We've added more great family memories in this home! It isbeautiful, perfectly appointed, clean and comfortable-and it is one of the few homes on the lake that can accomodate a wheelchair with help over the one step entry. We have family vacations with teens to grandparents and all of them love hanging out at this house. We have stayed twice and plan to return again next year! Thank you!!

Overall, the house was great for a group of friends: lots of space to visit, a beautiful view, comfortable, and clean. But many of the policies around the management of it left us wanting to not stay here (or possibly with any of the homes managed by this company?) again: we were left with insufficient amounts of toilet paper, when the marginal cost to include a generous supply would be a few dollars and we paid almost ten thousand for the stay; similarly, the sponges were literally half-sized (cut in half?) and difficult to wash anything with due to their diminutive nature. We had to fend for ourselves for a pack-and-play for a toddler, despite it being exactly the kind of home where it would be reasonable to have one, leading us to believe they don't for some similar reason.
We had small qualms with the property itself, most namely that the huge primary window has zero blinds or sheers (retractable or otherwise) meaning that it would be immediately too hot during the morning in the summer, even before anyone was awake. This would be a significant improvement in guest comfort, although it would come at a larger expense than providing full-sized sponges for guests, and if they're too cheap to do that, I wouldn't expect it.
Lots of floating toys were available in the garage; most of them leaked air.

It's a wonderful location and a tidy house. We always enjoy staying at the Crystal Lake View Lodge. However, this year set a record of a bear in front of the house on two separate mornings. Stay alert!

Our family of 4 (18 yo & 15 yo) plus my mother in law and three teenage friends spent 6 days at this Tahoe home. Last summer we rented the Timberland retreat home (see separate review). Both homes are beautiful, clean, well stocked kitchens with a lot of room to spread out. We would have rented the Timberland home again this year but it was unavailable for the week we were to be in Tahoe. Each home boasts a different layout based on your needs - Timberland has large beautiful lot, 1 bathroom for each bedroom. Crystal view has incredible views of the lake and a downstairs living room that the teenagers thoroughly enjoyed taking over as their own. Crystal view has Tahoe park HOA which is the amenity my mother in law enjoys most.
Thank you Tahoe getaways for another amazing Tahoe vacation. We will look forward to next years trip!

The property is not managed appropriate. Right hand doesn't know what left hand is doing!. Too many things went wrong to list: no wifi, water, no shoveling, towels......pretty awful experience! All of this could have been prevented. It's a luxury property with trailer park management. Worst part, management company doesn't care, if only homeowner knew. Please don't waste your money on Tahoe Getaways, it's a scam!

This home would have only rated a 3-star review if not for the incredible views. From the photos, we knew it was going to be dated, but in person it was a little more noticeable. A couple examples are that the carpets (especially on the lower floor) were worse for the wear and rippling in some spots; and the shower pan in the master bath was creaky as if there was damage underneath. Still, it was very comfortable, clean, and roomy with a nice kitchen. The night sky and moonlight across the lake were especially stunning. Since we traveled by air, we did appreciate the beach towels in the laundry room cupboard. Even with the view, we feel it was priced too high in comparison to the other home we stayed in while on our trip, and it does need an interior refresh.

Beautiful view, fine amenities. Neighborhood was quiet. Lack of air conditioning, even in the evening, was an issue, even with fans. We are readers and there were no great reading areas with good lighting. More information on local restaurants and shops would have been helpful.

We were torn between staying at a resort versus renting a house. We ultimately decided we liked the idea of us all being under the same roof however not stating that there was no A/C was very misleading in my opinion. My elderly mother couldn’t stay due to the extreme temperatures and no blinds in the great room which blasted heat. In addition the dishwasher wasn’t working. We called it in the following morning after our first night but no one came. To prepare meals for 8 people and then to have to hand wash every dish was very time consuming and frustrating. It appears the dishwasher probably has not been working for a while as we ended up hand washing dishes we found in the cabinets that had dried food and film on them. This was very disappointing as we would have had a lot more time to enjoy our stay had we not been in the kitchen doing dishes for hours out of our trip. We also ran out of toilet paper within 24 to 48 hours of our trip. We also reported that and someone came and brought more the night before we were checking out. We were under the impression that the basic supplies would be available but there were a lot of kitchen items missing such as plastic wrap and aluminum foil. Lots of empty stuff in the garage including multiple rafts that had holes in them. We blew them up and then discovered they were immediately deflating.
The property and view was gorgeous but for these reasons I feel disappointed about the price we paid.
I really think it should have been in bold print that there was no air conditioning; due to times when the temps are very high in Lake Tahoe like it has been this past week.. I also feel the cleaning fee was very excessive. We hand washed all of our dishes and pans and we left the home in good condition and the amount we were charged on the statement for cleaning was not disclosed and should have been.

Enjoyable vacation house for ski trip
Great mountain house and views. Good location to reach Tahoe city and several ski resorts. Air hockey and Foosball tables were popular with the kids.

We have rented several properties in the Tahoe area and this was by far our favorite. The views speak for themselves while the layout of the house was also perfect for our family with the master/kitchen upstairs and two bedrooms+tv/game room downstairs. Look forward to a return trip !!!

Great spot for a couples trip - breathtaking views!
Really loved this property— stayed here with two other couples and it really has everything you need for a trip to Tahoe. Gorgeous main room and kitchen, and very comfortable beds, etc. We were very pleased with the location and it was overall a great rental for our group. One call out is that there were not many towels at all— could definitely use a bit more, and they seemed a little cheap. Also, the stove did not work (it wouldn’t light) and when we called we were just told to use matches, (which weren’t in the house) and that they’d call us back. Though they were very kind and sweet, that recommendation felt a little unsafe and they never did call us back to check on it. That was really the only downside, which I’m sure they will fix. Otherwise, an incredible property!!

Our family enjoyed our stay very much at this nicely furnished house. We spent a lot of time on the spacious deck with a beautiful view of Lake Tahoe. The sun rise view is spectacular from the house and the sunset colors are very pretty. Access to the private beach was really great since most of the public beach parks were closed along with CA national forests during the week we were there. With a modern kitchen, hot tub and four smart TVs, the house offered everything we could want for a very comfortable vacation home!

OK, the fires and the unusual heat (it hit 90 one day) did not help with the comfort or the air quality, but that was hardly the fault of the management team (although global warning will probably dictate actual air conditioning for most of the summer sometime soon). Beautiful house, plenty of room, and close to everything. The HOA pass to the neighborhood beach was a great addition. One of my family's favorites...

Wonderful stay!
Crystal Lake View Lodge was fantastic. We were there for a week and really enjoyed our stay. Not only was the house exactly what we were looking for; the location was ideal as it was easy access to all the fun summer sport rentals. The staff at Tahoe Getaways was excellent. Anytime we had any questions, they went the extra mile to help. We will definitely be staying here again and will certainly go through Tahoe Getaways to book! Looking forward to our next Tahoe adventure.

Little piece of heaven
This place is simply Amazing!
Everything from the updated kitchen to the comfortable beds to the kids game area and relaxing shower, the crazy thing is that all of these items are not even the best feature of this home. The outside hot tub and the upstairs deck have just a breathtaking view.
This was a perfect gateway that our family was looking for. Can't wait to come back

The house was very luxurious and of course has a fabulous view. Everything was well functioning and clean. The communication was spot on and everyone was very responsive and friendly.
The only minor thing was that it was missing a couple consumables. We could have gotten them before coming, but thought the basics would be provided. In the baths, there were multiple little bottles of shampoo, but very little body wash and no conditioner. In the kitchen, there was no dish sponge or basic spices (salt/pepper). Again, very minor, and overall we had a great stay. We look forward to our next visit. Thanks!

This cabin is amazing! The view of the lake is phenomenal, the entire cabin is very clean, well decorated, spacious, and has all the utilities and supplies needed for a great stay. The hot tub was clean and relaxing. It snowed the day after we arrived, but snow plows took care of the roads the next morning. This is really the best place to safely get away during this crazy year.

Luxury and Comfort with a Big View
My wife and I were looking for a Lake Tahoe view home and Crystal Lake was the perfect choice. It is big enough to accommodate many more people, but the upper floor was perfect for the two of us. We had an issue getting in at night when we toiled over a lock box that was not the official one, but an agent from Tahoe Getaways helped us discover the right one. The views are superb of the north and east shores of the lake. The furnishings and master bed are handsome and comfortable. The remodeled kitchen is perfect and spacious. The lower deck included a hot tub with those spectacular lake views. Cover could be easier to remove and we recommend the simple frame that eases that chore. Master bath is original, but in good condition with great tub with picture window overlooking the lake. Master shower head could use a replacement. Fireplace in the master bedroom was charming and effective in heating the room. Fireplace in the living room was non functional, but should be repaired for the next family. Overall an exdellent experience and highly recommended.

Our Covid Summer
Great house. We spent more than usual but felt we deserved it since our summer European vacation was cancelled. The view is wonderful but, because of the eastern exposure, it gets very warm and sunny as the sun comes up so you need to be strategic with doors and windows open for air flow and fans. We are a party of 4 adults and 4 kids and the size was perfect. The kids were finally off their devices playing air hockey and fusbal in the downstairs bonus room. The HOA beach access is very convenient!
