Good location, cool design inside for the dorm all open so everyone is in the same room. You shouldn’t be spending much time in the room anyway in Taman Negara

- Personal was da war konnte kein Wort Englisch
- Sitz Möglichkeiten waren gut aber ein Kissen wäre schon nice gewesen und bequemer

Ann the owner is super kind and nice.

Anne was a fantastic host who helped book our tour and also advised us on places to visit outside of Taman Nagara. The beds were spacious and comfortable and the hostel is super social in the most convenient area for tours. Would 100% stay again, love you Anne!

The location was good and the dorm wasn’t too hot.
There was no cooking allowed which wasn’t stated. I’d brought food with me to save on money but then I wasn’t allowed to use the hob and there was no kettle so I couldn’t even have instant noodles. The only thing available to buy at the hostel is beer so if you want drinking water you have to get it from the shop and make sure you have enough for overnight and the morning.

Ann is really welcoming and helpful, location is great
I was in the corner bed, and there was no fan, so it was very hot when the AC wasn't on, and when it was on, it was freezing because I was right under it! needed 2 blankets

Anne is the best host - so friendly, funny and accommodating; comfortable beds; nice chill social area in the evenings

The owner, Ann, is very kind and super helpful with giving advice and suggestions of things to do. The accommodation is clean and situated closely to many things such as the jetty, the mini marts, and various places to eat.

Ann is the best host I ever had in a hostel. She makes you feel at home and cares for everyone and everything. She organizes any tour for you and gives the best advice to have a great time. The dorm is cozy and clean. Would definitely recommend to stay here.

Nice host and good location!

Very friendly owner, good social place to get tours into the jungle. Good hostel overall.
Charged RM10 for keeping my backpack while I was on the jungle tour. It's ok but I wasn't aware of that before and usually hostels keep the bag for free when someone comes back afterwards.

Ann, the host, is the most lovely and helpful person I have come across in my 6 months of travelling. She helped organise my hikes and transport and even supplied a bag to go hiking with over 2 days. the hostel itself is great and very social, the rooms are comfortable, she can supply beers. I couldn’t recommend the place enough
Nothing, it was great

Super friendly staff and nice to meet people! Capsules give you a lot of privacy.
I know host is really making an effort but the air circulation feels like a problem, I had to wash all my clothes after leaving because they smelled like those mothballs.
I didn’t like it too much that there were not even flipflops allowed in the rooms.

Agosto is the perfect place to stay when going to Taman Negara, and Ann the hostess is the kindest human being who definitely makes the stay even better. She’s always ready to help and she’s great to have a chatter with. I had a great time staying there and met a lot of amazing people!

The woman from the hostel was really sweet and we liked her very much! She helped us with everything!
Nothing, it was really good!

Ann, the owner, was ever-present and more than happy to give some good advice or just have a friendly chat. You can book the same tours here for the same price as at the little office where the tours start out from. I had a few lovely evenings, too, sitting on the little verandah and talking to the other guests who had just checked in or returned from a trek through the jungle. It's a social and relaxing hostel, not too loud, not too quiet.
The amenities were a bit basic, which is forgivable in the jungle, but what put me off a bit was the damp smell in the dorm room. Sure enough, this was due to a leakage, and fans are constantly blowing to get fresh air in. To get to the showers, you have to go outside. All in all, this is a nice social hostel, but not too luxurious. Ann was happy to provide me with an extra blanket when I asked for it, and is a better cook than she claims to be!

Staying in Ann’s place was very nice. The place is not fancy but just what the “jungle” village needs and it makes experience complete. The terrace was wonderful place where you can chat with Ann and other travelers. Ann was really nice and attentive to everyone in her hostel. Whatever you need, she will help you out.
You can book great tour at her places with the best guides. This is very important for the best experience. I suggest you to stay at least 3 nights so the first day you can relax in the village or do a hike by yourself, for the evening you can book a night jungle walk for 40 MYR - we had a very nice guide (forgot his name but he had a broken arm recently). This is nice introduction into the jungle. for the next day I booked 2D1N tour into the jungle. Our guide was Epi - we really enjoyed and loved him. He made our tour indescribably better. This is something I highly recommend to all. And ask for Epi, because he is the best.
Anyway, back to the hostel: location is great, close to the bus station or micro port (if you arrive by boat or go to the national park). Close by is also very nice place to eat all your meals - Anne Restaurant.
Taman Negara will always be one of my favorite experiences ever - when I come back, will definitely stay at Anns place again.

The host is lovely, engaging with everyone, helping, she’s super, has strict rules to support cleanliness of space and wellbeing of all guests; nice space outside for socializing, close to boat bus and boat services, host can help with booking trips, close to Ann restaurant (best in town).
The place is very very basic and feels very tight, no real space to move in the dorm, no windows/natural light, no fresh air (but it’s not uncommon in other places i stayed in MY). Not a problem if you’re there just for sleep.

In this place, the people are always the best. The presence of the owner and the chilling rea also helps create the atmosphere.

Ann is such a lovely woman who will make you feel at home immediately. She is very helpful in providing information on activities in the surroundings. Furthermore, the room was very clean and the beds were comfortable.

The host is very friendly and they have a very cute cat. The dorm is clean.
The bed and pillow are VERY hard. The rest of the accomodation is very basic and the airconditioning only goes on as of 6PM.
