. Check in was easy and efficient. Place was clean and kitchen had everything you would need for functioning kitchen. A/C worked well. Plenty of room for 6 people. Pool and hot tub are awesome. We loved this place. Only issue we had was how to start the oven. No temperature dial so had to guess but it worked out.
We will definitely be back to Isla Mujeres and we would definitely stay at Mayaland again!

Check in with Jan was great! The house on the inside was as pictured. The outside was way out dated. I fell through the deck by the bbq pit just walking and busted my leg. It’s all weak wood over there. The pool was dirty with leaves on the top and bottom. I called maintenance and the number didn’t match the booklet inside. Emailed and they did respond promptly to clean the pool. They only skimmed the top and left the bottom full of leaves. The 2nd day there we got in the pool and played some music but it was all before 9pm and the neighbor to the right looking at the gate threatened to call the cops on us for music. We are in our 45-55 range and we’re not crazy loud. The other side of neighbors were great! I do not go on vacation to sit in the house! I would remove the suitcase showing under the 2nd bedroom in the house wrapped in Saran Wrap as it made everyone feel uncomfortable. We called for a massage in the book and the number was not the right one. The booklet inside needs updated for sure. The day before we left they cleaned the pool great but it should be cleaned before arrival. I texted Jan for he is a masseuse our last night there and he showed and and gave a great massage! I will not return to this property. Inside of the house stays cold and utilities worked great.

This property is stunning. The house is as it looks in the pictures beautiful and spacious. House was clean, the a/c worked great, and had no issues. It’s out of the hustle of the city but not far from anything you would need. We would definitely stay here again. Jean and Alex were awesome hosts!!

Me and family had a bless time at this property the island was a pleasant beautiful the house was far from center and playa Norte but better was 20 min to get there in a golf cart the restaurants and food excellent muelle 7 restaurante is the best restaurant, house have everything you can inmagent very confortable so happy to be there

Our normal spot on the island wasn't available, so we booked with Casa Mayaland. It was a wonderful experience. The compound is amazing. Once you walk through the gate, you are literally in your on little resort. The main house is very nice and has all the amenities. It has two very nice bedrooms. The master bedroom has a bathroom in the bedroom. The other bedroom is adjacent to the bathroom. Both rooms have lats of storage and closet space. The AC's work really good. The Casita is a bedroom with bathroom included. AC also works very well. The Casita is cover by a huge palapa. The pool and hot tub are very nice and the hottub works great. The first night it wasn't getting hot but Alex, the maintenance guy, came right over the next day and reset the unit. It worked just fine after that. We had a local chef come cook two meals for us and she said it was one of the nicest kitchens on the island. There is also a grill and outside dorm room fridge. Highly recommend Casa Mayaland.

Third visit to isla, by far this was the best property we have stayed at to date. Secluded interior street 90 second walk to the main roadway. Two bedroom inside, one bedroom self contained unit in outdoor building.
Rooftop patio affords all day sunlight, view of the ocean.
Property has a pool with spiller hot tub, barbecue area and an outdoor covered area to dine in in case it rains. Kitchen is large and has all the amenities minus a dishwashwer. Plenty of dishes, bowls, cutlery glasses, etc. main floor laundry, large bathrooms giid water pressure etc etc. list goes on
Would definitely rent here again, only detractor was the barbecue which needs an upgrade

This house worked perfect for the 8 of us over Christmas. Jennifer was very sweet and patient waiting for us when were late getting to island do to transportation. Both Jennifer and owner were fast in responding with any issues or questions we had.
House will sleep 7 comfortably , with 2 in each room, 2 in casita, and one on couch bed in living room. Could do 2 on couch if small children.
We loved the location of the house since it’s with in walking distance of El Borracho Burro. Also super close is the Joint and Kin Ha beach club among others. We had golf carts so getting around was a breeze. If you like the hustle and bustle of plya Norte, this is not for you. It’s less busy on the south end and we preferred that! Short, maybe 10 to 15 min in golf cart to north end and so much to see and stop at on your way.
House had everything needed for meals if needed. Pool was great, although hot tub was not functioning properly. Owner is aware and will be repairing. They responded so quickly with the issue so no stars removed!
Can be tricky to find at night if you your cab does not speak any English. If you take the first left after El Borracho Burro (I believe there was a sign that said Punta Sure estates or something) on a dirt road, then take your 2nd right, house is down that road on the left.
We will and would definitely rent again depending on our next group size!

House was great, we loved the location. Check in was a bit rough. Instructions are clear if you are taking a taxi but we drove ourselves and only had been provided with Google links. Phone dosent always work on Isla so the links were were useless. We ended up getting help from our golf cart guy, who coincidentally saw us pulled over on the side of the road. My only recommendation would be to provide directions using landmarks…like “navigate to the burracho burrow or the shell house and turn Xxxxx..,ect ect. Other than that, great place. We will likely be back. Thanks!

Beautiful house with a gorgeous backyard where it is very pleasant to spend time at any moment of the day. The pool and jacuzzi are a big plus as well as the bbq area. Very quiet surroundings and only 15 minutes by golf cart from North Beach. Thank you to Jennifer for a very efficient check in. Will go back for sure.

We had a group of 3 couples for the first time on the island for 7 days. The rooms were huge , and a whole separate mini apartment. All rooms had a huge soft king bed with ac and was super clean . Loads of towels for everyone as well. Kitchen had everything we needed and more . Washer and dryer was awesome along with hot tub and pool it felt like we were in the jungle

A very relaxing stay in a quiet and quaint neighborhood within walking distance of Punta Sur. Property manager was very helpful and communicated swiftly. There were a few issues, however, the property manager was quick to respond and correct the things within their control. The water heater wasn't working and needed to be completely replaced. This wasn't resolved before our departure, however, was a combination of needing to contact the homeowner, getting a new one, as well as timing. A suggestion to include instructions about the stove/oven in the binder since the temperature controls no longer have any markings, as well as English instructions for the washer/dryer (although not a huge inconvenience thanks to Google translate 😉).
The house and property very much live up to the photos. The trees provide the perfect coverage and we were able to host a few friends whose pools were in full sun and not at all refreshing. If you’re looking for a quiet place away from all the hubbub and tourists to relax, then this is your place!

Great place for a group to relax
A group of us decided to stay here for a friends birthday, it was very relaxing compared to the North part of the island. It was everything we needed and the communication with the property manager was prompt and we could not have asked for better communication. We would highly recommend and stay there again (we rented a golf cart which was key to getting around but the manager offered a taxi service upon our exit). Thank you!!!

Looks good but be prepared
This home could not have been cuter! Beautiful pool and hot hot tub! Very beautiful garden, boho vibes and cool furnishings. Felt safe and was in a very nice area. Check-in process was easy and we were met at the home upon arrival. After purchasing groceries our fridge broke and we contacted maintenance guy, he came right away but couldn’t fix it, so all of our groceries went bad. Next up the wash machine stopped working. I’m honestly not sure if they even attempted to fix that but it still was not working when we left, nor was the fridge - which smelled terrible even though we cleaned it. Then the last part got bad - sewage started backing up into the shower in the small casita. The maintenance guy came to clean and attempt to repair situation but it continued the next 2 days. We never heard back from him after he came the first time and our friends had to pack up their belongings and move from their private casita into the living room in the main house and sleep on the couch. We still haven’t heard from property manager, but it was a bummer considering it smelled like sewage and our friends we’re celebrating their anniversary and ended up sleeping on the couch.
It’s island life though, things go wrong and need fixing, not everything can be remedied instantly. However it would have been appreciated if we would have been responded to about the inconveniences of all these things happening. We had several other friends staying in the same neighborhood too with much worse situations like - No water for the week, no power, flushing toilets with buckets of pool water. So it could always be worse, but be prepared that things might not go smoothly.

Amazing property! Absolutely beautiful
We had a party of 6 and we absolutely loved this property! Pictures do not do it justice! The beds were very comfortable! And the pool was definitely needed on those hot days and the jacuzzi was perfect to relax in at night. The concerige Nehim was easy to get in touch with and very helpful. Highly recommend Casa Mayaland!!

The property is wonderful and the check in process was super easy. We were a little early and yet the management team was happy to let us get in early and drop off our luggage while they finished cleaning the house for our stay.
The bedrooms are super comfortable and the house was extremely clean.
A member of the staff showed up every morning to pick up the leaves around the pool and wash off the area.
The property is located at a great location on a quiet street away from the main streets where it's a bit loud.
The garage fits 2 golf carts easily.
I 100% recommend this property!!!

Good overall
We enjoyed this property. There were a few of minor issues, but overall it was a great vacation. My only complaints were a large piece of ugly exercise equipment in the master bedroom and poor communication with the property manager while trying to resolve an internet outage for a couple of days. Another minor request would be better seating around the table. The small stools make it difficult to use the table. The outdoor space was excellent.

Amazing little home away from home
One of the first things I told Santiago, the property manager, is that they needed to take new pics. I had low expectations only because that's the norm with pics of rentals. The pics usually look better then the real deal. Not even remotely so in this case! The house and cabana are amazing and so is the pool! Everything was clean and beautiful and we had plenty of room for the five of us. My dad stayed in the extra room that was separate from the main house and had lots of privacy and room. It was nice and quiet and off the main road so you couldn't hear anything. We really enjoyed being able to cook our own meals and hang out in the pool without dealing with crowds. Gabriela was my main contact before the trip and she was fabulous, always quick to respond and helpful. They do offer a grocery pick up service, which I would recommend because by the time you get to the island after going through customs, it's nice to not have to worry about rushing to the store. Santiago met us at the house and went over everything and gave us a tour. He was our contact during the trip and was also quick to respond and helpful. The house is on the south end of the island and most of the major part of the island is on the north side. This made it nice and private but keep this in mind when planning things as it takes about 20 minutes to get to the north side in a golf cart. Many of the places we went to only take pesos so I do recommend that you go to Banamex (they had the best rates) after you get off the ferry and expect to spend about $1400 pesos for a family of 5 for meals. If you don't want to use the ATM you MUST have your passport to exchange with a live person as they won't accept a picture. There is a great place called The Joint that is on the south side near the house. It is an outside bar/grill and they have a wonderful band that plays a lot of Bob Marley and some other stuff too. Really good food and super friendly people. Overall we had an amazing time and I would highly recommend staying here!
