From the drive thru the gated property you will be in awe of this spectacular villa. The grounds are very well maintained and the salt water pool is beautiful. The villa can accommodate a large and extended families or friends. It is an old but very charming home that is very clean and very comfortable. The location is convenient to many sites and close to large super market.
Our host Emilia was easy to contact and very helpful with recommendations for booking of chefs, massages, and any information needed. We would highly recommend this villa and look forward to returning again.
Thank you Emilia for sharing your home and all your help.

We were a group of 8 adults and 4 children, staying for just one week. The house was very spacious, as was the outdoor space. We spent a lot of time on the covered patio, enjoying meals and wine out there every day. There is also a separate patio with a pingpong table that the kids loved! The bedrooms were of decent size and most were comfortable, though a few could use a new mattress. Kitchen was very well equipped and they even provided wifi extenders for the bedrooms! Property manager and owner were both very responsive to our needs. Overall, it was a great stay and the house was truly beautiful. You can tell that the owners put a lot of love into it!

Our family had a wonderful time in Lucca. The beautiful villa felt like home and was a perfect respite from the summer heat. Everyone enjoyed the salt water pool. There was lots of room to lounge around and relax as well as games to play like foosball and table tennis.
The kitchen felt small compared to our American kitchens but we still cooked together and found everything we needed to put together amazing dinners.
We communicated with Emilia several times throughout our stay and she was fast to respond and very thorough. One of the best experiences I have had with a VRBO owner!
Some of our family are already talking of returning…..What a special time we had!

We stayed here for 10 days on a family holiday . Its a lovely villa, well equipped with an amazing pool. Plenty of room and a nice outside shaded area to relax. The location is excellent for exploring the area & only 15 mins or so from Lucca. The property and grounds are well looked after and Emilia was quick to respond to any queries that we had.

The villa and grounds were beautiful and the location just right for our family to explore Tuscany. The owner and staff made sure every detail was taken care of and were very accommodating when it came to questions and special requests.

We were 3 families that rented the Villa in June. We had a wonderful stay. The home was absolutely charming and large enough to accommodate 3 families (11 people total). It was very clean and we especially loved spending our mornings and evenings outside on the veranda (and at times could hear the soothing music from nearby Villa that had outdoor concerts) -- simply magical! We enjoyed several day trips (Lucca, Cinque Terre, Bolgheri, Barga, Florence) and had great meals cooked by Rosanna when we returned (an absolute must if you stay here). You definitely need a car when you stay here, but driving in Tuscany and its cities is very easy compared to Rome and Amalfi. The caretaker and his wife were very helpful if we had questions and the owner, Emilia, was always accessible and helpful via email and telephone. There was a problem with the dishwasher, and it was replaced the very next day!! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this villa and we hope to return some day soon!!

We have only good things to say about our week stay at Villa Al Callare.
Emilia and family presented a beautiful villa. We had a group of 11, with 4 kids, and everyone loved their bedroom, bathrooms, and the living areas. The villa was clean, the grounds were superb with a picture perfect pool, and there was lots for the kids to stay occupied with.
We can't speak highly enough of our week. The staff were so helpful, and we left happy and hoping to return.

The Photos don't do justice to this incredible house. Large, luxurious and yet welcoming and homely. Very clean, very well kept and beautifully furnished. The pool is a fantastic size and the salt water keeps it easy on the skin! We had a very warm welcome, nothing was too much for the lovely Housekeeper. Emilia was very efficient and helpful with all information and bookings, lots of extra info was provided, which was great help. She even posted back our son's toy car, which we left behind! The perfect location to explore Tuscany. 40 minuted from Pisa but literally two minutes away are some wonderful traditional Italian houses and garden stop list...if you can drag yourself away from the comfort of the villa. We will definitely be back...
