Would stay again if I was out on the lower floor

Comfortable bed and close to Hyde Park

No stairs and we were on the top floor. Receptionist at the sister hotel The Westbourne was the most miserable hotel employee I have come across

Good place to spend a night or two but only if you can climb stairs

The room itself was delightful , spotlessly clean , newly decorated with good A/C as well as a window that opened . Also charming staff, including the person who carried my case up and down for me . A great location, only minutes from paddington station .

no elevator … ! 80 stairs to my room on the top floor No warning . This was the only room left when I arrived .

Simple and calm in London

Location is perfect: 5 minutes walk from Paddington railway station, Paddington underground and LancasterGate underground station. The Hyde Park is just around the corner. It is like living away from the crowd even if it is so close to the crowded area. Room is clean: the room is cleaned everyday. Rubbish collected everyday, everything refreshed. Air conditioned, equipped with kettle,and coffee machine ,refrigerator is very helpful.

Great room but upper floors a challenge. dissapointed at the service, receptionists not to blame.

Location

the 79 steps with no lift and no porterage. When I booked I requested a ground floor room and we ended up on the top floor with a very long and arduous climb with our luggage. This should be emphasised in the description.

Beautiful location and great staff but lacks elevator and front desk coverage

The staff were extremely nice and helpful especially at the sister hotel across the street

No elevator and we were on the top floor The front desk is only staffed a few hours a day. The website didn’t even hint at these issues

the partners hotel wouldn’t let me in early I had to stay very long time and the were not very accommodative but thanks to the nice guy who came later zulfaqar he managed finally to check me in

Very good place, and location.

The room was clean and the place very quiet. We really enjoyed the 5 nights there. The location was also perfect to visit the city, without having to spend jours on the subway. We will come back!

The walls are quiet thin, we heard our neighbors coming and going when there were speaking to each other (yelling was not necessary to hear them).

quiet hotel for one night stopover.

convenient location and easy ride to Heathrow from Paddington, better than am staying at airport

excellent room but no other services on site, sister hotel over road. took scan of personal documents as uk resident. fortunately we had passport as on way to airport.

Superb

The location is really good and rooms were spacious and clean. Beds was comfy and everything worked. You needed to check in at the sister hotel on opposite side of the street, which was no problem. They were very helpful!

Not worth the price

It was a close walk to Paddington station so it was easy to get to and from Heathrow. That was the only positive thing about this hotel.

I never write reviews and travel all the time, but I am blown away that there are ANY positive review about this hotel. My room was in the basement and was very dark, it was also next to the housekeeping room. Housekeeping was very noisy from early in the morning and the walls are paper thin with vacuums going, so good luck sleeping. The rooms are also outdated and have visible damage throughout - it's clear that there has been zero upkeep. Nobody helped me with my heavy luggage and there are only stairs in the hotel - the hotel should be more explicit about this when booking, so please beware if you are unable to lug your bag up and down narrow staircases by yourself! I was also woken up at 4am to the smell of someone smoking in the room next to me. The response from the staff was that they would ask someone to look into this the following day (not sure how that is an acceptable response).
