Très belle maison au milieu du Douro

L'appartement était parfait! Tout ce qu'il faut pour une escapade dans la vallée du Douro. Les hôtes étaient réactifs, le boulanger qui klaxone le matin, la piscine, et contrairement à certains commentaires, la maison était bien fléchée! Merci beaucoup pour ce séjour!

Superbe séjour dans la vallée du Douro

Villa très calme, belle vue sur le Douro. Moderne avec tous les équipements nécessaires. A 15 minutes de Pinhaos. Propriétaire réactif et sympathique.

Peu de commerces à proximité, à anticiper lors de votre venue.

The perfect place to stay with an incredible view

Wow wow wow what a view. The accommodation was spacious and fabulous, a comfortable bed, the kitchen was well equipped with everything you need. We really enjoyed our stay we felt like we were on top of the world with the amazing view. The road up there is an experience as it is exceptionally narrow and steep but our little hire car chugged up there in first gear. Once you have been up and down a couple of times you get use to the road. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great stay!

Great location and house. Modern without being too sterile. The house was well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay! Paula was extremely kind and helpful! ☺️

A sunscreen by the pool could be a plus. And the pool was a bit cold at our visit in end April (but we never spoke to the housekeeper about it, maybe it could have been solved that way - she's extremely kind!)

Amazing views and home!

Everything was fantastic. The views were amazing as you are high up in the hills. The place was very clean, bed was super comfortable, swimming pool was such a nice bonus. Everything worked great. The property is about 6 miles from the center of Pinhao. To get to the property, you drive 2 miles up a hillside. If you don’t mind the drive and staying a bit out of the town center, book this place, it was awesome!

Superb

Very clean, modern, spacious. Extra bathroom was a treat, shower was very good. Fun to be so up high in the hills and watch the day begin and the city lights at night.

Though the views from the windows are lovely, the house is positioned so the big windows in the living room and bedroom face the back. Be prepared for views from smaller windows--best views when standing up. Just a surprise for us based on other reviews.

Excellent stay, relaxing and beautiful.

Large property with excellent garden and swimming pool, very quiet village, with great viewpoints. The host gave us some fruits from the garden. Large rooms, all new and clean.

Warning: you have to bring all the food with you. It seems that there are no restaurants or grocery shops in the village. Also: when driving in the village, follow the signs on the walls to the hotel, Google maps leads to a very narrow street with uncomfortable turns.

Great place.

the place is really beautiful. The view to the Douro Valley is amazing. The villa is quite new, simply but well furnished, the garden is well thought, it gives you really a very pleasant feeling to arrive to the villa. the lady who takes care of the house is very nice, I don’t know though if she speaks English. the driving up to the villa is a bit difficult but nothing impossible, just be aware. As mentioned in other reviews buy your grocery in some bigger village close buy. We really liked the place, very is definitely something special about it and definitely we would like to come back.

There is not really anything negative to say.

In one word - Perfect

Everything! It is a huge place, equipped with all you may need for a long stay. There's a view on a river, a pool, and lots of space outside to play with the kids. The location is perfect IMHO - less than 15 minutes drive from Pinhao, a small, quiet village. Close enough to the center, and far enough from the crowds. The host was very helpful and assisted with everything. Definitely one of the best places I've stayed with the highest value for money. Just perfect - highly recommend!

Exceptional

This was our second time here and hope there will be many more! Perfect gateway for a couple or family, beautiful house and garden, and pool ! Absolutely wonderful house manager Paula and her husband, thank you again! The village is small and provides an opportunity to meet local people, the daily delivery of bread at the door is wonderful arrangement! For larger groceries shopping stop at the neighboring towns before accessing Douro de Valenca.

Fantastic place, such a shame we only stayed 1 night

This villa is one of those gems that you rarely come across. The villa is beautifully designed & furnished, facilities are outstanding and as for the views of the Douro valley: just wow! Sadly we only stayed one night and therefore didn’t fully benefit from time in the lovely pool but there is no doubt that we’ll go back and stay longer another time. Private, off-street parking was also a plus as was Paula who greeted us on our arrival. It made a real difference to have such a welcoming, warm and friendly host!

We should have done our research beforehand but once you reach the villa on the hill top there are no shops, restaurants etc so you definitely need to shop for provisions before you arrive. The drive up the hill was quite tricky (2-seater sports car with low ground clearance) and we ended up scraping the ground a few times.
