Cosy comfortable cottage within asking distance to station and town centre. Enjoyed walking to the cathedral and environs. Home away from home. After many weeks of travelling was a pleasure to do some cooking and enjoy the garden outlook. Thanks also for the Prosecco.

The Hang Your Hat cottage is a wonderful place to stay if you are visiting Winchester. I spent 5 days here for work and enjoyed it so much. It is conveniently located within an easy walk of the station, shops, and points of interest. The house itself has historical character and also modern conveniences, lots of natural light, a beautiful back garden. Mike was an excellent and caring host - responsive, a great source of tips for things locally to see and do. I would love to return here again the next time that I am visiting Winchester.

Mike is an accommodating and responsive host. He responded promptly to inquiries and changes of plans on our side. And he left a welcome bottle of bubbly that was quite welcome, as well as good wood that burns excellently in his fireplace. The property is at least as good as the photos, which don’t capture the true charm. The location couldn’t be better. We would return again.

A lot of thought has gone into this cottage. It is well maintained, well equipped & ideally situated for the short walk into the city centre. Mike the owner was very helpful & informative. Parking can be a little pot luck but was not an issue for us.
Will definitely consider a return.

Lovely little cottage with lots of little extras provided including bath robes and prosecco! Great location as walking distance to the centre of Winchester and lots to do in the surrounding area.
Unfortunately we didn't get the weather to enjoy the lovely courtyard garden.

Lovely touches, squeaky clean and very comfortable. We were exceedingly lucky to have found Mike’s place, it was light and airy, had everything we needed and was within easy walking distance of all that we wanted to do in Winchester. We’ll definitely stay there again when we come back to Winchester!

We were a little wary of going away during the current COVID situation, but the cottage is cosy and full of character, well presented and very welcoming that any concerns dissipated. It is a short meander into the centre Of Winchester, a pretty market town with delightful walks and restaurants.
The absolute icing on the cake for us though was the kitchen and garden. The kitchen has a very plentiful supply of everything you will need to start to relax instantly. The garden is an absolute oasis of calm to sit with morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening.
We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Winchester.
