Beverly was an amazing host (and artist). The condo was a quick drive to the state park where our friends were camping which was perfect. After a long day of lake-ing it was wonderful to be able to give our dog a bath, hose down all our stuff, and cook outdoors while watching the wildlife. 10/10!

We had a very peaceful and relaxing weekend . The space was very clean and comfortable. Beverly was very kind and got right back to us when we had an issue getting in the apartment. The short walk to the lake made for enjoyable morning coffee and bird watching. Me enjoyed the deer who visited frequently too! Overall a great experience!

Cottage rental
The cottage is tiny. Clean but set up for small(short) people. The lake is only viewable from a tiny opening in the trees distant. Walkway to the lake and shared dock is terrible. Muddy and wet and debris. If your going to see the lake you don’t want to go here.

Great Getaway for Two
We had a great time at this quiet retreat. We enjoyed watching the deer in the back yard and we loved taking the kayaks out in the lake.

cozy quiet apartment
Very quiet, clean, and cozy place to spend a few days at the lake. a short walk to the water and a short drive to local restaurants/stores.
a few tips: 1. check for ticks as there are many deer and bunnies around the premises/neighborhood yards. I found a tiny one on me and a large one on my dog. 2. don't leave items unattended on the dock as it's shared and others can mistakenly or intentionally take your flip flops or towels ;) though they ended up being returned when asked.
FYI - The power goes out during storms or when running 2+ appliances at same time. And trash has to be taken to a designated dump site.
The heat lamp in the bathroom was really great to help dry wet clothes. The bed was very comfortable and having Roku TV was nice.
There is no kitchen sink/dishwasher so having paper plates and plastic utensils was great.
Overall a good and relaxing stay for 2.

Nice place, good for kayaking.
No kitchen sink, so cooking is a challenge. TV screen so small, almost impossible to watch sports. For the money they should upsize.

Excellent stay
Natures retreat was excellent. It was perfect for what we needed. We brought our boat and the dock was perfect. As described it was a short walk to the dock and it had a little kitchenette that worked for us. There is a nice propane grill that we used as well. When we weren’t on the boat we enjoyed seeing all the nature from the back patio. We enjoyed a peaceful stay and I highly recommend nature’s retreat.

Mini Vacation
The property was very peaceful and we really enjoyed all the wildlife. Apartment was great and had everything we needed for the 3 night stay. My girls really enjoyed the kayaks and the private cove was perfect. Description on the posting was very accurate, nothing was misleading. Beverly was also a great host checking in to make sure we always had anything we needed. Would definitely recommend and would return again.

Very clean and quiet. Will stay again!
Quick two day fishing trip with my son. Very close to state park boat launch. Our host was very welcoming with fresh apple muffins and advice from local anglers.

Sad it was only 1 night
Great little getaway in the middle of a hiking excertion... so thankful for allowing my service pup to be with me.. if you're for serenity this is the spot. As someone who loves to cook my meals, it was a challenge with only a microwave lol.

Great Weekend Getaway!
We had a wonderful time at Nature's Retreat! The apartment is cozy and has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The bed is VERY comfortable and the bathroom is nice and big. The yard is huge and you can see deer out there during the late evening/early morning hours. And it was very nice that all the paper products were included for our stay. We would definitely come back!

Very clean, quiet and comfortable.
The apartment was clean, stocked with the necessary paper and cleaning products. The wildlife in the backyard was a treat. The dock was perfect for our rented pontoon boat. We loved sitting on the patio for meals. We’ll be back!

Location was great, just moments from the park and a short walk to a dock in a cove of the lake.
Be prepared for bugs... ants, moths, and other critters. The picture shows the dock next to the house, it's a 100+ yard walk down hill. A bit pricey for a small place. Best to keep to two people, the pull out sofa is uncomfortable.
The kayaks are accessible and the cove is quiet for an easy time on the lake. Neighbors are friendly. Deer munch on the lawn.

Easy, peaceful stay
The basement apartment worked well for us. We ate simple meals, enjoyed the kayaks, and used the grill. It was clean, comfortable, and had the needed supplies. Had to haul our trash down the road a bit. Good walking area, deer everywhere.

Relaxing retreat
We enjoyed the parade of deer throughout the day, the birds and bunnies. The lake dock was a walk through the trees, but the lake was in view. We visited the very close SML State Park and canoed with a group tour on the lake. Loved the very informative visitors center. Took advantage of local wineries. Made do without a kitchen sink or stove using microwave and toaster oven. Grill available. Overall great week.

Perfect for a relaxing get away
We had a wonderful stay at Huddleston! Beverly was very personable, offering advice on places to eat, and information on nearby attractions. We enjoyed the kayaks, and just floating on the lake with our rafts! I especially enjoyed sitting on the porch each morning watching the deer and rabbits run about. I will stay here again when given the opportunity to do so. The apartment was very clean, and spacious considering it just has one bedroom. My family of four fit perfectly for our short stay. I was a little concerned about not having a full kitchen but we were able to eat breakfast and lunch at the apartment daily with no issues. Overall this was a fantastic mini vacation!
