Amazing property and staff!

Beautiful property. The rooms were amazing and the pools and common areas were Beautiful. The staff was superb. Everyone did their best to make sure you had a wonderful stay. Great breakfast as well.

Absolutely Incredible!!

It is not only a stunning resort - It is the incredible high levels of hospitality and customer service, the flavorful food and drinks, the utmost attention to detail, the friendliness and courtesy from every staff member calling you by name… a personable experience! We’ll definitely recommend this oasis and will be back!

Exclusive Resort catering to your needs

W Playa Conchal is a high end all inclusive resort that caters to the needs of its guests. If you are looking for a cheap, rowdy party resort to overindulge - this isnt for you. The staff were simply outstanding and genuinely friendly, wanting to ensure our stay was exceptional. Their were so many staff members that were outstanding it would be unfair to name one individually. The 3 restaurants provided excellent meals and catered to specific dietary requirements. We highly recommend purchasing the all inclusive package to include meals and drinks. We loved our room with the spacious bathroom, balcony and very comfortable bed. The pools were excellent and close to the beach which was pristine and uncrowded. We had a very relaxing week at W Conchal, and although it is our first time to the beautiful country of Costa Rica, it wont be our last and definitely we will be returning to W Playa Conchal

Luxury meets Wildlife

me and my husband Loved everything about this resort. it was our 5th year anniversary and this place was perfect. The room we had was very spacious with a balcony pool that looked over to the “Jungle” and ocean. so we saw the monkeys every morning and Beautiful Birds. The room was super clean and very well kept. this resort is spotless all over. it only have 3 restaurants but the food was amazing very flavorful not like any resort food I’ve ever had. we took extra food to the room every night. the staff is very polite and caring 10/10. service is amazing we loved James one of the servers their and Rodney a bartender there. the entertainment is the only thing that they can use more of. But me and My husband did a private tour that we booked at the resort it was a little pricey but we really enjoyed ourselves without the crowds. That’s the only place I felt like they could really do more of is have more activities on the resort. But this place is very peaceful and relaxing. I will most definitely be coming back. P.S this place is a perfect mixture of Luxury meets wild life.

This is an amazing, beautiful and fun resort located on one of the most special beaches in Costa Rica. the room was clean, the staff was kind and welcoming all the time. the pools and areas in the hotel are absolutely perfect for anyone wishing to have a good escape. highly recommended.

The food and beverage can get pricy during the stay, so that should be taken into consideration

Beautiful spacious property overlooking the Ocean & playa Conchal- Service was very good & professional! The story behind the restaurant and lobby design is very interesting and love that it reflects Costa Rican people, culture & History!

My Mojito was a little pricy at the beach front bar but the view and service was excellent!

Loved it and hope to come again

Loved this place. Close your eyes and imagine the best hotel you could possibly stay at. See it? This is it.

We bought all inclusive and it was sometimes a bit confusing what was actually included and what was not. At check out the staff was really pleasant though.

A picture isn't always what it seems

The staff were extremely friendly. The grounds were well maintained and golf carts could take you around property.

I first booked this property last December but had to cancel until now. Your description of property was totally bogus. The picture of that big pool was a nice picture but the reality was a small pool 4,5 feet deep and not big enough for all the guests and the same for lounge chairs there were not enough of them because of pool size. The other pool was for kids. It was ten feet wide and about seventy feet long. The beach was ok but they couldn't put umbrellas up because of wind. To top it off the waters were experiencing a red tide. Restaurants; instead of the 11 you named and explained the various types of food there were only three! The food was ok but nowhere near what we were expecting. Because of your bogus review it made the trip very disappointing.

Nice Hotel but it doesn't invite you to return

The premises are fantastic, the surrounding breathtaking nature is unbelievable, as all of the nature in Costa Rica is! Of course, Playa Conchal where the hotel is, is the best beach in all of Guanacaste (northern province of Costa Rica) with its white sands and turquoise blue water, you can only be grateful that you are there and cannot ask for more! The room was awesome in every way. Magnificent ocean view, dual shower heads, a super comfortable king size bed, big balcony, big sized room! Friendly staff!

The cocktails suck. They need to use natural products to make them. There's a man on the beach with a small icebox who sells cocktails that are a trillion times better. This food is so so. I mean for the type of hotel that it is, and for what you pay per night, the food and drinks and service must be spectacular always and it isn't the case. In the night at the bar of the main building they had live music, which I should call dead music because it was super boring. They need to make people feel like they coming back to life! The place is fantastic but there's no ambience! I don't mean to destroy the hotel reputation, so take it as constructive criticism to make things better. Overall the hotel is great but it is worth revising the quality of the food and drinks which are essential to the reputation of any hotel chain!

Superb

The breakfast was pretty good (except I missed mango and the quality of bread were weak). The entire hotel is well organised, the rooms are well equipped and comfortable, the beach is Wonderfull but very dangerously wavy sometimes.

The only thing that we hated was the Friday music at lunchtime and Saturday music at lunchtime too. It was a mixture of rock and techno. And it was incredibly loud . Noone liked , noone enjoyed it but management said that was Mariott signature music. We escaped first time from the central area, second time from the beach.

We had a fantastic vacation here. the staff of the W went way beyond their call of duty and were always happy to assist

luxurious, comfortable and very clean!

Our room was on the end of Tower 1 and the wind was whipping around the building and made it noisy at times.

Excellent place, definitely the best hotel in the area, we are planning to come back.

Great, well-trained, helpful staff. Beautiful surroundings, very well maintained hotel. Excellent food throughout the day. Both pool areas are wonderful, the beach is appealing as well.

The rooms are designed for guests for shorter stays, there is simply not enough space (cupboard, shelves) to unpack if you come for more than 3-4 days.

Absolutely nothing

Location is too far from the beach. The architecture is weird. Room’s planning is awkward. Pretentious overpriced LA venue with outdated vibe of 2000s mistakenly located on the beautiful beach of Costa Rica. Poor unfriendly and anti-human, non-personal service with a number of flaws, mishaps and even what can seem as a fraud. Good place to stay if you are very non-pretentious, better drunk or intoxicated and want to hear loud techno music the whole day.
