Built in 1820 this first floor flat originally formed part of the regional bank manager's apartments. Fully and tastefully modernised in recent years, it retains several original features. Its location - on South Street and immediately opposite the historic Holy Trinity Church - places you right at the heart of the beautiful and historic town of St Andrews. Two beaches, the harbour, cathedral and castle, Scotland's oldest university (over 600 years old) and the world famous home of golf, the Old Course, are all minutes walk away and you will find an array of interesting shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs almost on your doorstep. At the back of the property, you can enjoy a lovely, secluded garden. This is a perfect base for golfers or for exploring Fife, its fishing villages, Edinburgh, Dundee, Falkland Palace, Glamis Castle or the beautiful Angus Glens. You will have a wonderful holiday here.

Our stay in St. Andrews exceeded all expectations. Tucked in the heart of the town, it offered an unbeatable location with the iconic St. Andrews Cathedral just steps away. Spacious living area, very well equipped kitchen , relaxing rainforest shower, 2 airy and light bedrooms plus an A1 location added up to a wonderful week away. Our hosts communicated frequently before arrival and left thoughtful welcoming gifts of flowers milk and wine. Parking was never a problem despite daily drives to the links courses. Fantastic location also meant an easy walk to the castle, cathedral and harbour as well as the many shops and restaurants. We would definitely return!

We have stayed at this flat a couple of times and plan to return in the future, it is as described and Mark and Vivien are great hosts who will reply promptly to any queries. The location is perfect for the bars restaurants and beaches on offer in St Andrews.

Super first floor flat convenient for all St Andrews has to offer. Bars, restaurants, supermarkets and bus station all within a five minute walk. Excellent shower and comfortable beds makes this place a great place to stay.

Everything you need for a stay in St Andrews. The host is very nice. The bathroom is updated and kitchen has basic supplies like coffee and sugar and milk provided by the host for an easy transition. The garden is lovely and living room very comfortable. Perfect for parents and two kids.

Lovely apartment in the centre of St Andrews with a great outlook over South Street. Very comfortable and so relaxing. Thanks to Mark and Vivienne for early check in, lovely wine, milk and meeting us at the flat then showing us free parking. I would highly recommend this property

Amazing weekend, apartment was excellent, location is great, right in the heart of the town. The garden was excellent for my dog who had a ball running about the bushes. Mark was an excellent host, and we really appreciated the early check in and the wine and milk that he left. We will definitely book again we we come to St Andrews

After our summer holiday was cancelled & it looked like lockdown was easing, we were keen to spend some time in our go to place - St Andrews! We came across this little gem of a place and ideally could be booked for short stays. Our hosts met us on arrival and after a tour of the flat and garden we treated the property as a home away from home for the duration of our stay. Everywhere was clean and tidy, fresh towels and bedlinen, a stocked kitchen and plenty of space for all your clothes (wet clothes sometimes lol). The location of the property is fantastic, eight in the heart of St Andrews. Our car didn't move from when we parked up to when we came home. Can't recommend highly enough and hope to book again. Thanks again to our kind hosts Mr & Mrs Batho. The Shaws

My stay was only successful because the property manager went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. I loved the flat and we had everything we needed for our stay. The location is amazing and I hope I will be staying again in the future. My plans changed at the last minute due to Coronavirus and the property manager was amazing during my stay.

Mark and Vivienne--We three adults thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your flat in St. Andrews 30/Sept. to 7/Oct., 2019. It is roomy and very comfortable. Your recommendations of the butcher on Bell St. and the fishmonger Tail End on Market St. near the Tesco were spot on. We did some serious cooking in that very well equipped kitchen. The welcome supply of basic groceries was so helpful. After the first morning when my husband walked and carried his clubs to The Old Course to play a round, we continued to confirm the value of a good location all week. Morning walks along the water before dawn were a highlight daily. We thank you for all the info in the notebooks; it enriched our stay, and we have left some additional materials for future travelers. We loved the DVD assortment and watched movies in the evenings.
